The reason Gellert is possessive because deep down he's insecure about himself in the relationship, because he knows he will never meet or love someone like Albus. Because it's so rare to him, he treasure their bond to the point of appearing insecure.

When they argue, it's Gellert who start it but he catches himself and be the first to compromise and retreat.

The met multiple times beween the 1899 Summer and fantastic beasts events. Like many times.

Albus likes Gellert's curly hair and he always offer to help Gellert style it. (Gellert likes Albus's hair too)

Gellert likes Albus's beard, he likes all of Albus's style, wizard style-muggle style. His flamboyant style is one of the things he was attracted to in Albus when they first met

They are the same height. (Sorry not sorry haha)

Albus also gets "jealous" through very rarely. But Gellert has always attracted attention from other people because of his looks and charming personality. Sometimes it annoys Albus but he doesn't show it.

I was crying while rewatching SoD. I was crying from how bad I felt for Dumbledore. So then my mother said, "You're wasting your tears on this man? Go marry him, then. Oh wait, you can't, he's gay." I choked-

“ Gellert gave him a cordial nod, quickly looked down, than held Albus’ gaze once more. A gentle smile graced his full lips; the same smile that had appeared two weeks prior when Albus told him that he did not invite a partner to the Yule Ball. It was at this moment that Albus realized Gellert’s intention may have truly been to invite him, that perhaps it had not been a light hearted quip. Oh why did he laugh at Gellert’s invitation, dismissing it with a wave of his arm? Stupid.

Gellert eyes held a subtle longing tangled between his light lashes. It was as though he wanted to step forward and join Albus, but a sudden flash of betrayal shot through and that longing gaze was gone.

Now a certain Miss Dilimar held his arm, the red velvet crinkled between her pretty gloved fingers. Albus could not wish for a more suitable partner for her. Miss Dilimar was a very good soul. She was the type of lady one introduced to their parents and received instant approval. What she lacked in humour and worldly knowledge she made up for with a pleasing attitude and glassy green eyes. If Miss Dilimar should have been wrapped around any gentleman’s arm, it should have been Gellert’s. They made a fine pair.

It would have been very droll if Albus had been in her place. Gellert was just as tall as him, a fair bit more broad shouldered. They would have looked devilishly awkward together and taken up too much room on the dance floor. Besides , who had ever heard of two boys attending the Yule Ball together?

It was as it should have been. Every good girl waited on an invitation from a gentleman and every gentleman should strive to seek out the most worthy,

“-Girl.” Albus mouthed the words, convincing himself that the deep sigh escaping Gellert’s chest as he met his gaze again was simply a coincidence.”

Imma just say this cuz it's taking too much energy in my brain.

I love Johnny Depp, but his protrayal of Grindelwald wasn't that good.

He was through an awful lot of shit but also his performance wasn't groundbreaking nor as deep as Mads Mikkelsen's performance.

I know that in the first 2 movies we didn't see much of him but the Grindelwald we saw in this last movie has erased all previous appearance of Depp in my head.

The feelings that he inmersed in the character as well as his likeness has a certain something that Depp's didn't and it's shown in a movie vs 2 previous ones where the only thing we see about Gellert is his disdain for everything and everyone.

With Mikkelsen's acting we see the charm, the stuff that makes him seem so trustable and like his stance isn't gonna crumble easily.

So I can just say this: Hate the treatment to Depp but not his replacement in the franchise.

TLDR: I don't think that liking Mads Mikkelsen's Grindelwald is supporting the bad treatment Johnny Depp had.

I literally would love to read Grindeldore hate to love au in the same style as The Cruel Prince book series, where the main couple start with having unbalanced power dynamic that shifts completely to the other person's hand later.

Okay i know it’s been so long since the movies came out but i cannot express to you how obsessed i am with that one scene in the secrets of dumbledore when him and Grindelwald are fighting and it’s all flashing lights and spells and ahhhhhhh, and then they stop. They stop with their hands on the others chest both with a look in their eye, realising this is THE ONE moment in which they have the opportunity to kill the other, and they both know they need to and this is the only chance they will get, but they just…. can’t. They can’t do it, the realisation in both of them that they are just as in love as they always have been, that denying and running away hasn’t made it stop. They love each other and they always have. That the possibility of living in a world devoid of the other is not an option, that both KNOW people are relying on them and if any of their other members were here they wouldn’t hesitate. But they just can’t do it. The way you can just feel the pure goddamn heartbreak in their eyes is just JFJFJFJJSJDHSHDHHDJFJF anyway thanks for coming to my ted talk.
