"Z-Zero?" A meek voice rings out in the temporary headquarters of the Black Knights.

Lelouch blinks from behind his mask and looks away from some documents to look at the voice that had called him. (Y/N) was there, playing with her hair and with her pink-tinged cheeks, avoiding eye contact with her leader. The boy lets out a small sigh behind his mask, annoyed at being disturbed.

"What happens?" (Y/N) flinches at his words and shifts uncomfortably, the pink turning red on her cheeks.

"W-well, Tamaki told me you wanted to talk to me about the plan..." Lelouch's purple eyes narrow: he had never told Tamaki to call her. Damn Tamaki, he did it to embarrass him, the boy thinks.

The leader is both frustrated by the interruption of his work and annoyed by Tamaki's prank, but he suppresses the urge to get angry to avoid scaring the already intimidated girl in front of him. Actually, not because he doesn't want to scare the girl, but because he doesn't want to scare (Y/N): ever since Lelouch met (Y/N) at school a few months before obtaining the Geass, he's always felt a very strong attraction towards her; then, that attraction turned into love.

Furthermore, when she showed up in front of Zero, saying she wanted to join the Black Knights, his first instinct was to forbid her from participating in the missions due to the fear she would get hurt. However, the boy was then dissuaded from carrying out that behavior by C.C. to avoid anyone noticing his preference for the girl.

So, Lelouch quickly thinks about how to extricate himself from the complicated situation he's in: "(Y/N), I-"

He can't even finish the sentence he was about to say, because a loud sound screeches in their ears, echoing in the room occupied by Zero and (Y/N). The girl is stunned and closes her eyes, preparing for the worst, when they feel the ground shake and pieces of the ceiling begin to collapse. When she doesn't feel any pain, she opens her eyes.

"Z-Zero? A-are you okay? A-are you hurt?" One of Lelouch's arms is against the wall next to (Y/N); the other arm holds her close, caging her body with his and acting as a shield.

"I'm fine." The boy pulls away from the girl, loosening his grip.

After standing a little distance from her, Zero calmly presses a button on the side of his mask with one hand, shocking and astounding (Y/N) when she hears the whirring of gears, causing the back of the mask to retract.

"Z-Zero, what are you-"

"Answer me, (Y/N) -he interrupts her- are a few months enough to fall in love?"

"I-I think anything is possible in love. Why did you ask me this?"

(Y/N) swallows, watching the boy adjust his mask so his mouth is visible.

"Because I'm madly in love with you." The girl doesn't even have time to realize what he said, before Lelouch grabs her face and brings it close to his, and presses his lips to hers.

"Suzaku, I'm scared" (Y/N) whispers.

While she and her brother Schneizel were in a meeting, an attack by the Black Knights was reported, so Suzaku, (Y/N)'s Knight, grabbed her hand and started running to carry her to safety.

After they moved away from the attacked area, the princess felt the pressure collapse on her; she burst into tears, both because of the fear for her life and because of the concern everyone had managed to escape to safety.

The girl feels strong arms around her and then herself being carried against a warm body. Her eyes open: she sees her Knight embracing her.

"I'll protect you, princess." Suzaku says softly in (Y/N)'s ear, holding her tighter to him.

"S-Suzaku..." The princess murmurs in surprise, looking at him shyly and sweetly, heat flooding her cheeks.

Suddenly, loud battle noises ring out and the sounds of explosions, which cause the ground to shake, almost causing the princess to fall, are heard. Suzaku's eyes widen a little, and he immediately turns, almost as if to go back.

"Where are you going?" She cries.

"I must go back to fight with 'Lancelot'. Please, princess, stay here, so you'll be far enough from the combat zone."

"But Suzaku, you have to follow me -she whispers- I'm scared."

"Princess -the boy approaches the girl, with his eyes full of pain- I have to fight again to protect you." (Y/N) knows Suzaku must respect his duties as a Knight.

"But... You can't protect me if you're there." The girl says, trying to convince the boy to stay with her, since she doesn't want him to go because she fears he might die.

