ignoring the corinthian and in barton's case, on purpose, wasn't likely something a lot of people would be daring enough to do — but one should never underestimate just how petty the dollmaker could be either. and after getting into a disagreement with cori where he refused to acknowledge that he was wrong to do something, you better bet that barton wasn't going to take that lying down; so giving him the 'cold shoulder' was what he resolved to do. the only problem with that was that the corinthian was about as bullheaded as him. thus, while the doctor was content to pretend like he couldn't hear the other as he tried to talk to him, cori really didn't seem to be.

he must've been more dissatisfied than he was letting on, in fact, because one moment the dollmaker was seated in his own chair... but the next? barton was suddenly being pulled into corinth's lap. and a sharp exhale left him right after. at least, before his lips were soon pulling downward in a deep frown to show his irritation. ❝ uhh, yeah, excuse me? what the hell do you think you're doing? ❞ barton let out an incredulous scoff. this guy, or being rather, had a lot of gall — the sharpened fingernails of a thumb and index finger soon grasping cori by the cheeks from where he sat. barton tilted his head as he dug them into the skin.

The Nightmare likes pettiness. He relishes in driving anyone around him crazy with making scenes from issues of little consequence. Barton is the perfect kind of person to subject such pettiness towards.

But there's one thing that the Corinthian can not stand. And it's being ignored. Clearly, his behaviour has begun to irk Barton, as he's begun giving him the silent treatment.

The bubbling agitation that is summoned from the dollmaker upon pulling him into his lap draws a sharply proud smile across the Nightmare's lips. He sounds so pretty when he's annoyed.

Despite the fingernails digging into his cheeks, the monster's smile doesn't falter.

"Keep ignoring me, and I'll drill my knife into the back of your skull." He suggests comfortably. Splayed hands gently caressing up the dollmakers thighs as a taunting smile urges Barton to play along.

"You can't stay mad forever."

The loud buzzer signalled that the doors were being opened to let another inmate in. They never let all the inmates be together at the same time in the shared access rooms; besides the mess hall. Right now, the orderlies were wheeling in Joker. Taking off her spit mask before, she was nudged aside and practically shoved into the room as they closed the door behind them. Leaving the Clown Princess of Crime to scowl at the door. To say she was a mess would be an understatement. It was no secret that Joker's body was a medical mystery. That she healed inhumanly fast. But that hadn't been the case as of right now. The scrapes and bruises remained, the broken bones had yet to fully set. And rather than her cane, she was forced to use a wheelchair; although they had given her a manual one. Despite her not being able to really move around with one arm propped up to her chest and the other in a cast. Despite this, she still moved her hand down and began awkwardly wheeling herself through the room. Ignoring almost everyone till she reached the man she was looking for. "Dr Mathis." No nicknames, no giggles, no theatrics. The look on her pale skin was one of pain and discomfort. Her hair tied in a messy bun, no make-up to be found. And she was quivering in discomfort. A discomfort so deep that she could not even properly act the way people expected her to. A discomfort that reached her very being, her soul, carved into her bones! "I need your help..." Her voice clear but not too loud to draw attention. Bringing up her arm encased in a cast. "Inside the cast is a syringe filled with Smilex. I need you to break open the cast and inject me with it."

Her eyes drooped with a deep sadness. She was hurting, and not because of the injuries. There was something else, something deeper, that was hurting. She was twitchy, quivering with every motion. Like an addict needing a fix. But then there were the signs of dried blood under her nose, on the collar of her jumpsuit. On the side of the cast. "Please..." // - @mad-hunts

i'll do a random list of characters from different fandoms i like. my top favvs in DC would be kf and batman but it's too obvious AND it would be unfair as well 🤷‍♀️

connor from detroit: become human. he's just a baby boy! i love him the moment i played his scenes and his music theme is phenomenal! bryan dechart really did a nailed his connor's character because i instantly liked him when he came on screen at the start of the game. he's very sweet and cute tbh it's hard to not love him 💖💖💖

reverse flash from DC. his insanity and severe level of pettiness is what made him an appealing yet disturbing villain because of the crazy lengths he'll go to devote himself to achieve any goal without the ties of morals. i really love his comics and animated depictions the most tbh. especially in justice league: the flashpoint paradox and his goofy self in lego dc super-villains. overall, i think he's pretty neat even though i love to hate him a daily basis and he'll always sound like c. thomas howell to me when i get the chance to read a new comic of his ^^

widowmaker from overwatch. what a gut wrenching lore for a character so cold-blooded. she's the only reason why i used to play overwatch before it became a toxic community. i love everything about her, especially when she's quick to fire a vicious comeback no matter what or who it is she's addressing to. actually now that i realise it? she has similar vibes to louise lmfao. but only if she willingly 'evil'. but anyway! widow will always be my number one favourite character in overwatch forever. nobody can take her place ♡

azula from avatar. she's too iconic to ignore and neglect on this list tbh. the girl was literally 14 in the show and a straight up menace everytime she appeared on screen. it honestly made me think she was actually going to capture/kill one of the members on aang's squad. she's that terrifying. but then again she's pretty funny as well. i'll give her credit for that. anyway, azula is my top tier villain that gets too much hate and suffers from mischaracterization in the comics. despite that issue; the blue fire is so cool to watch in her battles and everything about her downfall is super well written! she's a inspiration to me ♡

slenderman from slender: the arrival. my favourite childhood horror character of all time!! i had to add him here. it's one of my favourite og games i've ever played and slenderman is a legend to the horror genre itself. i definitely had nightmares about him because i thought he was real when i was younger lmfao. the game just made it more terrifying because he always wins no matter what the main characters do

let's be real here—i would never in my life make contact with a super criminal and tell her off so carelessly because she would beat my sorry ass instantly, but if she was in a electric chair then i would definitely tell her to take more anger management classes, be less rude to people trying to be nice to her and quit killing people just because you got hissy with them and knowing her? she won't really listen to me! she'll call me a peasant 😔✋🏼

Margaret's favorite place is either: Her home, the rooftops, or wherever her friends are.

She doesn't hang out anywhere public by herself for a multitude of reasons, the main one being that she prefers solitude and quiet. Wherever the peeps are, that's gonna be her favorite spot to be.

in the dark, barton makes sure to hold thana's hand in the streetlight's perimeter, enough to make it clear to on-lookers how disgustingly affectionate the couple could be in the open. entirely a show, but one they promised to play to perfection until he felt like the message was received.

they giggled as they stumbled just a bit, still working out some alcohol from the evening out of their system. the date was a cover, as it always was, but as time spent between friends, thana ensured that they thoroughly enjoyed themself. was it necessary to keep up the farce to his door? probably not, but neither of them made any move to let the other go. barton stood on the steps, thana one down, with their arms around his neck as they gently rub their nose against his. close enough for anyone to make assumptions, but discreet—kissing was thana's singular rule in their arrangement.

he keeps his hands on their arm. “ you're welcome to stay, if you want. ” he says with a soft tone, which gives thana a moment to look at him and see his sincerity in the offer.

with a laugh, thana presses a kiss to his cheek and takes a firm step back, readjusting their blouse and pulling a lip gloss bottle from their clutch. “ i should get back home before the trains stop. ” leaning over, they find their reflection in the window and carefully reapply the gloss. “ we don't need to make anything complicated, y'know? might make this whole thing way harder to pull off, 'til your ex is off your back. then you can do whatever you want with whoever! ” they say, smiling, because they think they'll do him a favor by letting him down here and now. it might not be fully honest, but it's what they signed up for; no more, no less.
