During an interview, the manor guests suddenly get a question about you.

this is def an experimental format!! i got this idea while reading the character letters. in the POV of an unknown interviewer (not reader). reader uses they/them.

Q. Could you describe your relationship with (Y/N)?

🔗 Ada - "Yes, that's my lover. I would say our relationship falls within the typical scope of that sort of thing. Of course, I believe we share something special, but everyone does when they're in love, don't they?" She covers all her bases in one decisive breath, leaving little room for me to comment.

⚰️ Aesop sits perfectly upright, fingers threaded at his knees. His eyes drift to the side and he seems to begin speaking mid-thought. "I had... cautioned myself not to upset their perception of me," he explains. "But they pried, and stayed, regardless of what they found... For that, I'm grateful."

📰 Alice has kept a sharp eye on me the entire time, but it's at this question that she drops the formalities. "I wasn't aware you would be prying into my personal affairs. Where did you learn that name?" Her frankness pins me in place. For some reason, I end up apologizing.

🔮 Eli can't help a sheepish smile from blooming across his face. "Well, truthfully... I don't use this term lightly, but they might be the love of my life." He has been consistently grounded with his responses, so I'm surprised to catch him flustered, however subtle it is. Personally, I'm touched.

❤️‍🩹 Emil considers for a moment. He doesn't meet me in the eye, instead pinning his gaze on nowhere in particular. A faint smile ghosts his lips. After a while, he answers, simply, "Safe."

💉 Emily's hands are folded neatly on her lap. At the mention of that name, her shoulders tense, but she otherwise maintains her composure. "Someone I trust." Her answer is vague and cautious, but acceptable. I'll try to uncover a deeper meaning behind that 'trust'.

🌪️ Ithaqua - "Mine." He is curt and to the point. Yours? I echo, hoping he'll elaborate. His head tilts to the side, and while I can't see the face behind his mask, a sense of dread suddenly overcomes me. I decide not to press further.

✂️ Jack stretches out his hand of blades, flexing each finger in front of him. I can't deny the cold sweat that drips down my spine just by being in his presence. "May I respond with a question of my own?" he says to me. "Suppose a butterfly loses its way, and winds up caught in a spider's web. Wouldn't you agree that the more it writhes and struggles, the more exhilarated the spider becomes?" I don't have the courage to hear out the rest of this analogy.

🍀 Lucky - "I've always been known as a pretty lucky guy, but the luckiest day of my life was when I met them! I remember it was the—" He drags me down a long-winded story about their life together. I get the idea. Eventually I'm forced to cut him off.

🩰 Margaretha twirls a curl of hair, a meek blush dusting her cheeks. "Have you ever been in love before? You're never prepared for the magic of it all. I feel a new rush with them everyday. I know, realistically, all good things come to an end, so I tried to remind myself to expect the worst, but they've proven over and over that... I'll never feel safer than in their arms." After rambling for some time, a look of surprise flashes across her face. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to go off like that. Oh, but I've just never met someone who feels so much like true love before."

🔫 Martha doesn't miss a beat. "Sorry, I don't know anyone by that name." I look down to double-check the name written in her file. Her watchful gaze follows my line of sight. Are you sure? I try. "Must've been some confusion somewhere," she insists. The next day, I realize all my files on her and (Y/N) have gone missing.

🪡 Matthias - "Wh-What?" he starts, but keeps going before I can repeat the question. "Oh, uh, an ally, I guess." Well, I gathered that much. When I press for more details, his head sinks low, fingers grasping at the armrest. "I don't know what they saw in me. Was it out of pity?"

🤹 Mike's eyes light up and he blinds me with a contagious smile. "(Y/N)'s a sneaky one, and I mean it—they've got me under the trickiest spell of all. Guess what happens every time I think about them?" Egged on by his grin, I take the bait. You get lovesick? I guess. Suddenly, he tosses a handful of butterfly glitter in my face. "I get butterflies!" Very funny, I sigh, exasperated with these carnies. Why did he have that on hand in the first place?

🧲 Norton leans back in his chair, scowling. "What's that got to do with anything?" He snaps a couple times in my face, urging me to "stay on topic." It's hard to say if this question struck a nerve, as he's been uncooperative for most of this interview, but my suspicions point me to prod further. After all, it'd have been much easier if he just said he didn't know them.

🦋 Vera's face contorts into a leery, hostile glower. "Why do you ask that?" Before I can say anything to mitigate the rising tension, she catches herself, and her expression softens slightly. "I'm sorry. That's... someone quite dear to me, so your question took me by surprise."

🐍 Yidhra's follower goes pale, clearly unnerved. "She won't answer that," she tells me through shallow breaths. "Th-This isn't my place to say, but I'd advise you not to involve yourself with that person." As if on cue, I get a sensation I can only describe as a hand slowly wrapping around my neck. It disappears when I move to scratch it. Must've been my imagination.

How they reacted to your lifeless eyes - Part 3

William Web Ellis

He was sad knowing that you are just lifeless, so he went out of his way to bother you 24/7 keeping you in check so you can feel better. Which it will take some time for you two to get along very well, you get used to him calling your name from afar.

