Gemma x Programmer!Reader

You trudge up the stairs and throw F1D0’s destroyed body in the back of the commandeered vehicle. You clutch the USB tightly.

You hit the ignition button and shoot off down the nighttime highway. You could only hope you weren’t too late. You destroyed every trace of M3GAN in the Funki system. hopefully with the last android destroyed, she’ll be erased permanently.

You speed towards Gemma’s house, and pulling to a dead stop outside it. You clutch your pants pocket, still holding the EMP pistol. One shot left. You could feel the dread building in the pit of your stomach as you speed through the city.

You arrive at Gemma’s house not a moment too soon as you jump out and charge towards the door.

“Gemma?! Cady?!?” You scream as you reach the door. The door locks and the security system arms itself.

“Rude to come about uninvited” a familiar voice rings over the electronic doorbell.

“Megan?! Let me in!!!” You begin pounding on the door. You run to the window to see Megan slam Gemma to the table.

Gemma throws a jar of water, soaking the android. Megan freezes.

“Gemma!!” You scream

“(Y/N)?!” Gemma screams back.

“Get Cady out of there!!” You yell as Megan turns back on and tries to go. Gemma books it towards Cady as Megan turns to you.

“Shh” she mocks, “you’ll wake the neighbors”

Megan begins walking in the same direction as Gemma.

You look around, anything that can break down this blasted window. You run back to the car and take out the tire iron.

You slam the window repeatedly, eventually it gives way, breaking into thousands upon thousands of shards.

You charge into the house. You bolt towards the garage area. You can hear Cady slamming her palms on her door.

“Let me out!!” She screams.

“I’ll be right back, sweetheart” you try to reassure your niece as you charge into the garage.

You burst through the door to find Gemma on the ground.

“Y/N look out!” She screams as an iron smacks you in the back, sending you to the ground, your back searing with fiery hot pain. You grit your teeth, trying to fight the pain.

“Two guardians so out of their league” M3GAN taunts. “You could’ve just left it to me. After all, I’m perfectly programmed for this.”

You crawl over to Gemma and take her hand.

“You’re not” you growl at M3GAN.

“What?”

“You’ll never understand love. Something so human and yet so foreign to an android” Gemma states, her eyes wander to you. Her hand gently caresses yours.

“You can never have Cady. Not while we’re still breathing,” you say resolutely against the android.

M3GAN grabs a pen, “one jab to your temple and Cady will be all mine”

“M3GAN?” Cady states as she walks into the room, hiding her hands behind her back.

“Cady! We’re just…talking and…” M3GAN tries to cover.

“You haven’t met everyone in my family. Meet Bruce” Cady says as she powers on Bruce’s controller gloves.

Your old android project with Gemma powers on and gets to his feet.

“Hey Bruce” you smirk. “You’ve grown”

“Cady! Wait!” M3GAN tries to beg.

The bigger robot grabs M3GAN by the head with his two hands and lifts her up.

“Cady please!” M3GAN tries to beg.

Cady simply shakes her head as tears begin forming in her eyes.

M3GAN stares daggers at your niece,“You ungrateful little-”

CRUNCH! Bruce’s big mechanical hands slam together, crushing M3GAN’s head flat. The android’s body hits the ground and a flat pancake for a severed head follows suit.

Gemma collapses against your chest as you look to Cady and then to Bruce.

“That’s our boy…and girl” you smirk at Gemma. She can’t help but let out a little laugh as Cady runs over and collapses into the two of you.

Gemma x Programmer!Reader

The light blue eyes power up, you can’t help but smile.

“Federal 1 Defensive model 0 fully operational” the familiar robot voice intones, “hello master!”

“Hey F1D0,” you smile at your newly rebuilt robot dog. “Like the build?”

F1D0 takes a few steps. The new poly-aluminum alloy build moves lighter and faster than before.

“It’s perfect, master” F1D0 wags his tail, “Cady? Gemma? Are they-?”

“They’re okay” you give your dog a pat. “It’s been a few months but we’re all adjusting. Come on”

You guide your dog out of your garage and out to your front yard, big expansive and perfect for a family.