"I have to go -Suzaku replies with regret- those from the R&D Division have already called me before: they need 'Lancelot'."

"Wait!" (Y/N) screams as her Knight turns and takes a few steps towards the headquarters Zero attacked, running to hug him from behind and starting to sob.

"Please, please, don't go! I already lost Euphy, don't leave me too!" The princess can't breathe because of the tears and sobs, and she's crying so much she can hardly stand up straight: she's in the middle of hysterics.

So, Suzaku immediately hugs (Y/N), first hesitantly, fearing her panic attack might get worse, then more tightly, after seeing she showed no sign of resistance and, indeed, she seemed to calm down the closer he was to her.

"I'll never leave: I'll always stay next to you and protect you."

Minutes pass, and (Y/N) slowly calms down, cradled in her Knight's arms and soothed by his sweet, relaxing words.

"Hold out your hand." Suzaku says, placing a watch on his princess' outstretched hand, and he continues: "This watch is very important to me: it's the last gift my father gave me. Keep it safe for me -he gently closes her hand- and, when we meet again, you can return it to me. I swear I'll come back to you."

After saying that, the boy starts to turn around, but the girl calls his name, so he turns back again to look at her.

"Princess?"

"I love you, Suzaku! Please, come back." After saying those words, which shocked him, (Y/N) looks at her Knight softly, and she gently presses her lips to his.

Britannian Military Prison in Japan, evening.

After another day of torture, (Y/N) is in her cell, hurt, sore and crying in pain.

Unfortunately, the Britannian Military had discovered the girl was one of the Black Knights' girlfriend, so it had captured her and has continued to torture her to have information about them. However, it was wrong: (Y/N) didn't even know her boyfriend Kal was one of the Black Knights.

While the girl was reflecting on her boyfriend, a very loud noise is heard and the ground begins to shake, and her cell's door is thrown open. That scares her a lot, so she tries to hide herself in the most remote corner of her cell. Nevertheless, it isn't a soldier who enters, but a tall man, dressed in black and with a mask on his face: he's one of the Black Knights.

"(Y/N)!" The girl recognizes the man by his voice.

"Ohgi? It's you?"

(Y/N) already knows Ohgi: he had come to Kal's house several times while they were together; her boyfriend said he was a friend of his brother and, after his death, he continued to come to visit him. The girl never would have thought that kind man was one of the Black Knights.

"Yes, it's me. (Y/N), are you ok? Kal was so anxious about you... Come, he's waiting for you outside." Ohgi holds out his hand towards her, but (Y/N) pulls away.

"I don't want!"

"Why?"

"I don't want to see Kal: he lied to me the whole time! I don't want to go back to him! Please come back. I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

The man looks at the girl for a few seconds, torn between whether to leave or try to convince her to follow him. However, before Ohgi can make a decision, sounds of footsteps are heard, and then a head pops out of the door: Kal.

"(Y/N)!" Kal rushes to embrace (Y/N), wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his face in the crook of her neck. Nevertheless, she doesn't feel good in his embrace like all the other times: his lie has hurt her too deeply. In fact, she violently and quickly breaks away from the embrace.

"Stay away from me!" The poor girl screams, quickly pulling away and falling to the ground from the force she broke away with.

"Darling?" The boy tries to move closer to his girlfriend, but she pulls away again, trembling and almost crying from the pressure and worry.

"What happens? Are you ok? What have they done?"

"The soldiers hurt me, but you hurt me more: why did you lie to me? You were taking advantage of me, weren't you? I'm a Britannian, were you pretending to love me just to get information about the Britannians?"

"No!" Kal exclaims.

"I swear to you: I've never taken advantage of you. When I fell in love with you, I wasn't one of the Black Knights yet; after I became one, I didn't want to tell you anything because I didn't want to worry you or put you in danger." He continues more calmly, gently helping the girl to get up.

"You don't necessarily have to continue to be my girlfriend, but at least let me continue to protect you, please. I don't want anything to happen to you again." After saying that, Kal hugs (Y/N) again, taking care not to hurt her, and he brings his face closer to hers, until they touch their foreheads.