He respects your personal space but will touch you by accident so you have to point it out, but when you manage to smile right in front of him. William feels really happy knowing that he made some progress with you.

You are the first target that he will protect before the others in matches.

Martha Behamfil

She was saddned by your solemn face and yet she give you space out of respect knowing that she is not the right person to talk to. But soon Martha finds herself going straight to you for supporting you and often escorts you to places that makes you feel comfortable.

Martha can understand that you can’t really smile, but feels a bit proud that if you smile once it gave her a bit of joy.

But sadly you will have to get used to her cocky self when she is emoting at hunters who can’t get her.

Tracy Reznick

Sadly she can’t understand how your past was, but will hang out with you just to help out for her puppet for matches. And yet she feels a bit tense to the awkward silence but will soon get’s used to it to the point that she talks for you when you can’t speak.

It won’t stop her from being there for you from time to time, all of a sudden you smile at her gentle gesture of hugs. Tracy was a blushing mess knowing that you actually look so pretty when you smile.

Andrew Kreiss

To his surprised he seems to be startled at first and tries to avoid contact with you for a while. But he is forced to team up with you from time to time….get used to his cold shoulder.

But after a few more rounds of matches when you need help, he was there to help you out something makes him want to hangout with you much more longer just to understand you. Even if the silence was very long that won’t stop him from talking to you on a daily basis.

When he tired to gift something to you one day, it actually made you smile even if its just a little bit. Andrew can’t stop staring and blushing.

Luca Balsa

Well it barely phases him, but he would try to be careful to not hurt you.

And yet he would try to find your excitement over his inventions but unfortunately it failed for who knows how many times. But that won’t stop him from making you feel something after hanging out with you from some more time.

Thankfully you were too kind to him to the point that he actually appreciates you for helping him out, which you smiled a little bit. He was shocked but hugs you knowing that it was a smile that he want to protect even if he forgot about that one day.

Emma Woods

She was heartbroken at the sight of your lifeless eyes, so it was the starting of her journey therefore you will have to get used to her bothering you non stop.

Of course it can get a bit annoying at times but there was some progress-nope not in the slightest to Emma, but at least she tried her best.

That aside you might find out that she was trying to make you smile even if its just once. But it did make her happy when you did try to smile for her, but she did find herself leaning into you even more for a different reason.

Emily: I feel like her type would be maybe someone similar to her, but more extroverted? Someone fun, playful and a little loud but overall someone mature and sensible. Someone who can bring her out of her shell, but she can rely on when times get tough.

Freddy: Freddy wants a trophy wife in my opinion. He'd want a traditional house wife, someone he can brag about. We also know that he stole Martha from Leo so like.. Someone similar to her?

Kreacher: He wants a partner in crime. Someone he can have as a queen he can worship. (everyone should stay 40 ft away from him at all times.)

Emma: This girl just wants someone that won't leave her to be honest. She just wants to feel appreciated and wanted and heard. She's not picky, please- someone don't abandon her.

Servais: Probably wants someone to just relax with, drink a little wine and grow old with. He's tired and a little grumpy so he just wants to kick back.

Kurt: This man wants someone who he can live with. While Servais wants someone he can wind down with, Kurt wants to experience the thrill of being alive. Someone who will listen to his stories and someone who will adventure with him.

Naib: Naib is a.. Very interesting one. I don't think he's picky if you ask me. He probably didn't want to get attached in the first place so I think he'd prefer if his partner would be similar to him..? But I think it could be funny if his partner needed to be protected a ton, just for a mix of dynamic. I am a bit of a nortnaib shipper so. Do what you will.

Martha: Hmmm... She wants someone who she can feel a challenge with. Someone who drives her to always improve and one up. Someone who can test her boundaries and send her up. A real go-getter.

IDV Ladies and their love languages pt. 2

Martha Behamfil

Martha’s love language is quality time! She has a lot of her day pre-determined by a relatively strict schedule. She runs in the mornings before anyone is awake, eats breakfast quickly, depending on the timing of her matches, she’ll decide whether or not to work on projects, converse with others, or do research on one of a few topics. There is a lot she likes to do, and even with all the time in the world, she’d never be satisfied. Her ambitions and passion carries her far. 

-“I’m sorry, Martha. I just don’t think I can get up at 5 a.m. with you.” You tell her with honesty. She’s accepting of this. Of course she isn’t going to force you to participate in only the things she enjoys. 

-But, maybe one time, you can do it! 

-You set your alarm for 5 a.m. and roll yourself out of bed the moment it sounds

-Still in your pajamas, you knock on her door

-“What are you doing awake? You wanted to run with me?!”

