pretty much communism coming to it’s finest point tbh . all these restaurants , stores , businesses , all these places brando used to go to when he was younger ? done with , or just government owned & a blink away from breaking completely . it’s actually really sad because he’s literally watching it all happen , watching his country go down the drain & there’s really nothing he can do to stop it

his father becomes an active protester , along with many other angry venezuelans , but this does more bad than good . eventually his father gets arrested at a protest when brando is 11 years old . that was over a decade ago & up to this very day , present time , brando has no idea where his father is , if he’s well , or if he’s even alive tbh ( talk about trauma ? ) . it’s like one day he’s coming home , giving his only son a hug , & the next day , he completely vanished from planet earth , as if he’s some high profile serial killer when really , he was just protesting the shit communist government they’re living in

it’s just brando & his mom from that point on . of course , things just get worse with time . i’m not gonna get into details but basic poverty & communism tbh . they’re hungry , they’re broke , the country is just getting worse & worse with each passing moment ( hyper inflation , food scarcity , severe corruption , government abuse , do i even need to go on ? ) . all these things anger brando to no extent & he finds himself releasing his anger with his fists . it’s getting into random fights for no reason & screaming at anyone who even looks at him weirdly , pretty much becoming an angry ass kid

TW : SUICIDE , READ WITH CAUTION !! things are bad but they really hit rock bottom when his mother , surprisingly , commits suicide . brando finds her foaming at the mouth , a clear overdose , but by the time they make it to the hospital , she’s pronounced dead . literally a 15 year old boy , alone , in venezuela .... honestly terrifying . brando literally doesn’t know where to go ? on top of the trauma he’s holding he’s worried about his living arrangements as well . luckily , a friend of his allows him to stay at his house a few nights but this is just temporary

he just really wants to leave his country but he feels completely stuck . he’s depressed & angry as fuck but he’s determined to get out somehow . brando eventually contacts a family friend on facebook ( aka claudia’s mom ? ) & tells them his situation . it seems to touch this woman’s heart so much , she , wait for it , brings him over to the states . he spends his 16th birthday in america , with claudia & her family . the year is 2012

very slowly , but things begin getting better for him . he’s enrolled into school & pretty much gets guided through everything thanks to claudia . they are not blood related , but their families were so close at one point that they’re pretty much ? cousins tbh ! literally not blood related but still family

with his dedication & ambition he pretty much catches on completely in less than 3 years ( learning english of course ) , he loses his accent completely after 4 . he goes through a whole adoption thing with claudia’s family until he thankfully gains american residency thanks to them , which of course , eventually leads him to citizenship . instead of picking fights with people for no reason , brando takes out his anger with physical activity , becoming very much involved in going to the gym , or even just exercising by himself . whether it’s leg day , boxing , whatever it is , he loves any type of physical work , since it keeps his mind distracted

he also developed a hobby for piano , after taking piano classes in high school , beginning of freshman year . he’s been playing since he was 16 , eventually buying a crap keyboard when he was 17 . he does piano covers on youtube , but again , this is really just a hobby of his

he very much struggled with his sexuality for years . not because he was in denial or ashamed or anything , but for the longest time , he kind of just didn’t know what he was ? sometimes he thought he was straight but undergoing a phase , other times he wondered if he was gay , then he considered himself bi for a really long time . the truth is that he didn’t fully understand his sexuality up until not too long ago , when he began hanging with an lgbtq+ crowd . eventually , he realizes society basically labels him as ‘ pansexual ’ , but he doesn’t even really like to label himself ? brando just falls in love with the person , with their soul , & he doesn’t care what they have underneath tbh

i haven’t fully figured him out yet because he’s a new character but i picture he can be such a stereotypical leo sometimes , but , his whole #capricorn ascendant really does take place for him , in the sense that he can be a very difficult person to read sometimes . like is he happy ? is he upset ? is that just his face ? is he planning something ? you will rarely ever know tbh

very very hard working guy , ambition like crazy , always gives his all in anything he feels strongly about , he’s very good at persuading people tbh , usually gets told he’d make a ‘ great lawyer ’ because he just has this way of convincing you like ? he would never become a lawyer but the truth is that he would make a great one , persuasion skills like a MF

Okay so I wrote a fic. My first real fic I’m letting anyone read. One of my friends already gave me her opinion and I fully trust her and her writing skills so here it is. It’s based on Ari Adamian from Graceland S3.

I would have written Raúl Esparza related stuff but I’m too nervous I’d fuck that up.

Arak Nights.

