Yes I can! And I did! I dug deeper today. I pushed harder. I wanted to see what I could do. I found that not only did I do more, I believe I can do more. I'm standing in my power! Most wouldn't believe that this feeling could happen with a workout program, much less a home based one. But the tracking system I'm using along with my trainer's words, help me see that I am being my best self for me. Not for anyone else. Me. It's hard. It takes a lot, including time and commitment. And if I value myself as much as I say I do, then it's worth it. My big guy, Orion, wanted to take some pics with me after my workout. So we had some fun and the cat even helped out. Day 54 of 90. I was scheduled to run last night but I have not been recovering as quickly in the last couple weeks. So I decided to listen to my body and it was a great decision. My head was everywhere today. I felt out of sorts and kept wondering what was going on. Also felt like the last thing I wanted to do was workout. So I did. And I was glad I did. See, for those 20 minutes I didn't have to wonder or worry about what was going on. I didn't have to think about this morning, or this afternoon. All I had to do was focus on what was happening in the moment. I let go of what may be and stayed in what is. It's moments like this that I am grateful to have discovered the benefits of exercise beyond the scale. Increased energy, stress relief, better sleep. And most of all, taking time for myself. I did it! I completed the first 2 weeks of my program! To celebrate my graduation I placed my #COMMIT sticker on my step. I earned that sticker. It was hard. I didn't always beat my numbers. After a gentle head butt from my cat, I got up to make sure I got my 20 minute workout done. Today was Cut, as in gaining definition. Now I don't know how much definition I got, but I beat my scores from last week. And I got to work out with my team AND the creator of the program in my virtual gym. This is Day 24 aka Week 4 of Chapter 2: Climb. It's also Wednesday. Today's affirmation is "You've got to dig deeper to go higher. When I looked at my numbers today, I realized that's what I did. I put last week's numbers in my head like a sign post. Something to move towards. Then as I reached it, I glanced at the clock, saw that I had more time and dug deeper. I did not slow down or let my form go. That's what the affirmation means. Just because your goal is within reach does not mean you let up. So that's one of the things I hope you'll consider today.
