it's unbelievable to me that rain world is NOT considered "one of the greats." many "greats" only improved on extant genres. STARDEW VALLEY does not deserve to be considered one of the greats more than rain world. CELESTE does not deserve to be considered one of the greats more than rain world. ELDEN RING does not deserve to be considered one of the greats more than rain world. i don't like, hate these games, they're all good games, but they objectively built on well-established genres and mechanics. if you asked me for games almost identical in gameplay but a little worse than ANY of those games made BEFORE they were made i could give them to you, but i can't name a single game that plays like rain world. it makes me feel like a feral animal that people will praise games like dark souls for the difficulty but they all whined about the difficulty in rain world as if it was a bad thing, as if the plot of the game did not deliberately emphasize this for a deeper appreciation of a mostly non-verbal story. most of the game IS NOT random and has been well-documented and picked apart in the code, but it gave the illusion of being random because the game has an absurd amount of depth put into the mechanics that mirrored the procedural animation used to produce its aesthetic.

You should totally make an askblog for the Cheeseshop AU at some point! Not like, right now of course, since starting another Askblog right now would probably just stress you out and we don't wanna do that cus your mental health always comes first, but it could be a fun little thing you could do in the future after you're done with the main story on Pep's blog, or just at a time where you think you could do it without getting stressed.
In the meantime though, I'm just gonna go ahead and- "Hugs Cheeseshop Peppino cus he's freaking adorable"
Oh, trust me, I have considered it, and been very tempted to do so!!!
I just have not bc I am still working on a story for it, and I would feel even more guilt for not working on Pep's blog (even tho I shouldn't bc askblogs should be fun and not an obligation, but the mind is weird), and irl things etc
Also, I do not have an end story for Pep's blog right now, so that could potentially go on indefinitely if I wanted, and I am always sorta stressed, so there would probably never be a 'good' time to make another blog
Still, it is something I would like to do, but probably not right at this moment - although, do not be surprised if my impulse takes over and there is a new blog by the end of the day lkfdldgfjl;k (silly)
I suppose in the meantime, folks can ask questions to them/about them here - but that might also just tempt me more, so idk

Having a great time with Stray Gods, but I've gotta say, I really think my queer mythology romances ought to come with a big optional side of polyamory. Hades has spoiled me.

Tumblr kisses the dwarf. “How’s that for morale?”
The dwarfs cheeks and nose redden.
“You let the resistance know if they need anything, and I mean anything they can count on me and my farm.” Tumblr winks.
The dwarf too stunned to speak stumbles backwards to the gate, gathering themself on the way. “Have a fine day, citizen,” they say bashfully, “Name’s Hendral by the way.”
“Nice to meet you Hendral, stop by anytime.”
Tumblr spends the rest of the morning tending to their vegetation. Cultivation is hard work. They head into town with their remaining libra to seek out some produce. They pick out some hearty looking bread and some smoked roast beef, which they promptly hurry home with before returning to town to visit the tavern with the excitement of the last two days, they needed to unwind and familiarize themself.

Not plastic oasis But!!! Thinking about my Runner/7th Lamb au
Basically its like if Enoch took over everything and fucked it all up
And then Isaac, a Batter clone gets stolen by the Queen’s entourage/Add-Ons to go hit a variety of switches in Enochs domain to free her and then eventually shut off the world, if they so choose
There are a lot of Batter clones, and he has to fight them
At some point he has to drag the initial Batter out of stasis

