CAS Project - Planning

At the begning of our CAS project journey, we have already completed several objectives. Firstyly, as a group we all ensured that every member of our group has signed up for the Runmageddon Event. Secontly, we devided our selfes into different roles. Thus, each of the group members will be able to perform a certain designated action in preparation for the main event. My role in our team is pacemaking and hopefully thorughout few of our trainings I will be able to improve myself in this field and ensure that everyone will be prepared to run such a tough marathon. Nextly, we created a social media acount in which we intend to popularize sport activities, ourselves and the training activities we will have. Lastly, we managed to schedule a few group trainings, however, due to the high workload in the IB we expect that each of will aslo practice in his own time.

he just thinks you’re this fountain of endless knowledge and he is surprised at how quick he realizes he’d like to take you on a date and not just a platonic hang out

it’s a few and far between occasion that you two sleep with one sets of covers

meaning: he’s a fucking blanket hog

full on pulls the covers his way and has an iron-like grip on them. you can’t even smack his deep-in-slumber self awake to give them back

so you’ve settled for bringing a personal set of blankets. one throw blanket you have has rat on it :]

the first time you slept over you forgot your phone charger at home, so he makes sure to keep an extra one just for you

his favorite kind of kisses are when you’re too tired to function and just kind of. press your mouth to his face

your favorite kisses he gives are the ones after he brushes his teeth and you taste his mouthwash

you two definitely are a special couple, but who isn’t?

They say that being lucky is a false idea; you have to make your own luck in life. What we think of as "luck" is actually being in the right place at the right time, and allowing the universe to bestow upon you its gifts. You have to keep looking for opportunities, like the time I was waiting for Grandpa Switch to get out of his cardiology appointment and struck up a conversation with a doctor on his break.

"I've been wondering," I asked in the most innocent just-a-tinkerer voice I could muster, "just how you adjust the timing on one of those pacemakers."

"Oh, we tweak the base timing with this computer, and after that it sort of self-regulates," the doctor replied after being handed a crisp $20.

That's all I needed to know. I let myself into one of the storage rooms and soon availed myself of a laptop. Now, don't lecture me about theft; I live in Canada, and socialized medicine means that these things belong to all of us. If anything, Grandpa Switch deserved a free laptop, mostly because his second thrown rod happened while he was shovelling the snow that the government so cruelly left on his sidewalk. I'm sure the decades of bacon grease and smoking didn't help, but the Feds didn't force those on him.

Here's the thing you have to know about grandpa tuning: you have to pay really close attention to the air-fuel ratios. For instance, as I just mentioned, my grandpa had some trouble with cholesterol. You can't just Seafoam that shit out, so you have to give yourself a little bit of a penalty to maximum airflow.

A few tweaks later and a good-sized pull on the treadmill, and Grandpa was feeling better than he ever had before. Hell, I'm pretty sure he ran a five-minute mile that one time I raced him against another grandpa for pinks. Don't worry, the new one is parked out back, just in case I need to field a full team for the retirees' marathon or something.

Still2gether -  Adding it in case you haven’t seen it yet <3 It’s a sequel to 2gether and it is just so lovely, so wholesome, absolute perfection all around, and i wish I could go back in time and watch it all over again 😭

A Tale of Thousand Stars - Do it. Just do it.  A priviledged boy and a volunteer teacher’s lives collide when he receives a heart transplant and she’s the donor. To fulfill her last wishes, Tian travels to Pha Pun Dao village where he undergoes a life-changing journey (and meets a very stern forest ranger). It is stunning. The best drama I’ve had the honor to watch. There’s a beautiful, beautiful romance involved, but it’s so much more than that. It’s a story of healing, the beauty of what it means to be selfless and giving, and most importantly about valuing one’s life. 1000000000/10

Dark Blue Kiss - Absolute favourite! Petekao are toptier, there are a lot of important conversations surrounding lgbtq issues, and all supporting characters are so amazing and so well rounded. i honestly cannot recommend it enough. DBK is, however, a sequel to Kiss Me Again, but GMMTV graciously added a 3 part cut of all their scenes, which i definitely recommend watching since it explains how they got together. (1 | 2 | 3)

Gaya Sa Pelikula - It’s a Filipino BL masterpiece centered on Karl and Vlad, who become ‘accidental’ roommates and bond over their love for movies. It also includes a ‘fake-dating’ trope. 10000000/10

He’s Coming To Me - P’aof, who directed S2G, DBK & ATOTS, also directed this, so of course it’s amazing. A ghost befriends the only living person who’s able to see and talk to him; together they attempt to solve the mystery surrounding Mes’ death. 10/10. 

Theory of Love (SPECIAL EPISODE) - Love crying? Then this is the show for you! *finger guns*. It’s a drama about unrequited love between two best friends. Both characters are film majors, so there is a lot of film references which is so, so cool. It’s one of my absolute favourites. 

Until We Meet Again - Love crying EXTA HARD??? Well 😞✌... It’s a soulmate/reincarnation plotline. Two star-crossed lovers commited suicide 30 years ago, and years later their reincarnations meet again at University. It is very very very good, but it can be quite hard to watch at times. [ suicide tw ]

Ingredients - Two roommates - one a cook, the other a musician. Cooking is the language of love in this series and it is sooo cute!! The episodes are also very short and easy to get through. It’s just pure fluff and serotonin and amazing food.