"Will you let me protect you?" After she gives her nod, the Black Knight captures his girlfriend's lips with his in a tender kiss, while continuing to hold her tightly, as if protecting her from all harm.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

"Sorry." (Y/N) repeats, as she finishes treating Cornelius' many wounds.

"I already told you not to be." The prince replies.

They both remain silent for a few minutes. (Y/N) is embarrassed to be so close to the person she loves, Cornelius is trying to repress the groans of pain caused by his wounds.

"Are you angry?" The woman breaks the silence, worried her superior was angry with her. In fact, (Y/N) was a new Knightmare Frames pilot, but, during her first mission, an attack against the Japan Liberation Front, a disaster happened: the group led by Prince Cornelius, in which she had been placed, was the victim of a surprise assault, and (Y/N) would have died if it weren't for her commander, who threw himself into the path of a spear to save her, but injuring himself.

"Not with you." The prince answers.

"Why not with me?"

"Why should I be angry with you?"

"I was careless. I almost got myself killed. Because of me you got hurt!" The soldier screams with a broken voice, surprising Cornelius with her outburst.

The man, recovered from the shock of the woman's outburst, smiles almost sweetly, and he gently caresses her head.

"Don't worry. I don't care you cause me trouble or I hurt myself to save your life."

(Y/N) wonders if what Cornelius told her was some kind of confession, while blushing profusely. Nevertheless, despite wanting to ask him the meaning of those words, she can't say anything other than an apology.

"Stop apologizing or I'll get angry."

"Excu-" (Y/N) stops before finishing the sentence.

"I can't help saying that!" Due to her phrase, the prince bursts out laughing, making the soldier blush again.

"I've done it!" The woman exclaimes happily and, after seeing the man's confused look, she continues, but with a bit of shyness: "Since you're always so serious and, forgive me if I say it, even a little sad, I set myself the goal of making you laugh at least once."

After a few seconds of silence, Cornelius murmurs: "You're wonderful, (Y/N), you know?"

"Really? Are you serious?"

Without even realizing it, the soldier steps closer to her superior, taking his right hand in hers.

"I really mean it." The prince whispers, tucking a strand of her hair, which had escaped from her bun, behind her ears with the hand that wasn't held by hers.

"I think this is why I fell in love with you." Without giving (Y/N) time to realize his words, Cornelius bows his head and presses his lips softly and delicately to hers.

suzalulu is the perfect example of that one tumblr post about how authors write canon/implied straight ships in anime to be so basic while those same authors write the two male best friends to be so gay and queer coded.

suzaku and lelouch say there's nothing we can't do together and they're so right. they make such a good team. lelouch also relies on suzaku a lot when he needs help and is even willing to beg for his help, which is something he never does with the girls who are canonically/implied to be his love interest(s) (cc, kallen, shirley, etc). there's also the way lelouch acted when he found out the lancelot pilot is suzaku...he was so horrified and shocked since that made them enemies yet lelouch always protected suzaku regardless. hell, lelouch even used his geass on suzaku to make him live. let's not forget about how hurt lelouch was when suzaku betrayed him and turned him in to charles...then how hurt he was at kururugi shrine when lelouch thought suzaku betrayed him a second time. there's also the way suzaku almost immediately knew sayoko wasn't actually lelouch thanks to their gay little signal. oh and let's not forget about lelouch's gay ass death.

you can't tell me lelouch and suzaku aren't gay. like...the evidence is RIGHT THERE.

Code Geass LGBT+ characters

It's June 1! Start the month of pride! And, in commemoration of this, I have prepared a special post! Let's take a brief look at Code Geass characters who have a "different" sexual orientation. The last one may be a surprise for you (doesn't it seem extraordinary that an anime from 2006/2008 has LGBT+ characters in its catalog or is that feeling just mine?). That being said, come with me inside each of these sheets that I have made with great care.