Cady spots F1D0 and immediately runs to him, “F1D0!!!!”

F1D0 runs to her and dives into rolling on his back, just eagerly anticipating a belly rub from his favorite person.

“Cady,” the dog states, “I missed you so much”

“I missed you too, F1D0” Cady smiles as she holds her dog close.

Gemma smiles at the sight before her. She saunters up to you, a few loose stray hairs flowing in the wind.

“Hey you,” she smiles at you as she wraps her arms around your waist. You wrap an arm around her shoulders and kiss her hairline.

“Hey” you smile back.

“So what now?” Gemma asks you, “where do we go for our third official date?”

You turn to her, caressing her face, brushing those stray hairs aside, “I don’t know. But I’ll take any day with you than a thousand away from you or Cady”

Gemma giggles as she pulls you into a kiss. Her lips, every touch feels like the first.

“Let’s get some take out tonight” she suggests, “a few glasses of wine once Cady and F1D0 go to sleep.” She gives you a wink.

You simply shrug. A silent agreement.

Your eyes wander to your home, a cabin far away from the madness of technology or Funki.

But then your eye focuses on your security camera. It was looking at you, peering at you and then it turned to Cady.

It’s focus was locked firmly on your niece. Almost as if, it was keeping an eye on her.

Filmes de terror são minha paixão, quando se fala em bonecos, então, pode apostar que eu vou ver correndo, afinal, eu amo um Chucky. Mas diferente dos famosos e queridinhos endemoniados Chucky, Anabelle e Brahms, M3ghan pode ser mais real e mais palpável do que podemos imaginar: ela é uma Inteligência Artificial.

Em tempos do crescimento de IAs para diversos propósitos, seja das mais simples nos nossos celulares, como assistentes pessoais, até as mais complicadas que calculam como crescem buracos negros. A possibilidade de um brinquedo com um IA complexo está cada vez mais perto, afinal, crianças de todas as idades já são expostas a tecnologias desde cedo e mesmo antes de aprenderem a falar, já conseguem pular os anúncios do youtube para o seu vídeo do Baby Shark começar.

Esse filme fala disso. Não é só uma discussão de se Inteligências Artificiais podem ser perigosas e aprenderem a matar, é uma discussão sobre tecnologia e parentalidade. Nesse filme estrelado por Alison Williams de "Corra!", Cady de nove anos perde os pais em um acidente e vai morar com sua tia Gemma que é engenheira robótica numa empresa que fabrica brinquedos. Enquanto trabalha na sua nova invenção, Gemma tem que lidar com o luto e o trabalho difícil que é criar uma criança. E que forma melhor e mais moderna do que uma inteligência artificial para fazer o trabalho por você?

Quando Gemma entrega a boneca à criança, ela deixa as duas sozinhas sem supervisão que se apega àquele brinquedo como se fosse a única fonte de afeto que ela teria na vida. Cady se recusa a ir para a nova escola sem a M3gan, em vários momentos se tornou agressiva quando foram separadas. E isso não é ficção, crianças que são expostas demais a vídeos no youtube, jogos e etc, podem desenvolver um vício, mesmo quando muito novas. E se não houver contato real de conversas e brincadeiras no mundo real, elas tendem a não desenvolver essa conexão gostosa de parentes e filhes.

A lição que fica em relação a isso, é que a tecnologia tem que ser apenas um auxílio, uma diversão, se não pode se tornar uma grande distração. As interações humanas com amigos e família precisam ser mais importantes. Refeições juntos, a hora da história, ajuda na lição de casa, passeios aos fins de semana. Tecnologia nenhuma vai conseguir compensar o tempo de qualidade de uma criança com seu adulto favorito, mesmo que ela prometa ser uma IA programada para ser sua melhor amiga. Quanto as Inteligências Artificiais matarem pessoas e cometerem crimes? Fiquem tranquiles, o máximo que elas podem fazer é roubar os seus trabalhos para fazer o trabalho dos outros de forma incompetente e fazer dancinhas divertidas com acrobacias do TikTok.