I Told Sunset About You - Estranged childhood best friends who reconnect years later. Feelings happen. There’s honestly nothing I can say that will do this show justice. It’s poetic, so fucking stunning!!! The cinematography alone makes it a must-watch.

History 3: Trapped - OMG 😭😭 I recently finished watching a week ago and I want to go back. It centers around a police officer who has been investigating a gang related shooting that happened 4 years ago. In particular, he is after Tang Yi, the sole survivor. This leads them to become entangled in a deadlier game and they need to figure out exactly what happened years ago. 11/10

Where Your Eyes Linger - It’s 8 episodes that are less than 20 minutes each. Which is a tragedy because this show is amazing. It’s about a boy who comes from wealth and who lives with his bodyguard. 

Color Rush -  It’s the Soulmates of it all 👌. Main character sees the world in black and white until he meets his new classmate and through him, he is able to experience a world of colours for the first time. 

Mr. Heart - THE CUTEST!!!! A marathon runner who is strugging to reach his full potential is helped by a pacemaker. He is a little bitch, but slowly warms up to his new friend and feelings develop. This drama should have been 45 minutes long because it’s absolute perfection.

We Best Love - Enemies to Lovers with a little unrequited love sprinkled on top. I highly highly recommend it. It’s so sweet and lighthearted, and the scenes between the two leads are just soft. It’s so good, just so good. And there’s going to be a sequel next month!! So it’s the perfect time to watch it now.

Manner of Death -  A medical examiner investigates the murder of his childhood friend. He is joined by Tan, also a friend of the victim. All signs point to him being the murderer but all is not what it seems. ... this show is... something (affectionately). This was the most fun I’ve had watching a drama in a long time, and there’s just many twists and turns. 10/10

From the same makers of “Where Your Eyes Linger”, “Mister Heart” (Mr. Heart) will be about the love and friendship between a rising marathon star (Jin Won), who is apathetic about everything besides marathons and a pacemaker (Sang Ha) who has a sunny disposition.

Jang Euisoo is set to make an cameo appearance in this web-drama as well!

Show Recommendations Non-Thai BL:

A list of shows I’ve watched or am currently watching (Aka not including things I haven’t started yet) for @zouisalmightie 

China- The Untamed (50 Episodes, Netflix, Viki, WeTv):The series follows the adventures of two soulmate cultivators who travel to solve a series of mysteries that link to a tragic event in the past.  Plot heavy story, Lots of characters, due to Chinese censorship lots of homoerotic symbolism and subtext. The leads of the show sing the OST and it's beautiful, Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan are both members of Idol groups. Korea- Where Your Eyes Linger (9 Episodes, Youtube, VikiPass): The series follows a chaebol and his friend/unofficial bodyguard. This is one of Korea's first forays into BL series. It's short, but has decent pacing and plot.  Mr. Heart (9 Episode, Youtube, VikiPass): The series follows two boys, one that is training/running a marathon, and the other who is his pacemaker (helps him stay in the same pace). It's short, sweet and to the point. I'm really fond of one of the boys because he was on Produce X 101. Philippines- Gameboys (13 Episodes, Youtube): First Bl Drama to come from the Philippines. Follows a live-stream gamer and his fan—who found each other online during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and the Luzon Island community quarantine. This one is a bit cheesy at first but does get better, it is however a little bit sad (TW. a death due the pandemic, not the leads.) A season 2 is in the works. Hello Stranger (8 Episodes, Youtube): Amidst the lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, two college boys cross paths for a school project. Jock/Nerd Trope/Hate to Love. I actually enjoyed this one more than Gameboys, but I'm in the minority I think. The leads have amazing chemistry (or kilig in Tagalog). A movie is in the works. 

In Between (14 Episodes, Youtube): The most important part in a relationship is not the hello or the goodbye but the In Between.  This is about the boys' love (BL) story of Taurus and Otep. Friends to Lovers Trope. While the show is mean’t to be about Taurus/Otep I actually fell in love with the sidestory of Ronin and Makisig more. And I was disappointed that in the end we didn’t get really much of anything for them (unless there’s a planned season 2 that I somehow missed knowing about.) 

My Day (11/14 Episodes, (Airing Currently), Youtube): A romantic comedy series about a young determined culinary intern named Sky making his way into a multi-billion-dollar food company and his boss Ace. Some of this show didn't really hit the mark ie. the writing was very lacking amongst other issues for me but I'm sticking it out because the leads have amazing chemistry and I'm glad I did because it has one of the best intimate scenes that has come from a show this year. (I'm still very much not over it) Quaranthings (7/8 Episodes, (Airing Currently), Youtube): follows the friendship of two boys, and the love that will blossom between them while on community quarantine. Roommates to Lovers Trope. I'm really enjoying this drama even though it makes me want to bang my head on the wall, Judah's character irritates me (also in the minority here). GAYA SA PELIKULA aka Like in the Movies (5/8 Episodes, (Airing Currently), Youtube):  tells us about Karl, a 19-year-old recluse architecture student in the middle of an identity crisis and his new roommate. This just started so I don't have much thoughts about this one so far, but it's been decent.

I have other BL’s I would include but I wasn’t sure if you’ve already seen them (Skam, Yuri on Ice, american BL’s Etc.) I also plan on doing a post about Thai BL’s but there’s to many to include on this post.
