Also possible Ulysses×Courier Six thing, just to share as you are the Ulysses blogger to me: With my current courier, Ulysses' ability to endlessly monologue is equally matched by Nelson's ability to ask endless questions. They will have very long discussions on just about anything. (Also of note: Nelson is a psyker, the last remaining member of what became of the surviving Children of the Cathedral. Deuteronomy 2:10 by the Mountain Goats plays for both him and Ulysses.)

Your stuff is reminding me of an alt timeline au I have hanging around where the Legion won the first battle of Hoover Dam but didn't win the Mojave. With the absolute skeksis court shit going down with the Legion as instead of one big firey demise it's a slow but sure death of Joshua and Eddie's bond. They're sleeping in different bedrooms (Joshua has a base in Boulder City.) and the idea that "Okay if we just take Vegas things can even out again" from winning the first battle is dead. And Joshua's having an affair with my bastardman courier six. It's just an absolute disaster in the Mojave.

The only continuous AU I have set in a world where the Legion wins Hoover Dam the first time is the one where after the victory Joshua decides he should be running things, kills Edward, cuts off his head and preserves it in a jar of honey like King Herod and Mariamne so he can go on using him as a private emotional crutch while projecting whatever thoughts feelings and opinions he wants onto him without the pesky matter of Edward’s personality getting in the way. But the two ideas don’t really contradict each other.

Have you seen The Death of Stalin? One of my favorite Jason Isaacs performances, albeit I may be biased as its one of my favorite movies.

Zooming out a bit, I'll note that content involving Russian political intrigue tends to land well with me to begin with. Although I'm not Russian specifically, I'm predominantly Slavic culturally. i've never actually seen it before but also nope, not for me in any capacity whatsoever. i can buy it as a representation of the starheart maybe taking a form similar to alan's because that's the only body it's ever known or something like that but nah, i don't go for eldritch horror and also i like alan as a person more than anything else. like to me, a major part of alan's appeal is that he's the sole hero to consider his civilian life/job more important than being a hero -- to see him completely consumed by the starheart is as bad end as it gets to me.

it's really good art though, thanks for showing me!!!
