Chapitre 9

Capitaine Syverson X OFC Billie Morgan

Résumé : Le mariage de Luke et Jane arrive finalement, l'attirance de Billie et James atteint son paroxysme!

Lundi matin très tôt, Sy levait des montagnes d’aciers avec ses jambes. Comme presque chaque jour, il s’entraînait au gym du poste de police.

Ses écouteurs crachaient du vieux rock dans ses oreilles. Morgan venait de le rejoindre son œil était toujours violacé mais il avait dégonflé un peu. Sy baissa ses écouteurs.

-Hey mec ...comment ça va?

Morgan ajusta la machine côté de lui.

-J’ai juste hâte que la semaine soit fini! Jane est en train de me rendre complètement fou!

Sy se mit à rire.

-Je te jure! On dirait que je ne reconnais plus ma copine, elle s’est transformée en monstre!

-Les femmes deviennent toutes folles à l’approche du mariage. Faith était pareille.

-Faith?

-Mon ex-femme. Mes frères ont tous dit la même chose. Heureusement ça va passer! Tu n’y penseras plus à ta nuit de noce.

-Si je m’en sors vivant! Je croyais que Bill était une tornade, Jane est bien pire.

Sy demanda subtilement.

-Comment elle va, Billie?

Luke s’arrêta et le fixa de son regard intense.

-Pourquoi tu veux savoir ça? Ma sœur t’intéresse?

Sy haussa les épaules. Bien sûr qu’elle l’intéressait, mais ça ne serait pas avec lui qu’il en discuterait.

- Je voulais seulement prendre de ses nouvelles après la visite de Chris elle avait l’air plutôt sonnée.

-Elle est encore sous le choc mais c’est du passé. Je vais m’assurer que ça le demeure.

Il ajusta les poids sur le rameur et prit place.

-Qu’est ce qui s’est passé. J’ai cru comprendre que la surdité de Billie le dérangeait?

Luke plissa des yeux en le jugeant avant de répondre.

- Chris a été son premier grand amour, ils ont été ensemble pendant 5 ans. Son handicap ne le dérangeait pas. Il avait même appris la langue de signe pour elle. Jusqu’à ce qu’il réalise 2 mois avant leur mariage que Billie ne pourrait jamais entendre leur bébé pleurer.

Sy fronça les sourcils.

-Il n’y avait pas penser avant?

Luke haussa les épaules.

-Je ne sais pas. Tous ce que je sais c’est que Billie est revenu à la maison après un voyage dans sa famille, absolument démolie. Le rêve de Chris d’avoir la parfaite petite épouse au foyer lui avait sauté au visage.

Sy sentit un élan de tendresse pour la jeune femme.

-Pourquoi elle ne pourrait pas être la parfaite épouse? Parce qu’elle est sourde? C’est ridicule!

Luke se mit à ramer tranquillement sur le rameur.

-Chris a été élevé dans la soie. La cuillère en argent dans la bouche. Il voulait la femme bibelot parfaite qui élève et éduque les enfants pendant qu’il faisait son boulot d’avocat. Être avec une personne sourde c’est différent.

-Pourquoi ? Billie a un travail comme tout le monde, des amis, des hobbies, je ne vois pas pourquoi se serait différent.

- Quand tu vas mieux la connaitre tu va-t’en rendre compte, elle fait d’énormes efforts pour que personne ne se rende compte qu'elle est sourde. C’est différent dans tous les aspects de la vie. Des choses aussi connes que parler au téléphone ou discuter en voiture, ce n’est pas possible. Tout est bien différent. Tu l’as entendu comme moi l’autre jour. Si elle ne fait pas de gros effort elle va finir par complètement arrêter de parler. J’adore ma sœur mais des fois c’est vraiment dur.

Sy avala une gorgé d’eau, il n’avait pas pensé à tout ça. Sa bite parlait toujours plus fort que tout le reste quand il s’agissait de Billie Morgan.

Dans le milieu de l’avant-midi, la jolie rousse entra dans le poste de police. Elle passa par la sécurité et le détecteur de métal, armée de son badge visiteur arriva près de son frère. Elle tenait un sac de nourriture et une housse à vêtements. Elle ne s’était pas maquillée et portait un jeans et un sweat noir extra grand. Elle fit un petit sourire à Sy dans son bureau vitré. Elle donna son dîner à Luke. Le poste de police était pratiquement désert.

-Une salade? Tu te fou de ma gueule? Elle haussa les épaules.

-Les ordres de madame la mariée! Luke passa les mains dans ses cheveux.

-Elle va me rendre dingue!

