1) 'Dying in a Hot Tub' by Palaye Royale (headbob-kinda rock) this song.. high volume is a must to really feel it, if you like this song would seriously rec listening to their other stuff, the vocals and bass and combination of hard-hitting and soft just get into the right places which continues in many of their songs, looking particularly at their 2016, '18, '20 and '22 albums

2) 'Vanity' by Big Terrible (slow-kinda rock) the opening.. a song that calms me down tbh, the slowness and the bassline combined are just, did first experience it through Lethal Weapon so i've tended to tie 1x01's case ending in with it but

3) 'Love in Separation' by Crispian Mills (slow-kinda indie?) this specific version isn't even released as a song (it was made for a film) but it's just relaxing (despite the subject matter and the scene it's used for uh don't uh don't yeah)

4) 'When The Curtain Falls' by Greta Van Fleet (headbob-kinda rock) Greta Van Fleet ahh.. Led Zeppelin-type is what they're most compared to, the combination of yodelling-type vocals and rock is just it for me

5) 'Shit Show' by Peter McPoland (headbob-kinda indie) a bit lighter but still goes hard in the chorus, the vibes

So, this was interesting, because I honestly listen to songs more than artists. I looked through the list of artists and realized there wasn’t a single artist that I’d listened to the entire discography of 😅

I ended up defaulting to Chloe Moriondo, which made me realize that she’d released a new album recently! Anyway, listening to that while I write this, so we’ll go in reverse order. And since she only has three albums, I doubled up on one and added one of her EPs :)

Road Trip - Rabbit Hearted. (2018) - This one gives heavy Wayward Son vibes (shoutout to my sister for pointing that out, and introducing me to this artist ❤️). The tune is happy, so don’t worry about the depressing parts of WS

Rly Don’t Care/GIRL ON TV - Blood Bunny (2021) - This was the hardest pick, since I LOVE every song on this album. I went to a Chloe Moriondo show when this came out and I was screaming the lyrics to every song. Again, there aren’t many albums here, so I’m doubling up :P This is the album I’d recommend people start out with if you like any of these songs, since every single song hits

Anyway! I picked these two because I’m someone who loves the magic of lyrics I relate to with a tune that brings those emotions out, and man do I relate to these two songs. I can’t recommend them enough

sammy - puppy luv EP (2022) - chloe actually played this at the concert I went to before it came out, which is how I know it’s about her blind dog named Sammy 🥺❤️ Aside from how adorable that is, it’s a really cute song in general

Fruity - SUCKERPUNCH (2022) - OKAY. Take this at face value, since I’ve listened through this album once (and usually it takes me at least 3-5 listens to determine if I like a song), but this is the one that stood out to me immediately. Just really energetic and queer and fun all around :)
