🖥️ Malwarecore – internet aesthetic centered around the sketchy corners of the Internet. The most important aspect of this aesthetic is the fact that it's from the perspective of a victim to cybercrime, not the attacker. Some characteristics of this aesthetic are fake download buttons, error messages, fake Microsoft tech scammer support pop ups, piracy websites, adware, fake installers and web pages littered with suspicious ads.

Could you describe the aesthetics of each type of magic, if their is one? Is there a vibe each type makes you think of?
Ooooh, this question is really fun! These might be a bit everywhere, but that's how I tend to operate anyway ~ Animators remind me of Steampunk. Their whole shtick is taking something old, and breathing new life into it. What embodies that more than the industrial way of viewing the future, while also keeping a focus on the Victorian era. Animators are always stuck in the past just a bit, since you have to connect to the object in order to bring it to life. Empaths remind me of Angelcore. Though not all empaths embody the aesthetic of light, airy pastels, what really makes me put this aesthetic with this power type is it's connection to religion and the otherworld. Empaths are manipulators, for good reasons and for selfish ones, and what says that more than how angels tend to interfere with humans and set them on certain paths — oftentimes playing with their emotional ties to force change. Illusionists remind me of Photorealism. A bit self explanatory, but illusionists pride themselves on creating a false visual field that is indistinguishable from reality. They fuss about the details; shape, color, size, lighting, smudges. I chose photorealism and not hyper-realism or just straight realism, because it's something you are forced to look at and dissect, there is thought put into every stroke and choice of paint. Illusionists are the artists of the Medeian world. Naturalists remind me of Naturecore. Another one that's a bit obvious, but it embodies all that comes with being one with life; the beauty and the grisly side of death and rebirth. Naturalists can't force anything to grow or die. Like Animators, they need connection to the living thing in order to manipulate it. Looking at the aesthetic, it simply embodies what is required to become one with your surroundings: quiet and serenity. Physicists remind me of Expressionism. I think this may come as a bit of an odd choice, but hear me out. Physicists have two main elements that call to them and are easiest to manipulate. These elements are also typically tied heavily to emotions and memories, as Physicists oftentimes find their elements early in youth when experiencing something intense. Expressionism is all about the physical manifestation of feelings, so that's why I feel it fits these Medeians perfectly. Telepaths remind me of Malwarecore. This one made me giggle a bit, but it so totally fits. You go along your day, browsing the internet, and suddenly a pop-up ad is on your screen and it's impossible to shoo away. Telepaths knock on your mental barriers, and work desperately to break them down, much like malware would do to your firewall. Once they infiltrate, they comb through and pick and place something that shouldn't be there. Sometimes it goes totally unnoticed, and other times it grows until it destroys your computer entirely.

lets popularize a “malwarecore” type aesthetic but instead of just webcore its actual screenshots from actual malware