-Courage ! Elle veut que tu chois parfait pour votre grand chour. Déjà que chu vas avoir un beau cocard sur les photos…

Elle s’assit sur la chaise près de son bureau.

-Vous en êtes rendu où? Tas l’air épuisée?

Billie hocha la tête.

-La maison est nickel, les décorations sont presque fini. Mais …Prendre une semaine de vacances c’était la pire chose à faire! Jane est tyrannique! La maison est pleine de monde, bientôt tout tes vieux potes vos être là pour votre soirée.

--Super! Tu t’es sauvée?

-Oui, je chuis passé chez le tailleur récupéré ton habit. Tu peux l’essayer s’il te plaît? Edward voulait savoir si la taille était correcte.

--Maintenant? Ici?

-Oui ch’il te plaît, je dois le rapporter chi quelque chose cloche.

Il avala sa bouchée.

-Ok. Il prit la housse et se dirigea vers la salle de bain.

Billie en profita pour aller voir Sy, elle cogna timidement sur le cadre de sa porte ouverte. Son regard s’illumina et il lui fit signe d’entrer même s’il était au téléphone. Elle posa les fesses sur l’accoudoir de la chaise devant son bureau et regarda les photos accrocher à son mur. Il y avait une belle photo de famille. Les cinq frères Syverson, ils avaient tous la même silhouette musclée. Les mains dans sa poche de sweat elle essayait de se réchauffer. Le vent soufflait fort aujourd’hui et il faisait un froid de canard.

Sy la regarda à la dérobée, elle avait l’air encore plus jeune que ses 27 ans aujourd’hui avec son grand chandail qui appartenait sûrement à Luke et ses jeans trouée.

-Oui… je vous tiens au courant. Bye. Il raccrocha et attendit un instant qu’elle le regarde.

-Oh Bonjour Capitaine!

-Bonjour, qu’est ce qui me vaut le plaisir de te voir dans mon bureau aujourd’hui?

Ses yeux verts trahissaient sa fatigue. Les cernes sous ses yeux étaient violets.

-Tu sais que je t’avais dit que je parlais à des amis dans l’immobilier? Elle sortit une petite carte de sa poche. Mon ami Kevin à peut-être quelque chose qui pourrait t’intéresser. Une jolie maison avec une grande cour et des arbres près d’ici. Elle est pas aussi grande que la nôtre mais elle à l’air vraiment bien.

Sy haussa les sourcils et prit la carte.

-Vraiment? Fantastique! Je te dois un dîner. Elle sourit en se frottant le nez.

-Si on commençait par ce stupide mariage avant? Sy se mit à rire, avec elle il avait le rire facile.

-D’accord...Je crois que le marié est prêt…

Billie se retourna vers son frère et ses yeux se remplirent de larmes instantanément. Il était absolument sublime dans son habit noir 3 pièces coupé sur mesure pour lui. Il avait même mis la cravate assortie.

-Non non Elizabeth Rose Morgan tu ne vas pas te mettre à pleurer.

Il avait les yeux aussi mouillés qu’elle.

-Tu … beau! Elle essuyant les larmes de ses yeux. Papa et maman seraient tellement fiers de toi!

-Arrête ... Il ouvrit les bras et elle se jeta dedans.

Même Sy était ému. Les jumeaux Morgan s’étaient fait une place dans sa vie chacun à leur manière. Luke comme ami et Billie comme la femme qu’il souhaitait ardemment conquérir.

Luke la repoussa bien vite en chassant une larme de son pouce.

-Alors tu en pense quoi?

Elle respira à fond et fit le tour de son frère en l’inspectant des pieds à la tête.

-Enlève la veste. Il s’exécuta et la lança sur son épaule tel un mannequin. Elle s’assura que la taille était correcte et la longueur des pantalons était bonne. Elle prit quelques photos.

-Je vais les envoyer à Edward. Il voulait voir ton joli petit cul dans les pantalons qu’il a fait spécialement pour toi. Elle reprit avec un air sérieux pince sans rire. Ouais t’es pas trop moche. Jane devrait sûrement dire oui.

-Aller monsieur le marié va te changer avant que le téléphone sonne.

-Oui capitaine.

Luke retourna se changer.

-Et toi, monsieur mon cavalier as-tu trouver quelque chose de décent à porter?

-Ouais, j’ai trouvé quelque chose de convenable pour accompagner ma sublime cavalière. Tu vas toujours porter cette jolie chose bleu foncé?

Elle hocha la tête.

À vrai dire, il avait galéré comme un malade pour trouver un habit parfait pour sa taille de colosse. Il ne voulait surtout pas avoir l’air con à son bras.

Le téléphone de Billie se mit à vibrer et à clignoter comme un arbre de Noël.