i hate that you always have to act defensive whenever you have to explain the personal reasons for not doing something the anons here suggest you...
if you hate that i'm "act[ing] defensive" you're misreading me and it's not my problem. always assume stubbornness instead of defensiveness because i'm an aries and that is what it is 95% of the time. if you hate that i "always have to act defensive whenever [...]", implying both a recurrence in being suggested and in being defensive, you're misreading something like 4 or 5 different people (i am very rarely suggested stuff, i am even more rarely anything that can be read as defensive about the suggestion, and the anon who brought up funger to my blog earlier this month didn't suggest anything, they had assumed i either played the game already or had plans to play it) and it's not my problem.
and if you hate that i have to explain personal reasons*/believe i shouldn't have to it's not your problem and as i don't care about it don't you worry about it and rest your cutiepie head back on your pillow as well as disregard both options above.
also and potentially unrelated to you the more anyone gives me grief about either not playing it Or talking about not playing it when people keep bringing it up it the more i will start to dislike what i still like of it [namely the character designs + lore + magic system]. everybody out of my inbox with this‼️ but if you see me reblogging d'arce or enki art mind your business
*a relatively shallow preference that most people not into horror and many who are have, that says very little about me and as such does not feel particularly intimate to reveal

The labyrinth streaches infront of you.
You are lost.
Which way do you choose?
Go into the light.
To the weird squeaking from the right.
Is someone there at the left corridor?
…are those whispers?
Venture into the dark.
Stay.
Warning.
Entering the labyrinth can be too fearsome for some people. If you cannot stand dark or tight places please do not go forth. No sounds, mild jumpscares ahead.

i feel like if pokemon continues the legends series, they're probably gonna make the games different types of rpg games. so here's my idea for a legends games
pokemon legends: kyurem. it takes place during the unovan civil war and it's a choose your own adventure game.
a pair of twins is sent back in time as the space-time rifts first found in hisui have been spreading to the other regions and causing divergences in the flow of time. now the twins have to choose between joining the army of truth, army of ideals, or to go to a supposed ghost town where strange things are happening.
no matter what twin you choose, the other is still a main character of the story. unlike in legends arceus where the mc is practically a hero in history, you and your twin have to keep a low profile since it's a pretty big part of unovan history you've been sent back to.
i don't know all of the ancestors i want to have in each path you choose but here are some.
army of truth:
one of the two royal twins
bianca's ancestor, the professor
army of ideals:
one of the two royal twins
cheren's ancestor, the professor
nimbasa town, the ghost town:
elizabeth/eliza - elesa's ancestor, head rancher
emit - amnesiac station master, does supply runs
bella - fennel's ancestor, the professor
rosemary - n's ancestor, leads security and is a move tutor
griffith - ghetsis' ancestor, mayor of nimbasa
"daniel" - drayden's ancestor, wandering salesman
the protags look like the b2w2 protags and for a good reason. i won't say the reason.
i don't really have a lot of ideas. the armies are more for not using pokemon at all or only using them as tools. the people in nimbasa town have a much more partner like relationship with pokemon. that's all i have.

You shoot them an email inquiring about payment. They send back that they will help with travel costs, yes, but they don't have much more to offer than that though, and they tack on that the problems caused by the thread unravelling are getting worse. Aside from taking your time and energy, as well as possibly putting any job/school/or other obligations at risk, this journey will not come at a cost to you. If you do not go, you place the responsibility of fixing the thread completely on this stranger, even if you choose to help across the internet. Do you go?
And, since we're breaking protocol here, would you like a follow up so you can know the consequences of your answer?
Tentative Answer: Yes
and since we’re breaking protocol, there are stipulations.
I’m not going alone. If they can pay for my travel I have friends who can pay for their own. In particular I’m taking the 6’0 adult man with military training. (You aren’t about to catch 120 pound me traveling alone anywhere).
I’m not heading to their house/field right away. They can meet me in a densely populated area with CLEAR photos of this thing.
I won’t go more than a set few weeks. Depending on prior obligation status, and depending on how long my string took to fix, I will stay between two and four weeks.
Provided my string took about a week I would plan to stay maybe two.
As an academically gifted person with a unique range of talents I have the privilege of security in my obligations.
Besides that if there were to be “lose job/obligations/schooling” I am blessed with a family that would 100% have me come live with them.
Since we’re turning this into choose your own adventure:
Why did I email them in the first place? What made me think it was worth inquiring? Where exactly am I going? What is detailed in the email?
And why did they email me? Do they know about my rope? Do they know I succeeded in fixing my own? Do others?
And yes, I would like to know the result of consequences!
