god damn some people on this site are so fucking hostile to even the IDEA of transmen and FTMs sharing terms with transfems, even ones as innocuous as "feminine boy". anyways im sorry people are gonna keep assuming your some evil little transmasc who can NEVER understand what its like to be oppressed because your icon has pants on. this isnt about the macklemore btw its about the femboy thing.
I know what you're getting at totally but completely out of context "this isnt about the macklemore btw its about the femboy thing." is the world's funniest sentence

Queer Gospel Music
This past year I came across several songs that I enjoy listening to on Sundays. I created a playlist for myself for Sundays and thought I'd share with y'all.
Yet : Ashley Hess - Ashley Hess was a finalist on the 2019 season of American Idol. I heard her perform this song at the Gather Conference where she introduced it by saying, "The next song that I'm gonna play is a song that I wrote in my lowest time. But it's a song that's so special to me because it was the moment that I felt like I finally came out of hiding, and that the Lord not only saw me, but loved me and embraced me." I can relate so much to that. Plus, I don't hear many songs from the perspective of "I'm trying, so God please don't give up on me."
God Loves Me Too : Brian Falduto - Brian played the gay kid in the movie School of Rock, and catapulted the character into an LGBTQ icon when he delivered the line “You’re tacky and I hate you.” Now as an adult, Brian is back and singing that no one has to earn God’s love. Brian wrote the song after visiting a church that was welcoming and accepting of queer people. I look around and see I’ve found a place where peace and love abound. I’ve waited my whole life for the truth. It is true, God loves you. It don’t matter if you’re LGBTQ
My Little Prayer : David Archuleta - David wasn't out yet when he recorded this, but I imagine he really related to some of these lyrics, such as I'm beginning to understand that you (God) have a plan for me.
The Queer Gospel : Erin McKeown - I love these lyrics. There are those who think we're wicked. There are those who call us names: depraved, lost and sick, and would rather bathe us in shame. But we put the "sin" in sincere, we put the "do" in the doubt. God is perfectly clear. We are perfectly out. Love us as we are. See us and we're holy. In this shall we ever be wholly ourselves.
Good Day (feat. Derek Webb) : Flamy Grant - Matthew Blake was a worship leader for 22 years who has become a “shame-slaying, hip-swaying, singing-songwriting drag queen” named Flamy Grant (it's a play on the name of gospel singer Amy Grant). The lyrics talk of coming back to church after having left for feeling oppressed. They’ve come back to church because despite what some say, God’s love is expansive enough for everyone. God made me good in every way, so I raise my voice to celebrate a good day.
Believe : GENTRI - The pianist for this group is gay. After coming out, he was having a hard time with faith and was angry at God, and he felt God gave him this song as part of his healing process. Believe there is an answer. And while you feel you're buried deep in a disaster, believe more hands are waiting, ready to lift you up and carry you back to safety. You're not alone, keep holding on. And believe.
Explaining Jesus : Jordy Searcy - In 2014, Jordan was a contestant on The Voice. He grew up active in a church and since being on the television show he has written several religious songs, including this one. Jordy discusses the shortcomings of churches, comparing the ways in which church members act and interact with each other, including how they treat the gay community and oppress women. If you're gay and over 85, you've felt for your whole life that when God made you, he just messed up. In the chorus he apologizes that this has been the experience, I'm sorry no one explained Jesus to you.
Satan's Tears : Kyler O'Neal - Did anyone ask how real you are? Has anyone said that you are loved, or that you’re the one they’re dreaming of? Those questions start this beautiful song by trans woman Kyler O’Neal. The song addresses a young gender non-conforming person unaccepted by their world, and the singer promises to wipe away Satan’s tears which were created by a cruel society
Same Love : Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Mary Lambert - Macklemore sings that his gay uncles should be allowed to marry, and speaks of how Christianity has hurt gay people. "God loves all his children" is somehow forgotten, but we paraphrase a book written thirty-five hundred years ago. The song concludes with Mary Lambert singing I’m not crying on Sundays, which I think means not letting religious intolerance and churches harm us anymore
