C'est la découverte de ce matin dernier vendredi de l'année la galerie du blogueur Space Age Sublime Camaleonda Sofa de Mario Bellini Génie du design industriel italien, Mario Bellini a entre autres produit des meubles pour B&B Italia, Cassina, Vitra, Kartell, Driade, Poltrona Frau et des lampes pour Artemide et Flos Born in 1935 in Milan, studied architecture at the Polytechnic 1959, as a student of personalities like Ernesto Nathan Rogers, Gio Ponti and Piero Portaluppi. He was design director for Rinascente and 1963 he opened his design studio in Milan; at the same time he was chief consultant for the Italian company Olivetti. It was for the latter that he signed some of the most innovative projects such as the Program 101, considered one of the first prototypes of the personal computer. He did not neglect interior design either, presenting an entire mobile environment at the 1972 exhibition held in New York "Italian: The New Domestic Landscape". Chiara di Flos prende forma da una costruzione morbida semplicemente arrotolata su se stessa che ne definisce l’identità carismatica e assolutamente evocativa: una lampada a forma di suora che diffonde la luce dal suo cappello bianco. Bellini iniziò il progetto nel 1968 servendosi di semplici modelli di carta. Al principio Chiara si componeva solo di un foglio argentato, tagliato e arrotolato in un cilindro, quasi come fosse un origami. L’idea si è poi tradotta in un’unica lastra di lamiera metallica curvata in modo tale da disegnarne la caratteristica forma. La collezione deve il suo nome alla qualità della luce, riflessa e diffusa dal grande 'cappello'. 100% LED, la fonte luminosa é inserita nella base, colpisce lo schermo superiore che lo riflette e poi si apre nell’ambiente per diffonderlo.