-Désolée. Oui maîtresse? Dit-elle en ouvrant la conversation vidéo. Jane hurlait dans l’appareil.

-Où est ce que tu es bordel? Tu étais supposé revenir il y a 45 minutes!

Elle sortit du bureau de Sy en lui faisant un petit signe de la main.

-Bye.

-Je suis au bureau de Luke. Son habit est parfait. La jeune fiancée passa de la colère aux larmes de joie.

-Vraiment?

-Oui ne t’inquiète pas il va être beau comme un cœur.

-A part ce foutu œil au beurre noir!

-Ça lui donne un côté bad Boy sexy arrête de t’en faire. Photoshop est là pour ça!

-Tu es tellement une bonne amie! Je te revaudrais ça à ton mariage!

Billie se mit à rire.

-Jamais de la vie. J’arrive bientôt. Elle raccrocha.

Luke lui redonna son habit dans la housse.

-Alors vous avez prévu quoi comme fête d’enterrement de vie de fille?

-Une soirée au club de stripteaseurs je crois bien, Sarah et Marina se sont occupés de cette soirée. Je dois y aller avant que ta chère future rameute le SWAT pour me ramener.

-Tu vas aller aux stripteaseurs?

-Jamais de la vie!

Le grand jour arriva enfin. Debout aux petites heures du matin, Billie veilla à ce que tout soit fin prêt. Le marié jouait au golf avec ses amis pendant que la mariée se faisait coiffée et chouchouter par l’équipe beauté qui avait été engagé pour l’occasion.

La réception aurait lieu dans un magnifique parc derrière l’hôtel où aurait lieu la cérémonie. Tout était absolument parfait.

Billie avait très hâte que tout soit fini. Entre le dîner de réception, l’arrivée des nombreux invités, le stress de la mariée, elle était sur les rotules mais elle devait tenir.

On lui fit un sublime chignon et de jolis petits diamants dans ses cheveux rouges. Elle enfila sa robe cette fois-ci elle avait prévu des caches mamelons pour cacher un peu sa féminité.

Tout était parfait la cérémonie pouvait avoir lieu comme prévu. Les invités prirent place pour la cérémonie. Billie se tenait dans le fond de la salle, elle devait attendre Luke. Elle avait convenu avec Sy de se rejoindre après la cérémonie étant donné que Billie était demoiselle d’honneur et serait à l'avant. Billie était nerveuse d’être devant tous ses gens, heureusement ce n’était pas elle la mariée.

Elle faisait les 100 pas nerveusement en attendant, elle marcha la tête penchée. Elle buta sur un invité qui se tenait devant elle.

-Pardon.

L’homme ne bougea pas. Elle releva la tête et tomba sur le sourire en coin de Sy.

-Bonjour mademoiselle Morgan.

Il était renversant, il avait choisi un superbe costume 3 pièces gris perle coupé parfaitement pour son corps musclé. Il l’avait agencé avec une chemise blanche et avait rajouter un détail qui toucha Billie. Sa cravate et son mouchoir de poche était bleu nuit exactement comme sa robe. Ses yeux bleus brillaient de joie. Billie le trouvait magnifique, il avait fait tailler sa barbe et ses cheveux. Il s'était donné beaucoup de mal pour être beau pour elle. Ses yeux verts lui disait qu'il avait eu raison.

-Bonjour Monsieur Syverson. Elle était très heureuse de le voir et lui fit la bise pour la première fois. Sy se prêta au jeu avec joie et effleura sa joue de sa barbe bien taillée.

-Allez va t’assoir, dit-elle en le poussant un peu. Ça va bientôt commencer.

Cinq minutes plus tard, Luke arriva nerveux et excité à la fois.

-Tu es parfait Lulu. Jane va t’adorer.

Luke souffla longuement.

-Je t’aime petite sœur.

Il posa son front sur le sien. Il prit son bras. C’était convenu depuis le début que Billie accompagnerait son jumeau jusqu’à l’hôtel.

-Tu es prêt?

-Non. Allons-y.

La musique résonna dans la salle de réception et Luke se mit en marche en tenant sa sœur par la main.

Devant l’hôtel Billie sourit à son frère.

-Je suis fière de toi mon petit frère. Je t’aime.

Quelques personnes versèrent une larme, Billie et Luke étaient très touchant ensemble.

Puis la mariée fit son entrée. Jane était éblouissante dans sa longue robe blanc crème de dentelle. Sa silhouette de sirène était parfaite. Luke ne put s’empêcher de verser quelques larmes.

La cérémonie fut parfaite et émouvante. Luke prit Jane pour tendre épouse et l’embrassa avec joie. La réception avait lieu dans le jardin derrière l’hôtel. Billie retrouva facilement Sy au travers des invités et il ne lâcha pas son bras de toute la soirée.