No Place in Heaven : MIKA - Mika is singing about how religion teaches there’s no place in heaven for gay people because the way we love is sinful. Father, won’t you forgive me for my sins? Father, if there’s a heaven let me in
God Is : The Outer Banks - I don't know that they had queer people in mind when they wrote the song, but the lyrics relate to the conflict between one’s queerness and relationship with God. God was never angry. God was not against me. God was never far away. God is not disappointed.
I Know it Hurts : Paul Cardall & Tyler Glenn - I just wanted to believe, but how am I supposed to believe this about me? And then we find each other, queer church members who can understand what we’re going through, who know the hurt. For most queer people, they leave church and go on a different path. They’re not lost, a faint light at the end is guiding their way, they’re finding another way back home.
Losing My Religion : R.E.M. - The song was interpreted as the struggle of a closeted gay man coming to terms with what his religion taught about gay people and is seen as an example of queer coding in the era of “don’t ask, don’t tell.” Lead singer Michael Stipe had declined to address his sexuality, so when “Losing My Religion” came out, people assumed Stipe was coming out as gay. Consider this the hint of the century. Consider this the slip.
HIM : Sam Smith - This is a song about a boy in Mississippi coming out and the conflict between his sexuality and his religious upbringing. He is grappling with the feeling that there’s no place in church for him because he’s gay. Holy Father, we need to talk. I have a secret that I can’t keep. I’m not the boy that you thought you wanted. Please don’t get angry, have faith in me.
Pray : Sam Smith - You won’t see Sam in church, but they say they’re a child of God at heart and are begging God to show the way. I’m not a saint, I’m more of a sinner. I don’t wanna lose, but I fear for the winners
Faith : Semler -  This song reached No. 1 on the iTunes Christian music chart and is about growing up queer in a faith community and how the rejection by the church left them scarred. When my religion turned against me, they said my hopes and dreams were faulty. I showed these holes inside my hands, and they claimed they couldn’t see.” Even as they struggled with the church, Semler kept a relationship with Jesus and flourished far more than she did in any church building. But I don’t wanna get small to be in those rooms
Hey Jesus : Trey Pearson - Trey made headlines in 2016 when as the lead singer of the Christian rock band Everyday Sunday, he came out as gay. Three years later and Trey has a question: Hey Jesus can you hear me now? It's been awhile since I came out, I was wonderin' do you love me the same? As a person who struggles to reconcile faith with sexual orientation, I find this song quite moving.
Heaven : Troye Sivan feat. Betty Who - Troye sings about what it’s like for a religious teenager to come out as gay. Without losing a piece of me, how do I get to heaven? Without changing a part of me, how do I get to heaven? All my time is wasted, feeling like my heart’s mistaken, oh, so if I’m losing a piece of me, maybe I don’t want heaven? Troye explains “When I first started to realise that I might be gay, I had to ask myself all these questions—these really really terrifying questions. Am I ever going to find someone? Am I ever going to be able to have a family? If there is a God, does that God hate? If there is a heaven, am I ever going to make it to heaven?” The video features footage from LGBTQ+ protests throughout history.
Revelation : Troye Sivan and Jónsi -This song was written for the movie Boy Erased, which is about a young man being sent by his parents to a conversion therapy camp to try to change him to not be gay. The lyrics are about feeling liberated from the toxic teachings he learned at church about LGBTQ+ people. It’s a revelation. There’s no hell in what I’ve found, and no kingdom shout. How the tides are changing as you liberate me now and the walls come down. In other words, God doesn't condemn me for my queerness.
Orphans of God : Ty Herndon & Kristin Chenoweth feat. Paul Cardall - The message of the song is we are all loved by God, we are all thought about, we are all created equally and God loves us all the same.
Midnight : Tyler Glenn - The Neon Trees frontman gives an emotional song about his departure from the Mormon church but not from God. The ballad is accompanied by a video that shows Glenn removing his religious garments and replacing them with a glittery jacket, which is such a powerful metaphor.

