Is smoking marijuana leaves harmful?
Marijuana is a drug.
Tumblr media
Marijuana is a drug that is derived from the cannabis plant. It is typically smoked in cigarettes or pipes, but can also be consumed in other ways, such as being mixed into food or brewed as a tea. Marijuana has a number of effects on the user, including relaxation, heightened senses, and increased appetite. Some people also experience negative effects, such as anxiety and paranoia.
Is the health risk of smoking marijuana leaves harmful?
Some studies suggest that smoking marijuana leaves can be harmful to your health, while others claim that there is no significant risk. It is generally agreed that smoking any kind of substance is bad for your lungs, so it is possible that smoking marijuana leaves could have negative consequences. However, more research is needed to determine the exact health risks associated with this activity.
What if you decide to smoke marijuana?
If you decide to smoke marijuana, you may experience a variety of short-term effects. These can include changes in your mood, altered senses, and impaired physical abilities. You may also have difficulty concentrating and making decisions. These effects can last for several hours.
In the long-term, smoking marijuana can lead to lung problems, memory difficulties, and decreased motivation. It can also impact your ability to learn and remember new information. If you smoke marijuana regularly, you may also experience problems with your mental and emotional health.
Conclusion:
Marijuana leaves and buds are both used to create cannabis products such as oils, edibles, beverages, and more. The leaves, however, are not psychoactive and therefore do not produce a high when consumed. Smoking marijuana leaves does produce a psychoactive effect, and therefore might be harmful to the body.

How Does Cannabis Help With Stress?
BY: Manew
Monday Feb. 5th, 2018
Hey everybody Manew here! Welcome to my new Blog Marijuana Facts with Manew. My goal here is to help spread awareness, created discussion and educate on Medical and Recreational Marijuana. These blogs will range from from uses, and medical benefits, to laws and tax revenue. if its about Marijuana its fair game. In this first blog, I am going to talk about How Cannabis helps with stress. So please sit back, relax and enjoy.
Does Cannabis Reduce Stress and Anxiety?
I think a lot of us now a days know cannabis has many great benefits, and one of the great benefits it has is, that it can help with stress and anxiety. At the same time a lot of us users or past partakers know there have been times where cannabis has felt like it has caused anxiety or made things feel stressful. So is it true then? Can marijuana help with stress?
According to the University of Chicago’s Emma Childs associate professor of psychiatry in the UIC College of Medicine and corresponding author on the study, published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence. Low levels of THC (Its the main psychoactive compound in cannabis) does reduce stress, but in high doses. Also in low doses lessened the jitters of a public speaking task, while slightly higher doses that are enough to produce a mild high actually caused high anxiety. In my own experience I always found taking a small one hitter size dose has always been able to calm me for long periods of time. Also during this time I am not stoned or high, I actually just feel relaxed and ready to go about my day.
Discovering The Right Strain
Funny story, labor day weekend 2017 I was in Temecula California, because I was getting married at a local winery. My awesome friends friend Chicago who flew out there to see me, picked up some sativa strain cannabis flower and we all sparked it up. Later I had to go a few miles down the road to meet up with some awesome family from out of state that just arrived, and while I was driving, I noticed I had very high anxiety from the sativa strain I had smoked earlier in the day. Now I smoked a good bowl or twos worth and felt a good high in the beginning, but then little while later I felt the anxiety.
So I think its important to really do your research and find a couple strains that you feel comfortable with. According to Leafly.com indica and hybrid strains tend to be the preference of choice, when trying to reduce stress and anxiety. Sativa on the other hand tends to tug on anxiety and cause unwanted effects. Then again maybe your one of those ADHD freaks that cant sit still and need to be active, sativa strains maybe a preference in that case. at the end of the day making sure you have the right strain will do a number  for combating stress and anxiety.
Why Use Cannabis and not a Pharmaceutical?
Now that we know cannabis can help with stress and anxiety by understanding the doses you are taking, and choosing the right cannabis strain that works best for you. Why not talk to a doctor about being prescribed on a anxiety/stress reliever? According to leafscience.com  “ A recent Canadian study found that within 90 days of using prescribed medical cannabis for anxiety and pain, 40% of patients were able to stop using benzodiazepines — a commonly prescribed anxiety drug with a number of side effects, including a high potential for abuse. “ Some of these side effects of benzodiazepines are vomiting, constipation, much more serious withdraw, depression, and with abuse overdosing.
Tumblr media
Then according to the CDC website and the chart above, you can clearly see in the red that Opioid pain relievers (which are also used for stress and anxiety) are the leading overdose in America above heroin and cocaine, between the years 1999 to 2013. as you can see Cannabis in green, is at a steady 0 for overdoses in the United States of America. So in my opinion, I would choose Cannabis as an alternative to pharmaceutical grade opioids to help relieve my stress. Moreover, we learned that these pharmaceuticals can have a variety of side effects on people, worse can cause serious addictions and even death. Where as with Cannabis, we know there hasn't been a case of overdoes, managing your dose intake, and picking the right strain for you will help with your stress. We also know there hasn't been a death related to abuse and overdose of cannabis.