Il était prévenant avec elle s’assurant qu’elle avait toujours un verre frais à la main. Il faisait une chaleur de folie pour un premier juin.

-Tu veux qu’on aille dehors tu dois avoir chaud avec ton habit?

Sy avait le front en sueur. Il hocha la tête.

-Oui. Si tu veux bien m’accompagner.

Il prenait son rôle de cavalier à cœur. Pas un seul homme n’osait l’approcher et elle en était très contente. Elle ne voulait que celui qui la tenait délicatement par la taille pour ce soir.

Les invités commençaient à danser sur la piste de danse. Rendu hors de la tente surchauffée, Sy ouvrit son veston, dénoua sa cravate et deux boutons de chemise.

-Ça me surprend, tu ne danse pas? Je croyais que tu adorais danser.

-Je ne suis pas terrible pour la danse de salon. Je suis un peu gênée devant tout ce monde.

-Danse avec moi. Il lui tendit la main. Ils venaient de rejoindre une petite terrasse déserte éclairé par une guirlande de petites lumières. Surprise elle s’arrêta de marcher.

-Tu es sûr? Tu veux danser ici?

-Oui! On est à un mariage, il faut danser! Danse avec moi Billie, je ne danse pas aussi bien que Luke mais je me débrouille. Il n’y a personne ici tu n’as pas à être gênée avec moi.

Billie se mordit la lèvre et accepta.

La noirceur commençait à descendre doucement. Il lui tendit la main et elle la prit. Il l’attira à lui, elle posa l’autre main sur son épaule.

Sy posa la main dans le creux de son dos et l’attira doucement à lui plus encore. Leurs corps se touchaient, Billie se sentait bien contre lui, la chaleur de son corps se diffusait au travers de son habit, la protégeant du froid de ce début de soirée.

Sy caressa son dos du bout de ses doigts un peu rugueux. Billie se lova encore plus dans ses bras, un petit gémissement de plaisir lui échappa. Sy sourit, il caressa sa joue et elle releva la tête vers lui. Ses yeux verts brillaient différemment, sa petite main vint caresser sa nuque se pressant encore plus contre lui. Sy n’hésita qu’un instant et posa ses lèvres sur sa belle bouche pulpeuse.

Au premier contact, se fut électrique des ondes de plaisir parcoururent le petit corps de la jeune femme. Billie ferma les yeux de plaisir, Sy envahit sa bouche sans résistance sa langue caressa la sienne avec une passion longtemps refoulée. Il mordilla sa lèvre lui arrachant un soupir. Elle sentait le grondement dans son torse alors qu’elle se frottait contre lui, un bras contre sa taille et l’autre autour de son cou. Elle pouvait clairement sentir l’excitation dans son pantalon aussi grande que la sienne.

Puis en un instant il était loin d’elle, elle le regardait sans comprendre à bout de souffle. Il s’essuya le rouge à lèvre sur sa bouche.

-Luke te cherche… Il arrive.

Elle n’eut que le temps se reprendre en main avant de sentir la présence de son frère dans son dos.

-C’est ici que vous être? Qu’est-ce que vous foutez ici?

-Il fait une chaleur d’enfer sous la tente. Nous avions besoin d’air frais.

Luke les regarda successivement heureusement il avait trop bu pour remarquer le rouge sur les joues de Billie et le souffle court de Sy.

-Viens petite sœur, ma femme veut danser avec sa demoiselle d’honneur. Il lui prit la main et l’emmena avec lui. Elle n’eut que le temps de faire un petit sourire à Sy avait de partir vers la tente. Sy lui retourna son sourire. Il toucha ses lèvres qui pétillaient de son contact électrisant.

La soirée battait son plein, Billie avait avalé bien plus de champagne qu’elle n’aurait du mais ça lui était égale. Elle dansait avec plaisir et s’amusait follement. Elle sentait toujours le regard ardent de Sy sur elle et quelque part cela la rassurait. Après quelques danses Billie retourna s’assoir près de lui. Elle tituba légèrement et s’appuya sur son épaule pour ne pas lui tomber dessus.

-On dirait que tu as bu une coupe de champagne de trop toi…

Billie se mit à rire, un petit sourire en coin flottait sur les lèvres de Sy tandis qu’il regardait les danseurs évoluer sur la piste de danse.

-Non… peut- être…

Il se retourna franchement vers elle.

-Tu t’amuse? Elle hocha la tête.

- Oui beaucoup. Merci de m’avoir accompagné. C’est gentil de ta part d’être venu avec moi.