It was a cool breeze in the July night heat that hit you. You stood outside Alibaba’s waiting on on Ari Adamian to finish locking up and getting some arak from the cellar. He said tonight was going to be WILD. Ari always tried to be romantic since he was such a cruel businessman. He wanted to show you he still had a heart but his idea of romance was a little messed up. To him, romance was taking you home getting you a little tipsy, having a rough screw then soaking in the tub, a few more shots then passing out. Not that you hated that but it did lack sweetness. But what can you do ?? He’s Ari Adamian not the bachelor. A hand came up your leg and stopped at your ass grabbing hard and he kissed the back of your neck. You felt a jolt of arousal go through you’re entire being. Ari always had that effect on you though. You had met him when you were an undercover FBIagent part of the Graceland house. So I guess the question is how does “YN, a decorated agent end up with a career criminal who is part of the sarkissian family?” Well that’s a complicated one. Your house, of what you once thought were allies began slowly to turn on each other and the cases. Paul Briggs was given Ari’s case by a higher up who said he wanted Ari. But Paul who was once the strong willed and assertive leader of Graceland, decided why arrest him when he can kill him?? Be rid of one more piece of scum on this planet. Paul brought you in to work on Ari. “You have to make him trust you, YN” he kept saying. You never had a single problem with Ari. In your time undercover with him there was only a strange protector vibe for you. He never let anyone get too close. 2 months into the investigation you sat over a desk full of papers with Armenian treaties, arms deals. Everything. And you’re burner rang that Ari gave you. You pick up

Ari: YN I need you. I need you desperately. Please.

(Clearly he’s three sheets to the wind.)

YN: oh yes sir i can be right over are you at your home address ??

You rushed to his address a location you’ve been many times since working with Mr. Adamian. You went in gun loaded and ready to shoot. You checked all the rooms. They’re all clear you see now the loud noise was a bottle of arak that had hit the floor and shattered. Not far from the bottle you find Ari unconscious. All you can think is “don’t you die on me you little cocksucker”. He grabbed your arm and squeezed saying “ah YN you came baby!!!” You looked up confused wondering if there was any danger at all. Ari stared up at you like a puppy whose lost his owner. You heard almost whimpers coming from the Armenian. Then you put it together. He fell from his stool shattering the arak bottle and an ash tray. He didn’t need you, he “needed” you. This asshole was trying to get his cock wet and ended up scaring the shit out of you. He raised up seeming to not be quite a drunk as he seemed on the phone. Was it an act?? Or did the arak just hit harder at some times?? “Ari you really scared me!!” You slapped him on the shoulder. He let out a giggle “you came running so fast. You care about me….” I looked up trying to hide my smile “no I don’t. I care about the job. And I care about Guy I mean Paul. Those are my priorities right now.” You were lying and you knew it. In the two months you had spent undercover to help Paul with his mission of murder you had really begun to like Ari. Since you had to be with him all day you saw his softer sides as well as the raw sides. He never hid who he was from you or apologized for it either. But you saw a good man. He reached up and cupped your face his had soft but firm as if saying “I’m going to treat you how you need to be treated. Loving and caring but strong and sturdy” You let your head drop and rest on his. He said “stop YN. stop you are allowed to relax in my presence. The job isn’t everything. I for one have enjoyed this time and I’m glad this whole job got set up.” You smiled and huffed pulling back “maybe not…” he leaned up to catch you from running away and kissed you passionately his tongue fighting it’s way in until he was raking against yours. You relished that feeling but couldn’t let it outweigh the enormous guilt on your chest right now. “Ari, it’s time to show you all of me… and I’m afraid you might not like it but if you’ll keep an open mind I promise I’ll explain to you something that could save everything… I’m a cop… an FBI agent to be exact but does that matter in the grand scheme of it all?? What is the grand scheme of it all??” As you ranted Ari stared at you in disbelief. You thought you had really screwed up. You were gonna die here now. But his face slowly changed looking deep into your eyes then pulling you in for another passionate kiss. You looked up after breaking the kiss and said “um did you hear me Ari ?? Anything?? I’m a cop!!” He said “I heard you okay. I hear you. But I don’t give a shit. This family is shit. I got demoted after Layla was killed. I can’t help do anything all they give me is Alibaba’s to watch over like a child watching over a dollhouse. But then you and Guy came in and you’re like a ray of sunshine. So no I don’t care you’re a cop. You’re the only part of my day I don’t try to drown out with arak.” You had no idea he felt this way but damn it felt good to hear. You looked at him and took his hand helping him up off the floor and into his bedroom somewhere no one was allowed to go. You decided in the short trip up the stairs you owed him the truth. Even if that meant putting your “family” at risk.