I sometimes see the pro-palestine crowd hailing Macklemore as an anti-zionist icon -- an antizionist not antisemite.
You mean this macklemore?
Tumblr media
Does that remind you of this cartoon at all?

Seattle Fact #3:
As many of you are aware, Y2K Nostalgia is currently en vogue. This naturally means the next trend will be 2010s nostalgia.
What THIS means is that at some point in the 2030s the world's climate will shift irreparably and '10s icon Macklemore will rise again from his onyx sarcophagus in the catacombs of Old Seattle. Make sure when he does that you have some sacrifical hand-me-down clothes ready, lest he smite ye.

Macklemore dropped a song in support of Palestine and even had a Drake jab in there.
using rap beef as a Moment for an actual protest song with the proceeds actually going to something good. well, i simply have to say it's kind of iconic

Inspo: Macklemore - CHANT
Pairing: Jenna Ortega x F1Black!Male!reader
Summary: You knew the impact you had on the world.
Tumblr media
Warnings: Just angst
Words: 1420
Your life had always been on the track. Your sanctum of tranquillity had been inside that car. It was where you felt yourself. It was your safe haven. And after dating you for 3 years, Jenna knew this like the back of her hand. She knew the way your mind worked and what kept you going, and it was being inside that. Going over 200 mph and feeling that adrenaline running through your body. The way your mind always calculated the turns and overtakes of your fellow drivers. You were truly special and it was that knowledge that made you continue to drive.
“Baby, it’s like any other race. They aren’t going to take that fighter from me.”
You were prideful in everything you pursued. If it was racing or being a fiance to Jenna. Nothing could stop you from succeeding and Jenna loved you for it. But that didn’t change how humble you were to have gotten to where you are and achieve anything you set your mind to. Never forgetting the people who helped you rise to the position you were in.
Starting from F2, all eyes had been on you from the masterful driving you performed for crowds. Many F1 drivers praised you and told you how excited they were to face you themselves. And when you did make it to F1, you sure as hell gave them a run for their money. Winning Grand Prix after Grand Prix for Redbull and showing that you would be the next Niki Lauda and Lewis Hamilton. Even making friends with the racers after most of them have been your idols. Every day, you had fought to get where you were and there was nothing stopping you from exceeding that.
Race after race, you performed and showed the world what was possible. Standing up on those podiums with Lewis, your mentor, and sharing bottles of champagne like you two won the entire race together. Showing a kid like you that grew up in the East End of London that they could get to where you were. You were a national icon around the world. Kids had pictures of you on their walls and people representing you everywhere. Songs were made with you mentioned and in tribute to you. All of it constantly made you question, “Is this real life?”
The best part was that Jenna got to see it all. She got to be there before you even made it into F2 and got to see you quickly rise in the ranks in some of the best drivers. Able to recall the moment when you came out of the Redbull racing HQ with a big silly grin on your lips. Being able to see your plateau and rises. The hard times and the brightest times. It was beautiful, to say the least.
There was one thing that you had told her that had stuck with her. It was such a heartbreaking thing to hear but was able to understand it to some sort of degree. Remembering you pulling her into the barracks where the pit crew and rest of the team were and saying, “I will rise up even after death. I’ve made the impact I needed to on this world. So, promise me you will if that day comes.”
If she’d known how true that was, then maybe she would’ve stopped you from racing months ago.
“Oh, Y/n going down the inside on turn one. Overtaking Sergio Perez and Albon right off the start.” Paul Di Resta stated as you took the turn with ease.
Jenna sat in the barracks, staring up at the screen with worried eyes and hands clasped over her mouth. She’d always felt anxiety when you raced. Even after countless wins, she couldn’t help it.
But she watched as you took position after position in each turn and straightaway. You were showing that no matter what, your skills were something supernatural. God-given talents that made you shine out to the rest of the roster of drivers.
“Y/n is now in third with Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton ahead of him,” Anthony Davidson announced.
“Well, Anthony, the two Red Bull drivers have always been neck to neck with one another,” Paul said. “A friendly competition of course. As we have seen many times through the year so far.”
And everyone watched the two of you race each other. Overtaking one another each turn you two could, and the whole time you wore a smile. A joyful one that most were surprised was possible on a race track where it was only competition to exist. But you and Max had hit it off the moment you two met. Sharing jokes frequently and knowing that the match you two put up for each other was nothing more than friendly. If there was a chance for you two to be on the podiums, then you two would take it over anything else.
But all it had taken was one turn. One person to steer a little too far to the right or left for things to stop. For time to become non-existent as one person is put in a state of danger. Unfortunately, that had been you. Verstappen tapped you just barely and it had been enough to send your car out of control into the barriers. And in a moment, everything went dark.
The sound of your car exploding was heard from the barracks where Jenna’s body flinched upon the sound and the incident from the broadcast. It took a moment for her to truly understand and see what had just happened. Believing her eyes to be deceiving her until she finally saw the looks on your team's faces. The pure shock and horror that had plagued their expressions and that was when reality set in.
Hamilton, who had seen in his rearview your car go up into flames, had slammed onto the brakes and veered his car off to the side. Not listening to his crew to stay in and bring the car to the pit lane. Instead, hopping out of his car and sprinting back to where you were. Screaming out your name as he ripped off his helmet and tossed it to the side. Arriving at your car that was halfway through the metal barriers. Flames reaching out at an alarming volume.
And no one had any control over Jenna who had sprinted out of the barracks and into the direction she could see the orange glow. Able to hear Hamilton's screams over the roaring engines of the cars and crowd. But stopped when she saw the crash and your body.
That night haunted her every day, but here she was at the Le Mans Grand Prix. Standing in the centre of the track with the drivers all around with their heads bowed. Tears streamed down her face as she stared down at your helmet. The intricate details that you had her craft herself. When they tried to give her a brand new one, she denied it and asked for the one that you wore in your last race. Able to see the scratches and burns along the sides of the once sleek surface. Pressing her head to the helmet, she sighed in contentment.
She knew that if you were here with her, you would tell her that everything happens for a reason. You would console her in every way you knew would help. But now that you weren’t here, she wasn’t sure what to do. She wasn’t sure what to do without your kind heart to guide her through the darkness. Or your warm embrace would ever feel like again. She hated you for leaving her like this.
But what broke her heart was that you were right. People in the stands wore your colours and held posters of you. Everyone understands your backstory and uses that as the motivation to improve their lives. You were the birth of a new generation of people to strive for the best in themselves despite the cards dealt to them.
The countless hours you dedicated to this sport. All of the tears you shed for it. Every friend and fan that you had made. No one could take that away from you. There was no one else you could impress. You had made the impact you needed to and no one would be able to do it again. And for years to pass on, people would chant your name as one of the best drivers to ever live.
“Even after death, my message will inspire the next.”
And she would join them.

