my bag 🌿⛓️🌻⚙️ more details in the image ID and more pics below

I found a small plain black leather backpack at the thrift store for $6 and made it my own :) I used silver sharpie for the swirls and made the buttons all myself with the exception of the metal ones
[Image ID: a small black leather backpack covered in patches, buttons, safety pins, studs and silver and metalic green spirals in the spaces with no patches. There are four patches on the front, an orange patch with a white trans rights symbol sewn on with white thread, and a circular green patch with a simplistic sun and moon drawin on it in black (a mirrormask patch) sewn on with black thread. And on the front pocket on the bottom, theres a dark green band patch with white lettering that says "she past away" sewn on with white thread and a black patch next to it with a red anarchy symbol sewn on the bag with red thread. There are silver spike studs lining the edges of the bag along the zipper and on the front pocket as well as soda tabs sewn onto the front pocket flap with off-white thread. And on both sides of the pocket there are safety pins decorating the empty space next to it. There are four pins on the side of the bag, a light green and white spiral pin, a light green and white "eat the rich" pin, and a metal fairy pin on the top half, and theres a metal frog with an umbrella pin on the front pocket in-between the two patches. Theres also a small orange carabiner on the pocket zipper.
On the left side of the bag, there is a patch on the bottom where a side pocket would normally be. An off-white band patch that says "bauhaus" in black lettering and it's sewn on with black thread, and there are silver spirals around it filling the space. There are some areas I left blank to make the swirls/spirals look like they're hanging down or growing up the bag like vines. There's a horizontal seam above all this that makes the area look like a pocket, and above this seam there's a metal pin with a sun, moon and stars on it.
The right side of the bag, there's no patch where a pocket should be, I instead filled this space with some spirals and more handmade bottle cap buttons. Two buttons, a larger type o negative band button that's black with white thorny vines, and a smaller red band button that says "doom scroll" on it in off-white lettering. Above the seam on this side I drew a bunch of silver spirals that look like they are growing out from behind the seam.
All thread mentioned in this post is embroidery thread, and some groups of spirals drawn on the bag are metallic green. End ID]
Here's the top of the bag as well as the straps that hang down

[Image ID: the bag has a rounded arch shape, and across the top of the leather I drew a cluster of green spirals in between the silver spirals I drew on the sides. There are some blank spots to avoid making the bag look busier than it already is. The loop at the top for hanging the bag is embroidered with a green leafy vine pattern. The same pattern is embroidered on the right strap that hangs down from the bottom of the bag, and on the right one, a gray barbed wire pattern is embroidered. I plan on sewing some more soda tabs onto the top of the bag at some point for the sake of adding more shiny things and also fill up some of that space I mentioned because while I don't want the bag to be too busy, I think the blank space i left on the top is a little too much blank space. End ID]

Found a set of G4 MLP socks, and decided to but then to use them for crafts.
Obviously, I had to make Discord a sweater from the Fluttershy one. Seeing as Discord canonically knits, I could see him making something like this for himself.

A friend of mine made a custom hat for Lutz, out of an old felt bowler. The leather strip is an old belt that they attached to give it some more height:

It's essentially a tiny cylinder now. The details in the leather are burned, not tooled. Which is only exciting to me because I exclusively know how to tool leather.
It's not exactly as pirate-y as I'd expected, but since this crew has a thing for wearing ridiculous cylinders, this is just as fitting.
I'll dull out the blue seam with some leftover fabric dye, and then comes the fun part: while players who portray aristocratic, upper class characters usually have very fancy but plain hats, the lowbrow street rat style characters usually have shitty, scrappy but intricately decorated hats. In short, you just stick every trinket you can find to your hat and call it a day. Like these guys:

You just sew everything you want to your hat. Coins, playing cards, your own "wanted:" posters like these guys up there, buttons, whatever. I've just been sewing that stuff onto my woolen coat so far
#one aspect i love about this hobby:#everyone just makes things for each other#i made this guy a custom patch. and carved a leather seahorse for him. and he just full on made me a hat#larp#lutz

I finally finished putting patches on my pencil case/art bag! Some I made myself, some I purchased, and some had been sitting in my mom's sewing kit for 20+ years so I just took them. 😂

[ID: A brown canvas purse with embroidered patches all over it. Individual patch descriptions in the next image. End ID.]
The front. I have a lot of Critical Role stuff on this bag, as it's my current hyperfixation.

[ID: Top - The top flap of the front pocket. Has a blue embroidered patch of the Bell's Hells logo from Critical Role on the left, and enamel chibi pins of two of the Bell's Hells characters, Ashton and Orym, on the right.
Bottom - The bottom flap of the front pocket. There is a triangular, blue and white Girl Guides patch; a round, green patch with a person considering 3 roads before them; a homemade patch of a blue, cartoon dragon head: a honeybee patch; a red and black patch that says "Just Don’t"; a rectangular, black patch with a yellow border and a blue violin; and a black and white patch of the Critical Role logo. End ID. ]
Close-ups of the front patches and pins. I'm pretty sure the green one and the violin patch are badges from my Girl Guide days. The triangle patch is from the Guiding troop I was in in my hometown, but I've blanked out the town name for privacy reasons. The dragon patch I made myself.