We start with our evil white prince, Schneizel the Britannia. The series has hinted to us that Schneizel is homo. Odysseus commented on how strange he was when he saw Schneizel with Nina in episode 9 of R2 since he had never seen him in the company of a woman. And, before that, Kanon introduced himself as Schneizel's assistant in personal and state affairs and, although Kanon tried to play it down by saying it was a joke, other dialogues and a specific Picture Drama imply otherwise. Hence, I has also put Kanon, which is the other variable in the equation, on this sheet. The light novels take Kanon's eccentricity a step further by casting him as a transvestite. However, the light novels aren’t canon, so they don’t have any kind of validity (and if you want to rescue this data as headcannon it is your business). Therefore, both are likely to be homo.

We continue with a character whose sexual orientation is super obvious. Nina, Lelouch's companion and friend who falls madly in love with the lovely princess Euphemia li Britannia. Another little proof that she is lesbian is in R2's third Picture Drama. When Shirley is making adjustments to Kallen's dress on her while she's half-naked, a blushing Nina is staring at her (ahhhhhhhhh! Didn't you know Larry!).

The other girl is Sophie Wood, she is Shirley's roommate, who, in her own words, said that she isn’t attracted to boys (so it is highly likely that she is homo like Nina).

And I couldn't put it here! But I'm going to give an honorable mention to the girl who wanted to kiss Milly in episode 6 of the first season of Code Geass.

By the way, the lesbian pride flag is purple, the one below is for a subculture within this community that defends the characteristics associated with femininity (it seems to me that these girls embrace their femininity, so I don't think it's wrong to leave them that flag).

We continue with dear Lloyd. Cécile explained to Milly, who was her fiancée at the time, that Lloyd "didn't feel any attraction to the opposite sex" and I don't remember exactly if she added or it was Lloyd himself who said that in general terms he wasn’t interested in people. Words more, words less, Lloyd is asexual.

Now yes. Let's go with the elephant in the room!...

Lelouch!

While Code Geass was on the air, the fandom speculated that Lelouch might be asexual since he was surrounded by female beauties and he paid no attention to them. Still, it seems the fujoshis had hopes that he was gay (or, at least, that he was disinterested enough towards the female sex). However, Lelouch didn’t show interest in boys either and to this I must add the words that Lelouch gives to Rivalz when he offers to take him on his motorcycle in the Audio Drama "The Black King": "I don't like to hug boys from behind" (It's an inherent response from someone with fragile masculinity, but I think it sums up Lelouch's view of the male body.) Then, R2 episode 7 was released and the fandom was thrown into a crisis because it was discovered that Lelouch did indeed have an appetite. What's more, Kallen is the only girl for whom Lelouch genuinely experienced sexual attraction.

Fanboys love to flaunt their ignorance of him "arguing" that Lelouch was depressed and when he bumped into Kallen, he got sexual desire. Nevertheless, these fanboys are speaking out of envy because if they really understood how libido works, they would know that in periods of stress and depression libido (or sexual desire) decreases. Therefore, it doesn't make any sense that Lelouch suddenly manifested sexual desire for that reason. In such a case, for our hero to be hit by his libido at that moment, it's because it already existed.

And, I'm going to tell you something juicier for you to take notes and reflect on, Larry, the libido is a very powerful energy that if it isn’t drained in the conventional way, let's say, it will do so through other ways since it needs to leave the body (quoting an article I read, "sexual energy is not destroyed, it is transformed"). Do you see where I want to go? I mean that Lelouch was channeling all his repressed libido through his rebellion. So, once Lelouch left it (remember that episode 7 of R2 was titled "The Abandoned Mask"), he tried to put that energy to its "usual" use. But Lelouch doesn't go in search of sex, it wasn't his intention, Kallen arrived and he took advantage of the opportunity.

Here we come to the reason for the post. Why demisexual? Or graysexuality? For starters, what is that? Both demisexuality and graysexuality are halfway between asexuality and allelosexuality (that's why both flags have the same colors as the asexuality flag, which is the flag I put on Lloyd). Demis and grays don't usually feel sexual desire towards other people, but they do have libido. The difference between the two is that the demis feel this desire with those people with whom they have forged a strong sentimental bond. To put it another way, it is as if the demis first need to be attracted by the intrinsic qualities of the other person to be attracted by the external appearance later. And what is Kallen from Lelouch? She's his loyal subordinate, yes, but at the same time, she's his friend from the student council.