So How Does Cannabis Relieve Stress?
Well so when we ingest cannabis, THC ( tetrahydrocannabinol )and CBD ( Cannabidiol ) release into our bodies, and chemically react. A 2014 Study by Vanderbilt University found that cannabis use can increase the a naturally-occurring brain chemical called endocannabinoids, which are reduced when stress and anxiety are high. So to put this very simple, when you are stressed your natural endocannabinoids will start dropping causing stress. Simply using Cannabis will begin to increase your endocannabinoids thus resulting in lower stress.
Summary
In this article we learned that cannabis can help with stress and anxiety. we also learned that not paying attention to certain things with cannabis can cause the complete opposite. To prevent these adverse effects, we know that we if manage our intake that we can reduce stress, and find the right strains that work best for you. An important thing to remember is Cannabis can be a very safe and alternate medicine from harsh pharmacueticals that have adverse and possibly fatal side effects.

Cannabis edibles have gained popularity among both recreational and medicinal users as a discreet, convenient, and enjoyable way to consume cannabis without smoking or vaping. This comprehensive guide offers insights into the various types of cannabis edibles, their effects, and important tips for safe consumption.
Varieties of Edibles: Gummies, Chocolates, Baked Goods, Beverages, and More
Cannabis edibles are available in a diverse range of forms, each providing distinct flavors and experiences:
1. Gummies: Among the most favored options, gummies are simple to dose and come in a variety of flavors and strengths.
2. Chocolates: Cannabis-infused chocolates offer a delectable and luxurious method of cannabis consumption, with dark, milk, and white chocolate options.
3. Baked Goods: Ranging from brownies to cookies, cannabis-infused baked goods are classic choices that deliver a familiar and pleasurable experience.
4. Beverages: Infused drinks like teas, coffees, sodas, and cocktails provide a refreshing way to enjoy cannabis.
5. Savory Snacks: For those seeking less sweetness, savory cannabis snacks such as chips, crackers, and popcorn are available.
6. Tinctures and Oils: While not traditional edibles, tinctures and oils can be incorporated into food or beverages, offering a versatile consumption method.
Each type of edible offers a unique experience, not only in terms of taste but also in how the cannabis interacts with the body.
Dosage and Effects: Contrasting Edibles with Other Consumption Methods
Edibles are metabolized differently than inhaled forms, resulting in distinct effects:
Onset Time: Unlike smoking or vaping, which yield almost immediate effects, edibles can take between 30 minutes to 2 hours to take effect. This delay is due to the digestive process, where the cannabis is metabolized in the liver, converting THC into a more potent compound called 11-hydroxy-THC.
Duration: The effects of edibles may persist for an extended period compared to inhaled cannabis, often lasting between 4 to 8 hours or more, contingent on the dosage and individual metabolism.
Potency and Dosing: Edibles can exhibit higher potency than other cannabis forms due to the way THC is processed. It is essential to commence with a modest dose, typically ranging from 2.5 to 5 mg of THC for novices, and await the effects before consuming more.
Consumption Tips: How to Enjoy Edibles Safely
To ensure a favorable encounter with cannabis edibles, adhere to these guidelines:
1. Initiate with a Low Dose, Progress Gradually: Commence with a small dose and wait at least 2 hours before contemplating additional consumption. This method helps prevent overconsumption, which may result in adverse effects like anxiety or lightheadedness.
2. Exercise Patience: Due to the delayed onset of effects, it is crucial to refrain from consuming more edibles hastily. Allow your body sufficient time to process and react.
3. Understand Your Tolerance: Recognize your tolerance level and adjust your dosage accordingly. Even seasoned users should approach new products cautiously, as potency levels can differ.
4. Maintain Hydration and Nutrition: Having a meal before consuming edibles can help moderate the effects. Always keep water nearby to stay hydrated.
5. Opt for a Comfortable Environment: Particularly for individuals new to edibles, it is recommended to be in a familiar and cozy setting where you can unwind.
Conclusion: Promoting Responsible Consumption and Exploring Various Products
Cannabis edibles present a versatile and pleasurable means to enjoy the advantages of cannabis. Whether you seek relief from medical conditions or simply desire a recreational experience, there is a broad array of products to discover. Always approach edibles with care, acknowledge the potency, and consider your personal limits.
For those intrigued by delving into the realm of cannabis edibles, DMV Cannabis Delivery provides a diverse assortment of premium products to cater to every preference and requirement. Remember, the cornerstone of a positive experience is responsible consumption.