Sy sourit. Billie bu le verre d’eau qu’il lui tendait. Ils regardèrent les danseurs pendant quelques minutes. Billie avait un peu froid, elle frissonna et se colla sur Sy, il irradiait de chaleur.

Sans même sans rendre compte, elle mit la main sur le tronc d’arbre qui lui servait de cuisse sous la table.

Sy ne bougeait pas pendant un instant quand il sentit la petite main sur sa cuisse. Elle la retira quand un invité s’approcha de leur table et discuta un instant avec Billie. La petite main reprit sa place sur sa cuisse et Sy ne pu s’empêcher de soupirer de soulagement.

Enhardie par le manque de réaction négative de Sy, Billie fit remonter sa main lentement de l’intérieur de sa cuisse, elle sentait un renflement dans son pantalon quand Sy saisit son poignet brusquement. Il murmura :

-Qu’est-ce que tu fais?

-J’ai froid, je cherche la chaleur.

Le regard de Sy était brulant, il se mordit la lèvre. Il retira son veston et le mit sur ses épaules.

- Merci

-De rien. Docilement, elle garda sa main sur ses propres cuisses pendant un instant mais elle avait d’autres idées en tête. Timidement elle reposa la main sur la cuisse de Sy.

-Tu as encore froid? Elle hocha la tête. Alors remet-là à la chaleur… Il posa sa grande main sur la sienne et la fit remonter vers l’intérieur de sa cuisse. Billie effleura la bosse dans son pantalon, Sy frissonna sous son contact délicat, il ferma les yeux un instant.

-Depuis combien de temps personne n’a toucher ceci, dit-elle en tapotant l’énorme bosse dans le pantalon de costume de Sy. Un intense frisson le parcouru. Dieu que c’était bon, cette petite main sur lui!

-Trop longtemps.

-On devrait faire quelque chose pour ça.

- Qu’est-ce que tu veux dire? Elle haussa les sourcils et se mordit la lèvre de façon suggestive.

Il hésita un instant mais l’envie de soulager la tension qu'elle créait en lui depuis des semaines fut plus forte.

Aussitôt arriver sous le couvert des arbres, Billie s’attaqua à son pantalon de ses mains fébrile, Sy se colla contre elle, embrassant son cou cherchant sa peau de ses mains, sa bouche chercha la sienne fébrilement. -Arrête de rire et mets ta main dessus s’il te plaît.

Elle le caressa de tout son long elle faisait à peine le tour. Sy soupira et appuya la joue sur sa tête. Elle sentait ses veines palpiter dans sa main. Il caressait doucement ses seins au travers de la soie de sa robe. Ses mamelons pointaient vers lui. Elle ne portait pas de culotte...

La soirée battit son plein jusqu’à tard dans la nuit. Billie dansa avec Jane puis Sy l’invita à danser une nouvelle fois. Il n’était certes pas le meilleur danseur mais ils avaient du plaisir.

Vers 4h matin, Billie n’en pouvait plus, elle était littéralement vidée. Elle étouffa un bâillement qui n’échappa pas à Sy.

-Tu as l’air épuisée. Tu veux que je te raccompagne?

-Oui s’il te plaît.

Ils dirent bonne nuit au marié et prirent le chemin de la maison de Billie à bord du camion de Sy. Il n’eut même pas le temps de sortir du stationnement que Billie dormait déjà pelotonner dans son siège la tête sur la console centrale. Il la couvrit de son veston.

-Dors petite fée.

Il se stationna devant leur maison et fit le tour de son camion et ouvrit la portière. Il devait la réveillée. Il lui secoua doucement l’épaule et elle se mit à gémir.

-Non… s’il vous plaît... non. Rien …. fait… Jane…

Elle faisait un cauchemar. Il la secoua plus fort en espérant la réveiller.

- Merde, Billie ma belle réveille toi.

-Non! Non!!! Je veux pas mourir! Elle ouvrit les yeux subitement et le regarda. Elle était terrorisée! Sa respiration affolée s’emballa.

-C’est moi ma belle. Elle le repoussa et toucha sa bouche. Elle reprit pied dans la réalité lentement et regarda autour d’elle.

- J’ai fait un cauchemar…

-Tu vas bien?

-Quoi? Il alluma le plafonnier.

-Tu vas bien? Elle cligna des yeux, un peu perdue.

-Oui. Ça va maintenant. J’ai rêvé à Jones… quand je me suis réveillé tu étais là comme au chalet…

-Tu fais souvent des cauchemars? Elle hocha doucement la tête. Il lui donna un doux baiser sur le front. Tu as parlé à quelqu’un de tes cauchemars ? Un professionnel?

Elle secoua la tête.