Demisexuality is such a new thing that I assure you that if you try to investigate on your own to find out more, you will see certain contradictions. Thus, there are those who consider it a sexual orientation in the sense that the person who identifies with it will feel attracted to someone, beyond their gender, as long as an emotional connection has been built (from this point of view, depending on the strength of the emotional bond that has been created, Lelouch could be attracted to Suzaku or Kallen and so on). On the other hand, there are those who evaluate it as an identity that is limited to a certain sexual orientation (from this perspective and sticking to the series, Lelouch would be a straight demi, so regardless of the affective connection he has with Suzaku or Rivalz, he will never be attracted to them because he has a preference for the girls who belong to his inner circle and even so, it doesn’t mean that he desires all his female friends because as I said before, there has to be a special bond). What does this throw at us? That will have to be further investigated. In any case, and this is my opinion, I believe that demisexuality does have an orientation.

And, since sexual orientation generally coincides with romantic orientation, I'm going to assume that this is the case with Lelouch. Besides Kallen, he could feel a romantic attraction to Shirley, who is just another friend of his. For that reason I lean towards Lelouch being demi (straight). Although, again, I don't rule out that he's gray (I haven't even completely ruled out that he's just a repressed heterosexual). That is why I have put the question marks between the flags.

None of this is confirmed or will ever happen because Okouchi, Taniguchi and the Sunrise team don't care about Lelouch's sexual orientation and I bet his sexual education isn't very vast either. But that's how the Lelouch is made. If you don't like it, blame Sunrise and their marketing strategy.

Can you imagine that Code Geass would have been released in this age of awareness of various sexual orientations and, on top of that, it was a western series? It would give a lot to talk about if there were a demi/grey protagonist, which are two little-known manifestations of sexuality. And don't twist my words, Larry, I didn't say that the show would focus solely on that. I'm suggesting that maybe the media would publicize it that way. You don't have to act melodramatic either, Larry! I’m posing a hypothetical scenario. No fictional character comes to mind that fits more demi/greysexuality than Lelouch. I find it interesting.

Anyway, this will remain as headcannon and I'm going to leave it here. I already feel like a teacher and I don't want to xD I hope you have found this publication to your liking or interest. We are reading each other.

Fictional Twins From Different Franchises...

I didn't think I'd bump into another set until I started reblogging Digimon stuff here. Everyone knows Kallen Kozuki from Code Geass and Akiza Inziki from Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds look basically the same since people confuse em all the time. But despite playing FGO for as long as I have and seeing fanart of her all the time I somehow never put together that Ritsuka Fujimaru/Gudako (whatever you prefer to call her) from Fate/Grand Order and Ami Aiba from Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth are another pair of twins from different series.

Obviously there are differences (the clothes mostly) but it's still funny to me that in the same year of 2015, only 6 months apart, Type-Moon and Bandai Namco would release portable games (on different consoles) featuring a Male or Female protagonist you can choose from where the Female option has red/reddish hair in a side ponytail, and both control powerful beings that could easily kill them if said beings wanted to.

No idea how I didn't notice this until today but whatever better late than never.

The fact that people are getting mad at Male Trailblazer x HSR Seele/Bronya shippers because apparently Seele and Bronya were lesbians in fricking Honkai Impact 3rd is just so funny

But I guess some people are so braindead that they need to be spoon fed the obvious fact that is how HSR Bronya and Seele are not the same people as Honkai 3rd Bronya and Seele. Everyone is okay with them having different character designs, personalities, and backgrounds compared to their Honkai 3rd counterparts, but the idea of them possibly having a different sexual orientation other than lesbian, like, say, bi or pan, gets everyone's panties in a twist

