Hi, I hate doing this stuff, but I guess I owe everyone an apology for disappearing. A lot has happened since I last tried to get back here and I feel like I'd do a disservice if I'd explain it here like it's nothing- since a lot of people got hurt, me included- and looking at this profile has been like being stabbed lately.. I tried sitting down to answer messages but my inbox is filled with hate I don't think I deserve, regardless of everything- cause the hate in question wasn't just harmless sentences or telling me to deactivate- but purposely targeted personal stuff that whoever wrote it knew what they were doing..

All of this to say that I will put this account on rest until I can figure out how to deal with this emotionally, I'm up for roleplaying on discord in case someone is still interested- though I highly doubt- and I will be "active" on main if anyone wants to talk or stay in contact, my dms are always open.

I don't want anyone to get any hate, reason why Im not saying names or talking about what happened specifically in respect to everyone involved, so please as always keep in mind to practice kindness towards everyone.

Hello! Thank you for the welcome!

It definitely took me a while to come to terms with actually wanting to continue my grandpa's farm and legacy. Thankfully, I've managed to steer clear of Joja (though I think they threatened me at one point) and I'm working on restoring the community center.

It seems a real shame that the town kinda seems like it died down a lot after my grandpa died.

So far, it's been really nice. I thought I'd hate it or it would be too slow paced living out here, but it's actually kept me pretty active. I even go and explore the mines to help Clint make metal bars!

Though I'm pretty biased and love working with the animals and crops. I finally learned to make jellies and cheese, so I'm really excited to see how everything goes!

Because of @sparkyblizz and their BenBaro post I have them on my mind…

Specifically, how Barok and Albert believed in each other even their lives took a turn for the worse.

Barok van Zieks believes in his old friend’s innocence deep down, and calls him a true scientist.

Albert Harebrayne believes that his friend from university is still a kindhearted gentleman.

And the way case 2-3 played out, it would have been really easy for it to be ironic (especially on Albert’s end, I was almost expecting him to be shown as naive for not seeing how much Barok has changed.) Instead, their bond is shown to be very sincere. They were both proven correct, trusting in one another.

That makes their parting quite bittersweet at the end of 2-3 because in any other circumstances, they could have been carefree and catching up.

But it also makes their eventual reunion post 2-5 that much sweeter.

Whether you see them as a romantic ship, a platonic bond or something in between, they certainly are close in spite of everything. And their relationship is one of the most heartwarming things I’ve ever seen in Ace Attorney. (Chronicles has a lot of sincere heartwarming moments, actually. And I appreciate all of them.)