LAST: LAST THING I BOUGHT: Coffee. LAST STORE I VISITED: CVS, but I work there. Uh. Fuck, I haven’t gone to any store in like months other than my work. Uh. Gas station, I guess, for my smokes? LAST TEXT MESSAGE: “I can come in for work now if you can pick me up. TY.” LAST SONG YOU LISTENED TO: Everyone says don’t, sung by Raul Esparza. LAST THING I ATE: Shit, when did I even eat last? Fuck. Um. Yeah, this would be easier to answer if I ate more than like once a day. I think steak? Maybe? Idk, really. HAVE YOU EVER: DATED SOMEONE TWICE: Nope BEEN CHEATED ON: I don’t think so? But I wouldn’t put it past the bastard I was with, really. KISSED SOMEONE AND REGRETTED IT: … Honestly, y’know, that’s complicated. My great-grandmas have been gone 12-13 years now and I still have trouble talking about their deaths. BEEN DEPRESSED: I have bipolar disorder, depressed is one of my main emotions. I ended up in a psych ward due to a complete mental breakdown, and I realized I had an entire support network that I never thought to ask for help from before. Just everyone in my life really rallied around me. One of my friends, who generally hates driving distances, drove almost an hour to the hospital to see me, sometimes more than once a week (I was there for almost a month). That same friend also hugged me when he left, even though he is the least touchy-feely guy in existence. One of my work friends got really worried about me when I stopped coming to work, but he still didn’t pressure me to talk about it, just asked me what he can do to help, but told me that he doesn’t need to know what happened, only what I’m willing to share. I did tell him everything, because he is a good friend, but he was so good to me. People I hadn’t talked to in ages, because I was isolating severely beforehand, came and visited, or called, and it was just so touching. Even now, a couple months later, people will ask me how I’m doing, and my best friend (the one who drove couple times a week to visit) makes sure to call me several times a week just to check in, just so I don’t end up in that situation again. After the first psych ward visit (I had two this summer), I attempted suicide, and I called that best friend in a panic that I needed to get to the hospital, but I didn’t want my parents to know what I had done, so I didn’t want to call 911, and he came and got me right away, and he stayed at the hospital for almost 2 hours, until they took me back into the psych ward. FOUND OUT SOMEONE WAS TALKING ABOUT YOU: Yes, a coworker, but she does that to everyone, although I think I’m her special project. I don’t much care. GENERAL: HOW MANY PEOPLE ON TUMBLR DO YOU KNOW IN REAL LIFE?: Uh… no one, I guess, but I still defend I know enough about one to count it, so there. DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?: No and thank god. I’m not an animal person. I used to have lizards, but they died on me. I like lizards. I wanted snakes, but my mom (with whom I still live) said absolutely fucking not. DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR NAME?: Nah, I like mine. Wish people would pronounce it right, but that’s a different matter. WHAT TIME DID YOU WAKE UP THIS MORNING?: 6 fucking a.m. Which was only because I was due in at work at 7, otherwise, I am not conscious before 1pm, and often sleep until 3. WHAT WERE YOU DOING LAST NIGHT?: Hm. Work until 8pm, which was hell, and then fucking around on the computer until like 1a.m. Which may explain why I feel like death today. NAME SOMETHING YOU CAN’T WAIT FOR: Getting to drive again? Coffee with a girl next week? Seeing my best friend again? HAVE YOU EVER MET SOMEONE NAMED TOM?: … Honestly, I’m sure I have, but none come to mind. Must not have made a huge impression on me. WHAT’S GETTING ON YOUR NERVES RN?: Not much. I’m too tired to give any fucks about anything. Uh. The existence of 7 a.m. I’m pretty sure the devil invented mornings as a punishment for our sins. BLOOD TYPE: A positive. I used to be a blood donor, so I’ve known my blood type for years (I am no longer a blood donor, because the last time I donated, I got so sick my doctor was tempted to transfuse my blood back in.) NICKNAME: I don’t have one. And that’s fine with me. There are no ways to shorten my name, it’s only two syllables, and I don’t particularly care for pet names. Dear and sweetheart and honey are just… ugh. The only one I like is ‘babe’, and obviously, that’s not one I’ll let many people call me (I do have a coworker who calls me that, but she’s awesome, so she can) RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single. ZODIAC SIGN: Which one’s the zodiac? Is that the one with the animals, like the rat and the horse and ram, or is that the one with the astrology crap, like Cancer and Aries and Taurus? Either way, I’m a horse and a Sagittarius. And it makes no fucking difference. The year you were born in has zero effect on your personality, and the gravitational pull of the planets even less so. Actually, people have done the math, and the gynecologist present exerts as much gravitational pull on you (because all objects exert gravitational pull, not just planets and stars) as some of the planets on the horoscope, so if you really want to blame someone for your failings, why not the doctor who birthed you? The whole thing is an utter load of nonsense, really, bullshit fucking pseudo-science idiots keep falling for because they need something to believe in, because the stark reality that there is nothing guiding their lives and everything is random is too bleak. (This bleeds into my problems with religion, too, by the way, but I have a measure more respect for that, because at least it instills some level of ethics, which astrology utterly fails to do. Because, yeah, of course most of them do, their parents, who they trust unconditionally, are telling them these things, and telling them about the Tooth Fairy – and Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, by the way – is an exploitation of that trust, and of childhood innocence. We do it because it’s cute that little kids fervently believe in a magical man who brings presents, instead of the truth, which is that their parents love them, and that because they love them, this one day, they are given gifts, out of that love, and on a holiday that had become about familial love. How is that not a better story? Why does some magical shit need to get involved? And the contortions people put themselves through to keep Santa alive for their children, it’s absurd! (Also, don’t tell me Christmas is not about familial love, because it absolutely is – yes, it’s a religious holiday too, but I think Jesus would approve of it being about love, given his beliefs).