the "Barbara mixing up black celebrities' names with white celebrities" cold open gave me an idea for a hypothetical future episode
Barbara's birthday is coming up and her coworkers ask what she's hoping to get
Barbara says she'd love tickets to a concert from [insert white musician] here that's coming to Philly in a couple months, but she knows it's unlikely because the tickets aren't cheap
Her coworkers decided to pool their money to get Barb the tickets, but they're like "oh crap, who does she actually want tickets to?"
They spend the whole episode scrambling and trying to get context clues to figure it out
Finally they figure it out and manage to score Barb some great seats at a concert for an absolutely iconic black musician and give her the tickets on her birthday
Barb's really happy, everyone's super proud of themselves for figuring it out
Then in an interview, Barbara reveals that while she's super excited for the concert and really touched her coworkers did this for her, she thinks they might've gotten the artist she mentioned mixed up with someone else
Turns out Barbara really was hoping to see, like, Elton John or Macklemore or something
None of her coworkers ever realize this

Social media users have heaped praise on Grammy Award-Winning Rapper Macklemore after his latest song took aim at US War Criminal Genocidal President Joe Biden and the American political establishment over their unwavering support for “The Terrorist, Fascist, Apartheid, War Criminal, Liar, Conspirator, The Zionist 🐗 Isra-hell.”
Tumblr media
"The blood is on your hands, War Criminal Genocidal Biden, we can see it all," the US rapper said in "Hind's Hall," a track released late on Monday as Israel escalated its devastating assault on Gaza.
"What is threatenin' about divesting and wantin' peace?," Macklemore, Whose Real Name Is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, said in the track, referring to calls on US campuses to divest from Israel and end potential complicity in Israel's ongoing war on Gaza.
The song, released on Macklemore's Instagram account, sampled iconic Lebanese artist Fairuz and praises the pro-Palestine protesters that have set up encampments across dozens of college and university campuses during recent weeks, while facing violent crackdowns from police.
The track was released alongside a video featuring shots of armed officers forcibly dismantling and arresting the peaceful protesters on US campuses.

Clips of American politicians and corporations are interspersed with scenes from the devastation in Gaza and the ongoing “The Terrorist, Fascist, Apartheid, War Criminal, Liar, Conspirator, The Zionist 🐗 Isra-helli” Assault.
The Title, Hind's Hall, is a reference to Columbia University's Hamilton Hall, which Pro-Palestine protesters had occupied and renamed after Hind Rajab, a five-year-old child who was killed by “The Terrorist, Fascist, Apartheid, War Criminal, Liar, Conspirator, The Zionist 🐗 Isra-hell” in January.
The song has been viewed nearly 100 million times across social media across X and Instagram.
Users Praised Macklemore for calling out celebrities and artists who are not speaking up on the war in Gaza, which has killed nearly 35,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

Others Highlighted Macklemore's Lyrics That Reference The Nakba,Tthe Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine In 1948 To Make Way For The Establishment of “The Terrorist, Fascist, Apartheid, War Criminal, Liar, Conspirator, The Zionist 🐗 Isra-hell,” and allusion to “The Terrorist, Fascist, Apartheid, War Criminal, Liar, Conspirator, The Zionist 🐗 Isra-hell” As a Colonizing Power.
Macklemore also posted on social media that all proceeds from the song once it begins streaming will go towards the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), the main aid provider in Gaza.