[ID: The back of the purse, featuring more embroidered patches. There is a rectangular Asexual Pride flag patch; a watermelon slice patch; a black and white, oval-shaped patch from the TV show Supernatural that says "Protected by Castiel"; a rainbow with clouds patch; and a black and red patch that features the Anarchy symbol of an A inside a circle. End ID.]
The Ace Pride patch and the Anarchy patch are handmade. I've had the Castiel patch sitting around for a while, and just had to figure out what to put it on.

[ID: A side panel of the purse. On top there is a patch shaped like a mushroom that has a red cap and white spots. On the bottom is a colourful Ashari symbol from Critical Role that resembles 2 stacked hourglasses with a diamond in the center. End ID.]
These two are both handmade. The mushroom was the first patch I ever made myself. The second is the symbol of the Ashari, a druidic culture from the world of Exandria in Critical Role.

[ID: the other side panel of the purse. On top is a rectangular patch featuring a white Trillium flower and "Ontario" printed in yellow letters. Underneath is a round patch with the Antifascism symbol of a black flag and a red flag waving together on a white background. End ID.]
The top one is a patch I found in my mom's sewing kit. I decided to use it because I'm from Ontario, and the trillium (the provincial flower) is pretty. The other one is an Antifa patch that I made myself.

[ID: Photos of each side of the purse's shoulder strap. A series of colourful pin-back buttons runs the length of each side. End ID.]
I also have a bunch of buttons pinned to the strap. Most of them are fandom buttons for Pokémon, Doctor Who, Supernatural, and Undertale. Some have funny sayings printed on them. A couple are for different causes, like environmental protection, and free university education.
I'm pretty pleased with how it came out! There's a little bit of space under the front flap that I could potentially put a couple more patches or pins on, but I'm happy to take a break from this one for now. It was actually pretty challenging to get them all sewn on. 😅

I found a mossy green pair of pants at the thrift store that I fell in love with. It's got detachable legs so you can wear them as shorts, like six huge pockets, one of those plastic locking belt buckles built into the pants, a perfect fit and lots of space for customization

They're more green irl, idk why the camera is graying out the green (especially in the middle) but it's fine
Turns out these are boy scout uniform pants. Didn't even realize it until I got home. So I think the perfect thing to do with these is to turn them into faggoty anarchist solaprunk patch pants :) this will be a long term project but it's one I'm excited to add to my growing pile of ongoing projects to start!!I'll post updates maybe eventually
I never really found a good pair of pants to turn into sturdy patch pants until I found these for like 10 bucks, and it's funny that the one pair of pants that clicked for me was a part of a uniform for a fucked up and evil conservative religious organization. Gonna fuck them up freak style :)
[Image ID: seven images of a green pair of tactical boy scout uniform pants. They have zippers on the legs slightly above the knee so you can convert them into shorts. They have six big pockets, two on each side and two in the back, and all of them minus the main side pockets have flaps that fold over the top of them. Theres a built in black belt with a black plastic side release clasp as the buckle, and under it, a zipper and button just like regular pants. The first two images are of the front and back of the whole garment, the third image is a close up of the belt, the fourth and fifth images are of the front and back of the pants with the legs detached, the sixth image is a close up of the zippers on the legs, and the last image is a close up of the back pockets. The camera on my phone desaturates the color of the pants, and there's a faint gradient on all the images where it looks more gray in the middle of the garment and it faded to green a little bit towards the outer edges. In real life, the pants are a solid mossy green shade that you'd find on tactical clothes or in camouflage patterns. End ID]

adding a couple patches to my wheelchair harness because it's fun and whimsical and im gonna keep sewing til my fingers fall off
my chair has so much fun stuff on it. printed stretchy office chair covers are a quick find online, so my wheelchair has a mushroom-print seat back sometimes.
wheelchair poncho that's reversible & can just be draped over the chair when not in use = another custom wheelchair cover.
car seat headrest pillows are also really handy if u have a headrest, i found one shaped like a frog & am gonna put squeakers in him at some point
not to mention stickers and paint markers, and also practical accessories like stroller straps to hang bags off of and a cupholder.
a year ago i was using a chair i'd had since i was a teenager that was falling apart and now im able to express so much more style, personality, and practicality. and its so fun
basically u never know what im gonna look like on any given day
#i promise you can make mobility aids your own in so many ways#never settle for some boring shit when u can make cool stuff#wheelchair customization#orangecrafting#diy punk#diy craft#patches#autism creature#cripple punk#the orange speaks

The golden dice are mine!
Gods, never again. xDDD
#bg3 playthrough#never again will I submit myself to honor mode#i might play a custom one that is similar in difficulty#but one save only is just too stressful#especially when your efforts let you reach act 3#now I need to put this game down for a bit#(I started Shadowheart origin playthrough just to showcase the dice :P)#on the other hand I truly had fun playing#the ending kinda ran away from me#what was supposed to be the happy ever after with Lae'zel became the ultimate sacrifice ending#i wanted to make Karlach illithid but that option bugged out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#so in the end Gale blew up the brain#Lae'zel left with Orpheus#Madoc would not take risk of living as a mind flayer and took his own life#Karlach died#didn't get to see what happened to any of the other companions#it was a very bittersweet and significantly different ending than my other playthroughs#i have to say I'm satisfied#now let's give this game a rest till patch 8 is good and settled