-Non. Je pensais que ça passerait tout seul. Il pressa sa main dans la sienne.

-Tu fais un choc post-traumatique ma belle. Tu devrais vraiment parler à quelqu’un. Ça te ferait du bien.

Une autre voiture se gara derrière Sy et deux femmes en sortirent. Une jeune femme tituba et tomba sur la pelouse en riant. L’autre essaya de la relever mais peine perdu.

-Je crois bien que ma cousine Annie à besoin d’aide, je dois y aller.

Il ne lui répondit pas mais prit son visage entre ses grandes mains et l’embrassa une nouvelle fois profondément. Billie soupira contre lui. Il savait exactement comment l’embrasser pour qu’elle se transforme en jello dans ses bras. Il rompit leur baiser et se détacha d’elle.

-À la prochaine petite femme. Fais attention à toi.

Games which have a multiverse:

Now although not clear there are quite a few games which contains features of multiverse’s. Whether this is the plot of the game, a gameplay mechanic or the fact that the game has multiple different endings we can look into how games decide to use the concept of multiverse inside of their games.

Family Guy: back to the Multiverse

The first game is family guy into the multiverse. The plot of the game is that the main character Stewie and Brain follow the antagonist through 7 different universes. The different universe’s are all different due to something being different:

Universe 1 is is a universe which is ruled by Greek college students.

Universe 2 is a universe ruled by the Amish.

Universe 3 is a universe ruled by handicapped people because they were given a lot of “special treatment” which resulted in them to lead to power.

Universe 4 is a universe where everyone is evil

Universe 5 is a universe where pirates came to rule.

Universe 6 is a universe where no one needs Santa due to them buying presents online. This causes Santa to become a weapons dealer.

Universe 7 is a universe where aliens have been invaded by alien chickens.

This game uses the concept of multiverses in order to present the player with different types of levels. This is a good way to easily use the multiverse them inside of a game. This also means that the creators of the game were able to make whacky levels which didn't have any relation to each other.

Bioshock Infinite:

Bioshock uses the theme of multiverse in a different way compared to the family guy game. Here is a nice video I found which talks about the use of the Quantum Multiverse Theory in the game.

In the video it talks about the aim of the game is to find a young girl called Elizabeth who isn't your ordinary girl. Elizabeth has the ability to open “Tears” Tears are portals into alternate realities. While jumping between alternate realities you uncover that the “Lutest Twins” who took you to Columbia are infact the same person just from different universes. It is also revealed that in the game that your character and the evil villan in the game are the same person from different realities. Your main character in one universe has a daughter called Anna. However the villan comstock (who is you from a different universe) comes and kidnaps your daughter from your universe and renames her as Elizabeth. Revealing that Elizabeth is actually your daughter. However while being taken as a child she gets her finger cut off and remained in your universe when a tear closes. This is how Elizabeth manages to get her ability to open the Tears herself.

Now we need to think about the science behind this and how it would work. The use of Quantum Multiverse theory and it relates to the Schrodinger's cat quandary. The Schrodinger's cat quandary is basically a thought experiments where we imagine a cat in a closed box with a radioactive sauce, poison and a Geiger counter. When the Geiger counter detects a radiation particle a process that is fairly random it breaks the bottle of poison and kills the cat. After time leaving the box alone there is no way we can tell whether the poison bottle has broken so the cat can be considered both alive and dead.

Another example of this is plugging in a usb. When plugging it in without looking the usb is both in the correct and incorrect rotation. Its not until you try to plug it in and observe whether it is the correct way round you have then collapsed the probability curve to be one or the other. The quantum multiverse idea is that if I observe the usb stick to be correct when I plug it in there also exists another universe where it was incorrect.

In the BioShock universe the 2 universes are made when the decision for the main character to get baptized appears. You as the player don't get baptized and stay as Brooker Dewitt and have a daughter. However in another universe you do get baptized and become Comstock a childless prophet and founder or Columbia. When in the players universe Rosalind lutes was working on manipulating quantum atoms for her city floating lutes field. She discovered her alternate self in another universe Robert lutes (where she was born a guy) doing the exact same experiment as she is at the exact same time. This led them to creating a device which could create Tears between alternate realities.

In the game not only does Bioshock use the multiverse theory as a plot point it also uses it as a gameplay mechanic through Elizabeth being able to make tears to help the character progress through the game.

Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions:

Spiderman: shattered Dimensions is about when an artifact called the “Tablet of order and chaos” is shattered. this caused problems with multiple marvel realities. A character called Madam Web calls on four versions of Spiderman ( The amazing spiderman, Spider-man Noir, Spider-man 2099 and the Ultimate Spider-man. In the game they have to work together to get all the pieces of the artifact back together in order to restore balance to the universe.