Jonathan Moore (born April 21, 1969 - March 8, 2017) teacher, musician, entrepreneur, activist, and youth advocate, was born to Gwendolyn Jones and Jonny Moore in Seattle. He attended Morehouse College, where he formed the group Source of Labor with his brother Upendo “Negus 1” Tookas and DJ Kamikaze.
He started producing a series of community-based hip-hop shows and activities, the first of which, “African Echoes—A Hip-Hop Continuum,” premiered in 1992. Source of Labor played the Crocodile Café in Belltown, which brought Seattle’s ‘second generation’ of hip-hop downtown for the first time. He and his wife Erika “Kylea” White and Tookas—founded Jasiri Media Group, which Mickey Hess in the book Hip-Hop America: A Regional Guide.
He produced the all-age-friendly “Sure Shot Sundays” in 1999 at the Sit & Spin downtown to provide opportunities for young people to see, hear, and perform local hip-hop. It was there, that Ben “Macklemore” Haggerty made his live stage debut as a member of the group Elevated Elements.
When Seattle Mayor Paul Schell publicly blamed hip-hop for a 2000 shooting outside a Pioneer Square nightclub, he organized a peaceful rally at Westlake Park in response. Schell’s replacement, Greg Nickels, presented him with the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Hip-Hop in 2003. He teamed with fellow Seattle icon Vitamin D to grow the local “Big Tunes” producer/ beat competition into a traveling national event broadcast on BET. He began co-hosting “Sunday Night Sound Session” with DJ Hyphen on KUBE 93 FM in 2005. A lunch with Sub Pop Records Executive VP Megan Jasper led to experimental Seattle hip-hop duo Shabazz Palaces, signing with the label in 2010, which led to the signing of up-and-coming local MC Porter Ray, and the release of his debut album Watercolor.
His depth of service and contributions place him among the most significant cultural figures in Seattle’s hip-hop history. He is survived by his wife, Caitlin Brower Moore, and two sons. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

1. why did you choose your url? my gaming blog is @picopond, which is a pond in botw/totk, and i thought 'kolomo', a lake in the games, would match it nicely:) 'lakekolomo' was a bit of a mouthful, though.
2. any sideblogs? if you have them name them and why you have them. nope! the gaming blog is its own log in. i don't like the side blog feature all that much...
3. how long have you been on tumblr? 2011 or 2012, i think.
4. do you have a queue tag? nah, my blog runs on a queue so no need for a tag.
5. why did you start your blog in the first place? ummm, i just saw people on twitter using it back in 2011/2012, so that's when i made my first blog. i deleted it maybe a year or two ago and created this one for a bit of a fresh start.
6. why did you choose your icon/pfp? ei-chan very special to me
7. why did you choose your header? i was gifing snf and just thought that shot was neat. i've actually been meaning to update it... idk what to, tho.
8. what’s your post with the most notes?this one. that's cool! (oh my god and this one on the gaming blog...)
9. how many mutuals do you have? idk i don't track that stuff
10. how many followers do you have? 904, but i need to go through a cull the most recent bots.....
11. how many people do you follow?198
12. have you ever made a shitpost? yeh anything with gojo in it is a shitpost i hate that man
13. how often do you use tumblr each day? tbh depends if im bored at work or if there's a particular piece of media im really into and wanna see posts of. sometimes i can go a few days or a week without checking this hellsite.
14. did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? lmfao yeah. simblr was a rough place to be.
15. how do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this’ posts i ignore them on purpose and hope they curse me.
16. do you like tag games? yeah!! i always read the answers of the ones i get tagged in and then immediately forget to do it myself lol!!!
17. do you like ask games? yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i like talking shit!! except im probs gonna turn my ask off...
18. which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous? literally all of them and that's not even a joke lol
19. do you have a crush on a mutual? nope!
20. the last song i listened to: a tear in space (airlock) - glass animals
21. currently watching: yatagarasu, spice and wolf, no longer allowed in another world, oshi no ko, suicide squad isekai, twilight out of focus, and senpai is an otokonoko. non-anime is just drag race all stars, and i've been binge watching linus tech tips. you'll figure out why.
22. sweet/savoury/spicy? all three sorry!! cant pick!!
23. relationship status: single. i was on hinge for like two months and then i deleted it lol.
24. current obsession: building a pc!!!!!!!!!! tho researching what parts to get isn't that enjoyable lmfao so it's a painful obsession.
25. nine songs/albums i've been listening to:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the rise and fall of a midwest princess - chappell roan i love you so f***ing much - glass animals loom - imagine dragons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hit me hard and soft - billie eilish intellectual property 2 - waterparks stampede: vol. 1 - orville peck
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(and some songs:) hind's hall - macklemore the lovecats - the cure the great pretender - freddie mercury
i tried tagging people but the post editor was being really difficult so... if you see this, you can do it if you want!!!!
