has Jacob and freyja ever talk in their own (native or not) language and people around him just give them weird stares or looks, and are just trying to figure out what they're saying?

There was only kind of two times in their (shared) lives that this would happen.

The first not so nice one was when their aunt Elena would look after them as small children, when Jacob and Freyja were about 6 and 2 years old respectively. She was a little strict with Freyja, so Jacob would instead give Freyja warnings in Mandarin (as Elena knew both English and Spanish). Things like “spoon, not hands, ok?” or “aunty’s upset, no park today.” Elena would look at Jacob a little funny for this, but would let it go.

The second was Post war, as adults. Knowing more than one language is handy when it comes to talking shit or wanting to talk privately, so they may strategically choose to speak in Spanish or Mandarin at times. But tbh they mostly stick to whispering in English if they don’t want to be overheard/understood.

Does Duncan’s grandmother ever find out that Duncan’s a ghost and came to visit her in 1989?

Honestly I’ve been playing with a few different ways that story could go. Like Duncan figuring out how to communicate with his grandmother through the radio, or using Freyja to write a letter for him to say a proper goodbye.

In the end I don’t think she will find out, not really. Duncan would soon want to tell his grandmother he’s there, and this would be a point of argument between he and Freyja. She doesn’t see how this would help anything, he said he just wanted to see she was okay. And he can see for himself that she is.

Plus, seeing her grandson again as a ghost could have completely the wrong effect - it could bring fresh feelings of grief for a child who is stuck on his earth as a wandering soul, stuck in a place where he has no loved ones.

But what I thought was a kind of compromise was an agreement for Duncan to be the one to give his grandmother the goodbye hug at the end of their time at her place. Freya would agree to let him (discreetly) possess her for that moment so in a way he and his grandmother could sort of say goodbye to each other.

After Freyja reunites with the gang, whats her relationship with them? Do they go back to being friends or does it take more time?

While Freyja and the gang had a very brief “reunion” at the Battle of Hogwarts, it wasn’t the time to be catching up and getting to know each other again. Hell, after the war she continued to actively avoid her friends and family just to delay awkward reunions.

It would be a couple of months before she stopped avoiding her friends, and even longer before she started actively seeking them out. Even then, while catching up, she made sure the conversations never steered to what she had been doing and where she’d been. Not for long, anyway. Besides, she’d never tell them the full story about the circumstances behind her disappearance anyway - only her family would know that.

So while they might become friends again, it takes quite a bit of time for that to happen.

1. Thanks for sticking around even if you don’t play the game anymore! I think aside from the energy system , the slow long progression of the story especially after year 5 is just not worth booting the game up. If I had started the game earlier and played it as chapters got released then honestly I’d probably still be playing it. But I’m happy just drawing 😊. But the thought of someone referring to Chester as a DILF (yes I know I used it as a joke in the sound of music au) in-universe is so hilarious to me and that Francis might’ve initially overheard the term used by one of the teachers at his school 😅

2. Just imagining Chester being called into work at like 5AM like “hey man we’re kinda thin on the ground here at the ministry… kids like you, yeah? Mind coming in and helping us questions a death eaters kid?”

Im recovering from a short bout of COVID, which is why I found time to come back and answer stuff lol! I’ve been trying hard to get back into drawing these last couple of days and even picked up a pencil and sketchbook! I’ve also been reading about colour theory/the colour wheel and it’s going back to basics like that that make me realise how little I really KNOW about drawing and art…. That’s on having no formal training I guess 🫠

the universe really decided to say “fuck you, marmo” and sucked my apple pencil into the abyss, broke my phone, and gave me an old-lady disease complete with a cough that sounds like i’ve been smoking a pack a day since i was 10 😂

Funny thing: if Harry and Hermione ever got married, the location would be a small church and would probably leak out in post last 5 minutes (which a whole total asshole strangers), and the first solution is that they grab on Freyja because she's a time-traveller at some point which lead to the below conversation:

Harry & Hermione *grabbing Freyja's sleeve hems each side: ...we love you, save us.

Freyja *happily noodling away from everyone: ...shit don't work all timeee——

*Time travels to Pride & Prejudice and didn't happened to witness the Darcy & Elizabeth garden scene where two nerds basically keep on declaring their love after 360° round of soap drama > Got adopted by the MVP of all-time regency romance movie, except for Freyja who decided she'd be away from all the lovey-dovey bye > Freyja got into crime scene meeting Sherlock & John, Harry and Hermione travel again to pledge for her > three adults realizing post timeline isn't that accurate at all and probably messed up > Hermione: I'll need to give Romeo & Juliet a read next time if we went home, both Freyja and Harry: ...Count us in too.

——2 year and a half later...

*Triwizard Tournament again

*All troupe back to Hogwarts, everyone's alive only a few bitchy one dead, those who dead once knew they're dead before and no they wouldn't to find out why because they figure timeline is a mess and if they're alive, they're alive and good you honor

*Headmistress McGonagall giving speeches, Beauxbatons dancing, Durmstrang martial arts again, Hogwarts Hoggy Warty Hogwarts

*The troupe basically standing aside to see anything and if not chaos (ahem, Weasleys)

*The feast again and suddenly boom

*Freyja, Hermione and Harry in 1890s version of Hogwarts uniform: Freyja and Hermione perfectly sit on Hagrid's shoulder each side while Harry in his arms. Hagrid was giving a talk on lesson change that time.

*Silence > Freyja proceed to jump off window into the Great Lake > silence > Hermione and Harry jump off as well > *chaos again

*Rowan & Ron: No! Wait! Don't jump! I swear I won't say anything! Come back!

*And they jump

In the end, all students under 13 got sent to dorms and everyone else basically on a real school hunt looking for the trio, meanwhile, the three alr back to london Chinatown right inside a food stall having hot wonton soup and spicy dumplings and fried rice cuz they haven't have real food for a hell 2 weeks cuz they're running from dark wizards. again.