This cold, stone hard fact may be too much for some of y'all, but Hoyoverse's biggest goal at the end of the day is profit. Check Da Wei's speech back at 2011. Does this speech makes it look like Honkai was created as a safe space for lesbians to see themselves in fictional characters? NO! Honkai was created to meet the need of otakus. It's meant to be a heaven for anime fans who are starved for female affection but won't go outside to actually form relationships with real women. Why do you think Wei called the characters virtual idols that hold a relationship with the player? Why do you think touch interaction was even added in the first place? Why do you think Yae Sakura forgets about Kallen and simps for the player at affection level 4? They know their audience, it's horny weebs and they wanna appeal to them. While Hoyoverse may support lesbians (and tbh I think they do), you have to realize that at the end of the day, money rules everything. This is why whenever someone says some delusional bs like "Honkai is not a safe space for cishet men!", I just laugh. What do you think the majority demographic of Honkai is? Who do you think the game was made for in the first place?

So in conclusion, getting mad at HSR Seele/Bronya x Male Trailblazer character is literally the dumbest thing anyone can do. Hoyoverse isn't going to be mad at straight male players for shipping themselves with Bronya/Seele (or any of the so-called canon lesbians for that matter) or drawing fanarts of the ship, if anything, they would applaud it because that's exactly what they want. Shipping yourself with a character means you're in love with said character, and being in love with said character increases the chance of you willing to spend on them. That's Hoyoverse end goal

Also I find it so funny how so many people who say this also say things like "respect bisexuals or die", yet they can't stomach the idea of HSR Seele and Bronya being bisexual or pansexual. This is a problem with a lot of fandoms and not just the Honkai fandom, but notice how you can take a character that has only shown opposite-sex attraction and ship them with someone who is of the same sex, and literally no one would bat an eyelash, but if you take a character that has only been interested in people of the same sex and ship them with someone who is of the opposite sex, even your grandma's dog will be getting death threats. Shipping a female character who has only displayed interest towards other women with a male character is considered "lesbophobic", but shipping a character who has never shown attraction towards anyone ISN'T considered "AroAce-phobic" for whatever reason. Hmm I sure wonder why. Surely it can't be because of blatant hypocrisy, right?

Snippet Just Because

So, everyone, I'm currently in the process of revising chapter two of my Voltron x Code Geass story, and I just finished writing a pretty intense and very different scene involving Coran's introduction. I figured I'd post it here to get a little feedback and keep you updated on my progress. Sorry it's a little slow-moving, my job was super busy since I was filling in for an employee on vacation, but I managed to find time to edit a little tonight. Without further ado, here it is:

"Ah! Enemy combatants!" the man shouted before leaping out of the pod sending a flying kick at Rai, who was standing right next to the pod.

No one expected what happened in the next instant.

Rai’s eyes widened before sharpening dangerously. In a swift motion, he grabbed the alien man by the ankle, while he was still airborne, before flipping him over his shoulder. The man gasped as the air was knocked out of him. Then Rai was suddenly on him, his hands reaching for the male alien’s throat. It was only through the combined efforts of Suzaku and Kallen pulling him away that kept the platinum blond from strangling the mustached alien. 

“Whoa! Rai, what’s gotten into you?!” Kallen shouted, her arm wrapped around his neck in a chokehold of her own. 

“Rai, snap out of it!” Suzaku shouted, grabbing a hold of the other boy’s wrists. “We’re your friends, you’re with us!”

“Coran!” Allura gasped in fright, rushing over to the older alien who was just regaining his breathing properly.

“I’m—” he coughed hoarsely, slowly standing, “I’m all right, Princess. If it weren’t the…” he aggressively cleared his throat, “...weren’t for the old sleep chamber knees, I would have handled myself just fine!”

Rai seemed to finally get a hold of himself after a moment, calming down enough for Kallen to release her chokehold and Suzaku to let go of his wrists. He blinked and looked around wildly as the two cautiously stepped back, ready to jump on him again if he decided to try and kill someone else.

“Wha… what happened?”

“What happened is that you just tried to kill someone!!” Kallen snapped.

“I… I did?” his face morphing in horror.

