Fierce Deity Broly

A commission I ordered from ZaionZonzini. Imagine the canon Broly enhanced with god ki, and combined with the Fierce Deity’s power and knowledge, thanks to that mask. The broccoli would become mintachio (mint + pistachio ice cream). And yes, the pelt is converted into a more formal cape.

Except this is the entertainment edition. Reading, both regular fiction and fanfic, and a long list of games to play / replay.

Not gonna lie, it's been a hot minute since I've consumed media; I've mostly just been writing. Which is not a healthy balance for one's creativity.

SO.

Fanfic first, that's why you're here. I'm flexible from slice of life to heavy with plot, canon divergence is my jam but I'm open to other AUs as long as everyone's written in a way that makes sense. Time travel is also epic. Family bonds. Found family. Platonic closeness, romance... and I vastly prefer happy endings.

"NOPES" include explicit anything (no gore, no over the top on-screen violence, no on-screen sexual activities that can't be easily skipped), no in-detail descriptions of blood. No or very very limited horror elements, absolutely no noncon or incest.

Sometimes he wondered if he could ever actually do anything genuinely right without getting chastised for trying and failing. Even if he did eventually let BEN join in on the rescue despite initially wanting to keep him away from harm, he still had doubts at the time whether that was the right choice or not. Thankfully BEN was able to take care of himself at the end, but DB didn't want to imagine what would've happened if Wesker got to BEN as well because of him...

"...Hey. Don't... worry about it. You were just worried about Gold. It's completely understandable." Banana wanted to insist on letting BEN keep the Chateau Romani, but he also knew that if anyone who didn't have the context were to see them, it would look like he's intentionally encouraging underage drinking to kids, undead or otherwise. And he did NOT want to get in trouble for that even if he knew that in-game for BEN it's.... technically allowed...

So the 'gift' was grabbed and stored into the Inventory for later. He'll figure out some other justification to drink that, don't worry-

i dont fan out about stuff very often, most of the time when i do its mainly video games

im a huuge fan of zelda stuff, im in the process of playing through as many games as possible for the first time. big fan of majoras mask and skyward sword. botw was the first one i tried a d it really set things off for me, i guess i dont really show my love for it very often hahaha!

i love stardew valley, fallout (mainly 3 and new vegas) , yakuza, old animal crossing (not a fan of new horizons, i could go on about how much i hate it lmfao) , house flipper, fortnite... i enjoy almost anything except turn based rpgs, i struggle a lot with them lmao

not really into any shows or anything, im a huge fan of mob psycho and honestly cant think of anything else rn

i like spooky unsettling stuff and very cute things too but cant really tie that to anything in particular

i generally just really love dragon ball and doing dragon ball related crafts lmfao...... 🫰😏

ANIME VS MANGA. KRILLIN'S INCLUSION IN THE TOURNAMENT OF POWER.

DBS EP 92-99

Goku compliments Krillin when wanting him to join Team Universe 7. Goku is confident in Krillin & says "We need your quick-thinkin' fightin' style!"

Krillin fights despite Beerus telling him not. Beerus later cheers for him.

Krillin saves 18 (who was caught off guard by a sneak-attack) from being the first team member of Universe 7 to be eliminated.

His quick-thinking allowed him to jump off the arena to save 18, then propel them back to safety with a ki blast.

K18 team-up and defeat Shosha with team attacks. K18 receive praise from Beerus.

Krillin's strategies & their teamwork gave them victory.

After Majora knocked both Krillin & 18 down, 18 doubted they could defeat Majora, but Krillin was confident. Krillin tells 18 he will fight Majora 1 on 1. Krillin skill puts him on par with Majora's strength, then Krillin outsmarts and eliminates Majora on his own with a Kamehameha.

Krillin's quick-thinking came in handy just as Goku said it would.

That statement & other moments are "setup & payoff" & "Chekhov's gun." (Another instance is in DBS EP 84 when K18 told Goku that teamwork is important when he was recruiting them. Then, Universe 7 wins because of teamwork; Goku teams up with Freeza & 17 to defeat Jiren. All thanks to Goku learning from K18.)

Krillin briefly lets his guard down & is eliminated by a craven sneak-attack from Frost instead of Frost fighting Krillin head-on (cause it's highly likely that Krillin can beat Frost if Roshi was able to stand up to Frost for a short while & Krillin is leagues stronger than Roshi). Then, Frost immediately runs away from 18 like a coward. Beerus is upset Krillin got eliminated, but it's not done in a hateful manner. Beerus was proud of Krillin & gave him praise (unlike in the manga 😒).

Ribrianne represents the silly Krillin haters of the fandom.

After Ribrianne insults Krillin & K18's marriage (like K18 haters do), the anime staff write that K18's power of love defeats Ribrianne, giving a symbolic middle finger to Krillin haters & K18 haters. 🖕

DBS CH 32-34

Goku insults Krillin when wanting him to join Team Universe 7. Goku isnt even confident in Krillin & says "I think you might make a good teammate in this tournament!"

Krillin is inaccurately portrayed as weak & worthless by Toyotaro. He writes for Krillin's wife, best friend, master, & other characters to be mean to him.

In the manga version of the ToP, Krillin does absolutely nothing, then is immediately eliminated by a sneak-attack from Frost. Beerus is mad at Krillin and the scene is written to make fun of & belittle Krillin.

Toyotaro makes the Kamikaze Fireballs have reversed standards of beauty (unlike the anime versions who obsess over love) just to insult Krillin & enforce the undue hate from the fandom. Toyotaro is a Krillin hater trying to mask it with bad comedy.

(In many anime, the lack of a nose and round face is artistically done to represent cuteness & a youthful design. Krillin was designed in such a way. A short, cute & youthful face with a muscular body at peak human conditions. Ppl only call Krillin ugly because they don't want him with 18 & others follow the lie. Toyotaro is one of these ppl promoting the lie.)

INTERVIEW: 📝

The anime crew understood that Toriyama included characters like Roshi & Krillin for a reason. They showed off the skill of the Earthlings & why they were chosen for the tournament.

But in the manga, characters like Krillin & Tien are quickly eliminated. It mostly focused on Saiyans and quickly got rid of non-Saiyan characters in insulting ways.

Which one do you think appreciates & understands the characters more?

Anime or Manga? The answer is obvious.
