Thank you to everyone who signed up for the Grisha Rarepair Exchange!

The event has closed sign ups with 30 participants and over 90 rarepair prompts! What a time for diverse shipping! Thank you to everyone who shared our announcement post and helped spread the word. You've surpassed our initial expectations of the exchange!

What comes next?

Exchange prompts will be shared to participants on May 11th. Until then, let us report on some fun statistics:

1. A Fleet to make Sturmhond Jealous: We received a total of 46 unique pair and poly ships.

Saints, that's a lot of ships sailing.

2. Long Live the Sun Queen: Alina Starkov wins the rarepair-star award.

Of the 46 unique rarepairs, Alina was named in 16 of them! She's quite the popular gal.

3. The Saint, the Prince, and the Blade: Malkolina soars high as our most requested ship for prompts.

Second place goes to Darkolai, and third to Zoyalina! All by a surprisingly small margin, too. Here's a colorful little chart with the top requested ships. Curious parties may want to take a look for a possible preview:

Honestly? Netflix should pay me for my quality promotion work I do here.

Netflix canceling Shadow and Bone season 3 and not doing a Six of Crows spin-off has got to be one of their dumbest decisions in the past 4 years. It is one of their most popular tv shows and was ranked 1st for weeks after season 1 and 2 dropped around the world. At this point, Netflix is just asking to lose everything because they have continuously canceled the most popular TV shows and try to replace them with really shitty ones.

But, I am so grateful to Leigh Bardugo, all the directors, producers, writers, costume designers, set crew, and literally every single person involved for bringing it all to life and putting their entire beings into making it as perfect as it is.

And of course I will always forever love every single actor for making all my favorite characters walk right off the pages and bring tears to my eyes.

The way shadow and bone prologue ends with these lines:

Posting and sharing will commence on June 11-17. During that week, use the hashtag #grishapairexchange so we may share everyone's works!

Reminders of:

Content Rules

Any type of fanwork is allowed and encouraged, so long as it is tagged appropriately and it correctly fulfills a prompt.

Writing fanworks must be between 500-5,000 words.

Art fanworks must be between 1 and 5 images, short comics allowed.

Edit fanworks like gifsets and image edits must be collected into a single post, with a maximum of 10 gifs/images.

Video fanworks must range between 1:00 and 3:00 minutes in length.

All posts must be tagged appropriately for ships, characters, and warnings.

Participant Rules

All signed participants must fulfill at least 1 of the 3 exchange prompts they receive. 

Completing more than 1 prompt is allowed and encouraged, but it must be part of its own separate fanwork/post.

Keep your assigned person and prompts a secret until posting week! Once the event is rolling out, mention your assigned person in your posts and tag #grishapairexchange.

No character or ship hate will be tolerated. This is an event centering on rare ships, all of which deserve some love!
