It is estimated that around 50 million copies of The Dark Side Of The Moon have been sold since the time it was released, in March 1973 (at least 1/3 of the British are presumed to own it), making it the third best-selling album of all time. 🌑🎧
Also, the album spent 800 consecutive weeks on the US charts – the equivalent of approximately 15 years among the best-selling in the United States.
On March 1, 2023, the play completes 50 years since its release.

Turning Point
Tumblr media
Captain America #159
Action-packed.
The guys battle some super-villains and the identity of the mastermind behind it all is revealed.
The villains are lame, and so is their crime spree, but the revelation at the very end is a shocker. After reading 1992′s Fear story with the Scarecrow, I reread this comic to see more of him. My mistake. He’s just another one of the group here, doing nothing distinct. No matter. It’s a fun read, and I enjoyed reading it again.
On Sale Date: December 5, 1972.

Vogue Italia March 1973
Apollonia van Ravenstein in a dress by Roberto Capucci, floral print on white Ambrosini chiffon. The plunging shawl neckline is bordered in purple, yellow, fuchsia and white; the same colors return in the brushstrokes which “stand out” between the flowered inserts of the skirt, very rich and puffy, touched by the long sleeves which widen into a fan. At the waist, a high belt tied with a knot. Shoes: Driamar.
Chaussures : Driamar.

The Danger Game
Tumblr media
Werewolf by Night #4
Very enjoyable indeed.
On an abandoned movie lot, one that looks like an old Wild West town, the Werewolf is pursued by a deranged hunter.
It starts mid-story then flashes back, on page 4, to show us how Jack and Lissa got into this latest mess (immediately after their last one!). It’s a little far-fetched but it’s worth it for the story that follows. A hunter looking for new thrills has been tracking Jack for a while, we are told. He takes Lissa hostage so he can hunt... “the most dangerous game!” It sounds pretty hokey but, to be honest, it turns into a gripping read. It helps, of course, that the artwork and colouring are beautiful.
On Sale Date: December 19, 1972.

Kickin off Black History Month with the Godmother of Rock & Roll, Sister Rosetta Tharpe!
Born Rosetta Nubin, she gained popularity in the 1930s and 1940s with her gospel recordings, mixing spiritual lyrics and electric guitar.
With her mother's encouragement, Tharpe began playing guitar at age four and by age six was performing in a traveling evangelical troupe.
Throughout her teenage years she performed regularly and was considered a musical prodigy.
Tharpe used a white Les Paul Custom like this one for her pioneering work in the 1960s. In 1961, Gibson redesigned the Les Paul model with a thinner, lighter body.
She did 50 years of performing and touring finally caught up with Tharpe when, in 1970, she suffered a stroke that put an end to her touring life.
March 20, 1915 - October 9, 1973
