I like how, right now, most of Tumblr is waiting for the collective to pick a candidate to back before throwing in with that candidate. The complete and utter lack of any actual internally-held principles is rather astoundingly apparent.

You've got a few Bernie posts going around, but with an extremely limited response from mainflow Tumblr compared to the last lead-up to the election cycle, because there isn't a socially accepted "best candidate" yet. You're not seeing much response for any of the other candidates, either, and not just because they're all devoid of merit, which they are. No, Tumblr socialites are being wary, out of the fear of mistakenly backing the "wrong" horse and suffering social ostracization for it.

And once the gestalt finally coalesces and lands on whatever horrible choice it's going to make, all those people will pretend to have supported that candidate from the very beginning, and demonstrate their famed rabid bloodthirsty behavior on behalf of said candidate. Most of them aren't even looking into the policies of each candidate, and never will, because that's irrelevant to them. All they need to know is what the popular, media/celebrity-approved choice is, and that's the point when they'll throw away any and all manner of caution or self-restraint, instead focusing on devoting themselves fully to the social candidate, even warping their minds into a sort of worship-state towards said candidate in their rush to rid themselves of their Self, in order to better subsume themselves as part of the collective.

But right now, Tumblr is just waiting to see which candidate can gain them the most virtual social points and the most consistent outlet for outrage-induced dopamine release.

It's just an interesting insight into leftist politics in general, and how completely founded they are in the use of social "peer" pressure and in-group thinking. It's not about the politics or the morals, it's about the herd and their status within it. Pretty fascinating stuff from a sociological perspective.

Neues Shopware-Modul "Bonus-System"

SO PUNKTEN SHOPBETREIBER BEI IHREN KUNDEN Ab morgen ist ein neues Shopware-Modul erhältlich: das Bonus-System. Shopkunden und-betreiber profitieren gleichermaßen von dem Bonus-System, denn während der Kunde für seinen Einkauf mit Bonsupunkten belohnt wird, profitiert der Shopbetreiber von wiederkehrender Kundschaft. Mit dem Modul können Shopbetreiber ihre Kunden für ihre Treue belohnen und sie an ihren Shop binden. Registrierte Kunden bekommen beim Kauf bestimmter Artikel Bonuspunkte gutgeschrieben. Die Punktezahl wird jeweils in der Artikelbeschreibung mit angegeben und wird nach Abschluss der Bestellung auf das jeweilige Bonuspunkte-Konto des Kunden addiert. Der Shopbetreiber bestimmt selbst, wie viele Bonuspunkte ihm der Einkauf seines Kunden wert ist. Die gesammelten Bonuspunkte können die Shopkunden später wahlweise gegen Bonusartikel oder gegen einen Gutschein eintauschen. So kann der Kunde mit seinen gesammelten Punkten selber entscheiden, ob er diese gegen eine Prämie oder beim nächsten Einkauf im Warenkorb gegen Euro eintauscht. Mit dem übersichtlichen und leicht zu bedienenden Backend verwalten die Shopbetreiber die Bonuspunktestände ihrer Kunden. Die Shopbetreiber bestimmen außerdem die Intervalle, in denen die Bonuspunkte freigeschaltet werden, schalten sie wahlweise manuell frei und bestimmen auch selbst den Umrechnungsfaktor von Bonuspunkten in Euro. Zur Einführung des neuen Moduls bieten wir eine einmalige Aktion, die sowohl für Neu- als auch für Bestandskunden interessant ist: So gibt es das Bonus-System bis zum 31. Januar 2012 für 295,- statt 495,- Euro, Ihre bestehenden Kunden sparen somit über 40% des regulären Kaufpreises. Außerdem erhalten Kunden, die sich bis zum 31. Januar 2012 für den Kauf einer Professional Edition entscheiden, das Bonus-System kostenlos dazu.