In the game they use the multiverse theme to allow the player to play as 4 different Spiderman character which add variety to the game play as characters. When playing as Spider noir most colour to the level is taken away and the colour is very minimal due to him of course being “noir”. However when playing as spider 2099 the environment is very brightly lit as well as very futuristic to fit in with the spider man you are playing as.

Lego Dimensions:

Lego dimensions mainly uses the whole theme of multiverse as a selling point. with the game being very much like sky landers where you use physics figurines for the different multiverses it tries to get the player to spend a lot of money to have all the characters from each multiverse. The game has 30 different franchises which range from the power puff girls all the way to Beetlejuice.

The plot of the game is that in the center of the Lego Multiverse which is inhibited by an evil mastermind. It is said that the person who controls the foundation elements that the planet is built upon, controls all of the multiverse. Your task in the game is to stop lord vortech for gaining the power to the multiverse.

What I have taken away from this research:

The one main thing I have taken away from this game research is that the theme of multiverse can be used in multiple different ways such as different levels, game play mechanics as well as having multiple of the same character in the game in order for people to have a variety of characters to play.

I Promise I'll Love You Again

Slugterra OC Introductions

Welcome to my introductory post for my Slugterra OCs. I only have 3; the rest I had I either moved into my own original universe or just chose to leave behind (apologies, dearest Jensen).

For more context, for my timeline, present day is after the events of Ascension take place. I'm boring like that.

Madame Noire (Elizabeth Noire)

Age: 29 (might be changed)

Introduction As mentioned previously, I had several Slugterra OCs, some of which needed to interact with Dr. Blakk. This was pre-Ascension, so I had to figure out a reason why Dr. Blakk would be present. Ultimately, I decided that I should just make a character to replace him in the company.

This character was made many moons ago, and her character has stayed mostly the same. Of course, now that Ascension has been released, her existence is not really warranted, but I really enjoyed having a version of Dr. Blakk that was pleasant to be around, so I kept her.

Background

Young Elizabeth Noire was never fond of her father, and her father was somehow even less fond of her. When given the opportunity to leave her life behind by the same man who did her a favor and lied to her father on her whereabouts, she took it. That man was no other than a young Thaddius Blakk. She'd been with Thaddius from the very beginning, back when Blakk Industries was a mere concept. As such, the two have been through a lot together. Dr. Thaddius Blakk may never admit it, but dear Elizabeth might be the closest the man would get to a daughter. She, alongside her most beloved researcher, Desmond, mostly worked at the Blakksite; a secret facility unknown to most of the 99 Caverns' inhabitants. The two would visit the Citadel for status reports and research findings, but they were rarely seen outside of that. At least, not often enough for people outside of Blakk Industries to really know of her existence.

Present

After Dr. Blakk's disappearance, Elizabeth had been working away at mending the pieces he left behind. Alas, she'd finally rebuilt Blakk Industries to the great company it once was, and many believed that Blakk Industries may be better in the young woman's hands. Little do they know, despite being the new leader, she is still chasing after Dr. Blakk goals of taking over Slugterra, especially after his sudden reappearance into her life.

Desmond "Dez" Stanger

Age: 30

Introduction Now, let's start with the fact that Dez is not really a Slugterra OC at all. He started out in Slugterra, but I did eventually choose to move him out to my original universe, Momentum (and he has a vacation home in My Time at Portia). However, I'd decided I wanted to revisit my Eastern Caverns OC, and knew I needed him for her character to work, so he's back.

His background has not really changed since his inception, just added onto. His personality has changed a bit though: from an overworked and tired researcher, to one who very much likes working a lot, but chooses to prioritize his sleep and general well-being. Essentially, he's a well put-together adult now, and a lot more nice and polite.

You are a lot more likely to see Dez than the other 2, due to a combination of him playing a part in multiple stories, and just the fact he's my favorite (and currently the prime victim of my obsessive behavior).

Background

One would not have guessed it from his gentle demeanor, but Desmond Stanger hailed from a family of ruthless mercenaries and bounty hunters. They were known for their prowess in slugslinging, but so were they known for their lack of mercy and inclination to play dirty. Desmond wanted no part in it. He decided he wouldn't follow in his family's footsteps and instead pursued where his heart lied: the sciences. To this day, he rarely mentions his family and would prefer to not disclose his home cavern. As he left behind his fate as a slugslinger, he found himself studying and, eventually, working at the Slugterra Institute of Technology in Futuria Cavern. However, it wasn't long until the researcher grew an interest in Dark Water, and what better place could he get his hands on the substance besides Blakk Industries?

