Console Gijinkas, Part 1!

Mr. Aitwo Console of origin: Nintendo M82 NES Demo Kiosk Mr. Aitwo is based on a carnival game runner. He's a little pushy and loud, but very friendly and very beloved in the places he's travelled over the decades. Aitwo possesses a pacemaker (unseen) and hearing aid, in lieu of the most common failure points on the M82.

Lulu Console of origin: Casio Loopy Lulu is a bright, cheerful young girly-girl type, based on anime protagonists of the 90s and idols. She's a simple girl, who loves stickers, quizzes, dress-up and adventure, but she secretly dreams of bigger and better things. She has a tendency to scream when things don't go her way (in reference to the awful noises the Loopy makes when booting incorrectly).

Markus Console of origin: Apple-Bandai Pippin Atmark An early university-aged software developer. Mark is relaxed, imaginative, and a little asocial. He plans to make RPGs and racing games, but is too scatterbrained to keep focused, and is somewhat broke and very picky about his software. He's asthmatic, a callback to how loudly the Atmark's fans run.

I had so much fun doodling these three! I plan to make more soon. these three. are family to me. do not @ me they are FAMILY.

She wields the power of Cryo and uses a catalyst.

Abandonment issues, especially the fear of being replaced and the fear of your friends secretly hating you…this song was made for him

Ravistettava ennen käyttöä-Apulanta

It’s a Finnish rock song about a guy who thinks there’s something wrong with him and tries to cope with it with reckless and pessimistic behavior so yeah fits him in general

Word Up!-Korn

This just fits her personality since it’s about being unapologetically yourself and not caring about others judging you

(The original version is made by Cameo but I think Korn’s cover of it fits her more)

I Hate My Mom-GRLwood

Pretty self explanatory, mommy issues and and having to face misogyny

To quote the anonymous person who send me their assigned Jojo song,

All though I will add this song would probably specifically fit his life around the time when his mom got send to the hospital since the feeling of being so lost

Perhaps a bit extreme but it fits his character before the series and even during it, especially at the beginning. Like his masking, identity crisis and trying to be like what other people, especially his dad, always wanted him to be

Same theme, however especially his relationship with his dad before the series and at the beginning of it and like the loneliness it’s implied he experienced at that time

Fits his struggles at home through the series and how soccer and his team are his escape from it

This just kinda fits the whole “the politicians suck a lot and his dad is working directly with them” struggle he has to navigate through

This just fits his loser boy (I mean that in the most positive way) personality since it’s about insecurity, feeling isolated and the need to be accepted and loved

Again fits his personality, like his tendency to keep on trying and stay positive even if others don’t appreciate that

Ah yes angst, Marlon probably had to take responsibility pretty early on his life due to his family situation and now he can mourn the things he lost when having to grow up too fast

Carpe Diem-Joker Out

Fits his personality, he is genuinely a kind person who sees good in others so song about rejecting hate and just having fun with those close to you should fit

(Also it’s in Slovenian but I also included a few Finnish songs and a Japanese one so yeah, language barriers be damned)

Some depression from the 60s, feeling all the years that you’ve wasted hit you during a Saturday-Sunday night, it was pretty much made for him

Tahroja paperilla-Eppu Normaali

A Finnish rock song about a guy reminiscing about their past but also acknowledging that moving forward doesn’t make those experiences any less meaningful. I’d say coaching the team has given him happiness and also some closure with his past so yeah it fits that

Honestly the title is pretty self explanatory but not understanding how to bond with your child, criticizing their interests and acting antagonistically towards them is pretty on brand for him

my brutally honest opinion is that fandom kinda ruined it for me 😞 i enjoy very specific iterations of it but after getting into dbh its been the most annoying side of the fandom ive had the displeasure of seeing so far. as a ship itself its pretty cute though i see points made but most fanon interpretation hasnt been my cup of tea

"Has my LED ever woken you?" They were both knee-deep in the electronic equivalent to paperwork, leaning into each other's space but doing their own work on the (replacement) couch in Markus' office. Connor came here sometimes when they were both working late at New Jericho, for the sake of being close to him. He closed out of what he was working on to meet Markus' eye. He'd only just remembered an old worry. The light in question was white-blue now, amused by something. He wasn't sure Markus had even noticed (doubted it would have been something that had even crossed his mind), "I never worried. But I used to sleep on that side, to avoid it."

Markus rested his tablet on his leg, green-blue eyes lightening to a fond and curious warmth. “No.” Truly. Never once had he been woken by the light from it. Even if he had roused in the night, the glow had certainly never kept him from settling back. 

His brow lifted in a genuine ‘Oh?’ at Connor’s remark. “That was very considerate of you.” He said, with more affection and teasing than anything else. 

“It has made me smile.” Markus admitted, reaching to brush his thumb over the curve of Connor’s jaw, “More than once, after coming home, and seeing the light of it in our bedroom. It means you’re there.”