“Yes you did!” Allura snapped, putting herself between Coran and Rai. “Who are you? An assassin sent by the Galra?”

“Allura! Princess!” Coran spoke urgently, hands making a calming motion, “I’m all right. I-I sure there’s an explanation. I was the one that startles him after all.”

“I… I’m so sorry, I thought…” Rai nearly sobbed, looking at his trembling hands.

“Rai…” Milly said softly, “It’s okay. You… we’re not in danger. Calm down.”

Lelouch recognized the tone in Milly’s voice. It was the same one she used for the first few months after he and Nunnally were rescued by her family in Japan. He had had night terrors almost every night after the attack, and for the first time he was thankful for Nunnally’s blindness, so she didn’t have to see the horrific aftermath of war with her own eyes.

Rai nodded slowly, taking several deep breath, “Right… you’re right. I’m okay.”

Red Tracks, A Collection of Kallen Kozuki novels // Not Canon

As usual I'm warning between canon and not canon material; Novels are more like interpretations from novelists as they don't come from the writing staff, and often contradict canon facts, but they can be always nice for headcanon.

Red Tracks Chapter 1: Shinjuku (Part 1)

Let me tell you an obvious truth.

Clovis is a real Royal Dandy. He actually wears make-up.

Near the beginning of the novel, Kallen runs into Rivalz and Lelouch on her way back home from school. She has some vague recollection of Rivalz (but has no clear idea who he is), but apparently does not remember / know Lelouch at all. Lelouch does not seem to know her either -- as Rivalz vocally expresses his disbelief over this, Kallen catches Lelouch's name, and wonders where she's heard it before…

Stage 1 ~ 2 takes up about a third of this novel; how Ougi & co. managed to steal the "gas capsule" is described in great detail. Apparently they could only steal one (the others are shown in the show in Stages 3 and 11) before Tamaki screwed up (also mentioned in Stage 1).

Nagata's backstory is explained in considerable detail in this novel; he is actually 1/4th Britannian, and became a potter solely to woo his wife. His wife and daughter died 7 years ago in the Britannian invasion. Nagata's final monologue is very, very sad.

Inoue remains a mystery throughout -- nobody knows her real age, and not even Ougi knows whether "Inoue" is actually her real name. Ougi suspects it isn't.

Ougi agreed to let Kallen join the resistance, but only as a part-timer: their agreement required her to go to school whenever she isn't needed. Kallen does not like going to school, however, but not because she hates Britannians; she doesn't want to go because she likes them -- is afraid of liking them -- and whenever she's there she feels like a "wolf among sheep".

Naoto is described as being as charismatic and possibly as intelligent as Lelouch. After his disappearance, Naoto's group was slowly falling apart; Inoue tells Ougi, frankly, that he does not have what it takes to hold them together. Ougi does not take offense because he knows it himself.

Kallen's reasons for deciding to show up at school sometimes include: "Wait… which class am I in, again?"

Kallen is voted by the Ashford male student body as the No.1 "Lady (*Ojou-sama) I Want To Protect".

Kallen is misled into participating in an All-the-Gyoza-You-Can-Eat outing with the female Student Council members; Kallen joined in believing it was an All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Fest -- Lelouch got the "All-You-Can-Eat" coupon as a gift from Pizza Hut. Nunnally likes Gyoza; Lelouch, according to her, doesn't. Shirley and Milly are supposedly big eaters.

Kallen had to move from town to town when she was little, unable to fit in with either the Britannians or the Japanese. Kallen was able to hold her own against the teasing and light bullying from other children, but her mother was discriminated against for the most part. Kallen's complicated feelings for her mother appears to have started from the day when Kallen asked "Am I a burden to you?"; Kallen-mama only gave her a squeezing hug in reply. Kallen wanted her mother to deny it, and the fact that she didn't made Kallen wonder whether there was actually some truth in it.

