Foul Legacy knows when you're sad. even if you don't tell him, he can almost taste it, the heavy weight on your shoulders. the days where all you want to do is fall over onto your bed and stay there until the sun goes down. you still force yourself to go to work- you have to, or else you can't live- and by the end you're emptier than ever, a hollow pit sitting over your heart and rotting your flesh. you hide it well to everyone else, but Legacy is there the moment you come home, whining softly and running his claws gently over your cheeks in silent question.

all you need to do is shake your head, and he rumbles in understanding.

Legacy kneels to scoop you into his arms, arranging you comfortably on his chest and tucking in the edges of his cloak-like wings around you before settling on the couch, you sprawled out on top of his armored body. he croons so gently, looking up at you and tracing the outline and contours of your face with a single talon. his arms weigh you down as they wrap around your waist, grounding you, calming you. until you sleep he doesn't stop gently massaging your back, and even after he still continues, kneading around your spine and shoulders. tomorrow, he'll let Childe pamper you, bring your favorite foods and go on walks around the city.

for now, Foul Legacy snuggles you close, to keep you safe and sound from your own thoughts.