Present

Desmond currently works as a researcher and engineer at Blakk Industries, and has been doing so for some time now. Working mostly under Madame Noire, they were usually situated at the Blakksite, but have moved operations to the Citadel after Madame Noire's takeover of Blakk Industries. His main goal is to study Dark Water and find any beneficial uses it may have, but it seems the work of designing and creating weapons has taken up much of his time since he was hired. He is less than thrilled about it; even less so knowing what exactly will come from his work.

Veera Trivedi

Age: 16

Introduction I'm not sure why I decided to do it, but I made an OC from the Eastern Caverns. My friends from the time I made her might know that I could never figure out what I wanted for this character.

Revisions were constant. This character came from me wanting a character from the Eastern Caverns; not because I had any real love for her. Though, I'm happy to tell you that after a long visit to the hospital, I do finally have something for her. It only took a couple years of neglect.

It will be obvious that she's just the "badass fighter who doesn't talk a lot and is angry all the time," character type, which I admit, I am not the biggest fan of. In all honesty, I find her interactions with Desmond the most endearing part of her character and it's pretty much the sole thing I care about.

Background

Youngest daughter of the Trivedi family of the Eastern Caverns. Her family's sacred duty was to act as a bridge between the inhabitants of the East and the Shadow Clan. When the Shadow Clan had come to them to deliver a message that their newborn daughter would be the one to defeat a great evil, the Trivedis wasted no time to make sure the young Trivedi would be more than prepared to best this great evil. She trained all day and night. She was expected to not only be a slugslinging master, but too a slug-fu master. She was neither. She fought hard to be what was needed of her, but then the dreaded day came: The Champion had returned, alongside a group called the Shane Gang. They brought down the Emperor, and her entire life. Being part of the Trivedi family meant the young girl had access to ancient Shadow Clan technology most people could only wish to get their hands on. Stealing one of the Shadow Walkers her family kept hidden away, she left behind her life in the Eastern Caverns, and doesn't intend on ever looking back.

Present

Veera now resides in the 99 Caverns. She works as a regular goon at Blakk Industries and acts as Desmond's apprentice during her off-time. She harbors an immense amount of shame and resentment that she is able to channel during work. Though she struggles with things many might find second nature, she's been blessed with Slugterra's most patient teacher.

Conclusion

I do realize all their backstories are incredibly similar. I'll spoil the magic: not intentional. I came up with their backstories separately and they all somehow ended up the same.

Now, I would love to continue spamming this post with useless facts of my characters, but I will save that for a, "Dumb Stuff about my Characters," post.

Though, I will say that I have mentioned several times on my Instagram that Veera sees Desmond as a father figure and Noire sees him as her best friend. However, he would never call Noire his best friend (despite caring about her as much she does him). Not for any nefarious reason, I just believe it might it a bit out of his comfort zone to say things like that. He seems a little too reserved.

Veera and Noire do have a relationship, it's just not on the same level of the one with Desmond. Noire is quite warm with Veera; it's just not the kind of warmth Veera can appreciate quite yet.

Joan Geraldine Bennett (February 27, 1910 – December 7, 1990) was an American stage, film, and television actress. She came from a showbiz family, one of three acting sisters. Beginning her career on the stage, Bennett then appeared in more than 70 films from the era of silent movies, well into the sound era. She is possibly best-remembered for her film noir femme fatale roles in director Fritz Lang's movies such as Man Hunt (1941), The Woman in the Window (1944), and Scarlet Street (1945).

Bennett's career had three distinct phases: first as a winsome blonde ingenue, then as a sensuous brunette femme fatale (with looks that movie magazines often compared to those of Hedy Lamarr), and finally as a warmhearted wife-and-mother figure.

In 1951, Bennett's screen career was marred by scandal after her third husband, film producer Walter Wanger, shot and injured her agent Jennings Lang. Wanger suspected that Lang and Bennett were having an affair, a charge which she adamantly denied. Bennett married four times.

In the 1960s, she achieved success for her portrayal of Elizabeth Collins Stoddard on TV's gothic fan favorite, Dark Shadows, for which she received an Emmy nomination (1968). For her final movie role, as Madame Blanc in Dario Argento's cult horror film Suspiria (1977), she received a Saturn Award nomination. Her obituary in The New York Times stated she was "one of the most underrated actresses of her time."

The day we met the Doctor (The Thick of It): The 2009 Downing Street Christmas Party, and as many Doctor Who meta jokes as a could shoehorn in to 3k words.

And on the seventh day, he rested (The Thick of It): Malcolm Tucker descends on the Murray household on his day off to manage an oncoming storm. My personal favourite of all my TTOI fics.