The insulting graffiti on Kallen-mama's room is revealed to be the handiwork of the other maids, all of whom are pure Britannians. The stepladder accident in Stage 9 is also revealed to have been a dirty trick, though who the culprit is (Kallen's stepmom or one of the other maids) isn't made clear. Kallen, for all her outward hatred and disgust with her mother, tries to secretly help her sometimes -- once, during winter, she slipped a shabby (so as not to attract too much attention) coat into her mother's room. However, her mother never wore it, and Kallen, frustrated, confronts her about it, only to be told in her mother's infuriatingly silly, vacant way: "There was a hole in it." In truth, the coat had been cut to pieces (probably by one of the maids).

Naoto made Kallen promise to protect her mother; Kallen, who had wanted to fight alongside her brother, did not think it was fair and was fairly bitter about it. Her inner conflicts were later resolved when she remembers in the Refrain chapter that the reason she wanted to destroy Britannia in the first place, the real trigger, was because it turned her "family" into a farce.

The Fateful peach meeting Novel

A big peach rolled close to her feet. She stopped it with her bag jammed with the things she had packed for our moving away. Kozuki Kallen tilted her head, looking at it. A faintly sweet smell drifted to her nose, that it made the ten year old girl want to seize the plump and ripe peach with one hand. Kallen picked up the fruit with both hands.

The sooner she did, an "Ah!" was heard. Turning her head, she saw a young boy of the same age. He had jet black hair. But the color of his eyes were different. He was not Japanese. Though, she was one to talk.

Holding the peach in her hand, she gazed at the boy who had a serious look in his and wondered why he looked somewhat angry. Could it be that he was the owner of the peach? Thinking so, Kallen quietly hands over the peach. The boy stares back and quietly accepts the peach.

The silence ensues until, "Hey!"

"Ouch!"

All of a sudden, another boy strikes the black-haired boy on the back of his head. He appeared to be the same age as the latter. He had curly chestnut-brown hair.

"Why are standing there like a retard? She picked it up for you, so you should properly thank her!"

"Hmph. It's not like I asked her to."

"If you're serious about that, I'll hit you once more!"

"Before you preach to somebody else, you should first reconsider your habit of being violent to others!"

"Alright, I've decided. I'll hit you three times…Ah! The bus is here!

Let's run!"

The boy who was hitting the other on the head started running. The ravenhaired boy, who was carrying a basket with goods, was about to follow but he stopped abruptly. He twisted his head to look at Kallen who was watching them while keeping quiet. At that moment, the boy walked back to Kallen and pushed towards her the same peach that she returned to him.

"Eh?"

"………."

Just like before, the young boy said nothing to her. He was only insistently pushing the peach towards her chest. Without thinking, Kallen took the peach. From the other side of the road, a voice called out.

"What are you doing, Lelouch! Hurry up!"

"I know!"

He answered in a loud voice, running. Kallen did not even have the time to give back the peach as the two boys had already gotten on the bus. The bus left. The two of them should be inside, but Kallen could not make out their figures. She stood there, absentminded.

"Kallen, it's time. What happened? That peach…"

Kallen only then noticed that her brother was standing at her side. He was eyeing the peach suspiciously. Wondering how best to answer him, Kallen said,

"It was given to me."

"By whom?"

"A boy I don't know."

Naoto could not rebuke her and only replied, "Is that so?", while nodding.

"Well, then. It's almost time for the train to come. Let's go. Mom's waiting."

"That's right."

Hugging her bag close to her, Kallen started walking while holding her brother's hand. She looked back once more.

The bus that had already gone was just a small grain of rice in the distance.

It was a day during which the cicadas were crying loudly.

My own Analysis : Those are quite some nice headcanons, especially anything that goes deeper into the Black knights/Résistance, be it the members or how Kallen dealt with them and school and her struggles about it; While they were Lelouch's army, most were never really develloped in the anime.

Kallen's final novel has a very "fate meeting" feeling to it, with her meeting Lelouch as a child, and him being a Tsundere, forcing his peach on her; While it's not canon, we still have the basis of who they were as kids, Lelouch being a kind of brat and Kallen being quite the nice girl. It's a nice read and I hope Kallen's fans will enjoy those.