-She’ll lend you some of the clothes she uses to work out

-Its actually surprisingly fun! You finally learn what “runner’s high” is

-The two of you spend almost the entire run just talking, laughing, and generally having fun

-When you return to the manor, pale and sweating, she’ll have the brightest blush on her face

-not just from the run, but from how happy she is to be around you

-you might only run with her on the off occasion after that, but you learn just how much she loves to spend her time with you

-If she’s tinkering with something, or reading up on certain flight technologies, she’ll love it if you were there with her

-It would be a lot of you handing her things, or holding a flashlight when necessary

-but she really does appreciate it

Melly Plinius (can you tell i am absolutely head over heels for her)

Melly has trouble being put into a single category in terms of love languages. She gives and receives love so well! She’s happy holding your hand, or if you give her a squeeze of good luck before a match. She loves spending time with you, talking about anything you want, whether it be her telling you about the Pterygota she has spent much of her life studying, or whatever topic interests you. She’s ready to lend a helping hand whenever you need it, and often does so at any given point in time. Her well-timed swarm will unexpectedly fly by, saving you from an attack from the hunter. Gifts from her range greatly, from a nice meal, to flowers and an eloquent note. She’ll even sing for you, eventually. (@ my singing hcs)

-There’s a certain thing you have with Melly.

-An unorthodox way of showing your love for each other 

-If you were to ask anyone in the manor if Melly was seeing anyone, they’d ponder for a moment, shake their head, and say something along the lines of “she’s so closed off, I doubt it.”

-But you know better.

-Sure, around others, you have nothing but a cordial acquaintanceship

-The others would absolutely call you friends, its normal to hug a friend every now and then

-but you two spend way more time together that anyone realizes

-In the secluded garden, she’ll stroll with you at a leisurely pace, smelling the vibrant flowers and checking the planter boxes for interesting specimens

-And you’ll prepare her a bouquet as she allows a large and fluffy Bombus, bumblebee she later goes in depth about, crawl in her hand

-When you come back with the flowers, the bee goes right to it, and the two of you find yourselves in an interesting conversation following that moment

-This is how many days go by, and neither of you could be happier

Patricia Dorval

It took me quite a while to think about this one, but here’s my answer. Patricia Dorval’s love language is physical touch. She has a tendency to be aggressive. She has a strong sense of self, and knows what she wants, and is willing to do what it takes to get it. Whatever it is is subject to her mood at any given point

-If you’ve shown your affections for her, and she has accepted

-Prepare to be hers and only hers, she’s a little possessive

-She also grants you protection, both from the hunters and her curse

-You’re a pure soul of course, you could never be classified as a “sinner” in her eyes.

-So, if you are even in trouble in a match, call upon her. She will be there within the blink of an eye, her arm around your waist and her skill at the ready

-Then, she will not leave your side for the rest of the day

-Patching you up, ensuring you’re properly cared for and getting you ready for bed.

-All of the while she’s brushing her fingers up and down your skin, keeping close to you, and simply enjoying your presence

Tracy Reznik (I am also very much in love with Tracy)

Tracy’s is a gift giver. She’s always making little trinkets and her first thought once complete is to give them to you. She’s a very generous and kind soul, always thinking of you. She loves any show of affection in return, she has no preference for how she receives love, but she almost always shows her love with a gift! 

-Her creativity and love knows no bounds, as once, she gifted you with a miniature robot of herself that incidentally boosted your decoding by a considerable amount. 

-Yeah, you weren’t allowed to bring that into matches anymore

-but you keep it by your bedside table every night

-occasionally, you’ll catch Tracy tampering with it, with a note found later saying “Have fun finding the new feature.”

-She also loves to give you handmade puzzle boxes

-most resemble the inner workings of a clock, and there are many interconnecting parts you have to maneuver at the same time in order to open it.

-She loves to see your face when trying to open one of her gifts

-It makes her proud when she gives you a challenge, to her, it means her gifts are valuable

-Reward her with lots of affection! However you prefer to show affection is good with her

-She feels loved just by being around you

Qi Shiyi

Words of affirmation. There are a lot of things she doesn’t like, being touched, feeling indebted to someone. The best thing you can do for her is to tell her some good things about herself. The things you like about her. She’ll always appreciate it, even if she finds it difficult to take your words to heart. That, too, is how she shows her affection.

-There are often exchanges of “I’m proud of you.” And “You did well in that match.” between the two of you. 

-She’s the first to shout “Follow me” if you’re injured in a match, and while she patches you up, she’ll whisper “Are you in too much pain?” or “It’s all going to be ok.”

-You both have become slightly reliant on each others voices

-If you ever have a nightmare, go to her

-She’ll brush your hair or pat you on the back and reassure you that she’s here for you

First of all, I'm so sorry for finishing this really late. There was a lot going on at the time, but I'd like to think that I'm doing significantly better now ^^

I'm not quite sure if I will still consistently write, but I'll probably come back occasionally to post something or respond to anons, if there are any.

Something about having control over your life was just so entertaining to her. She'd pull on each and every string around you, so carefully yet recklessly – far enough to draw you to the brink of death yet just enough for her to arrive the at the last second, taking her place as the reverent knight in shining armor, when she'd been the very beast that held you captive.

It helped that she knew how important she'd become to you, not that you'd ever admit it out loud. From how you'd subconsciously look for her upon danger's approach, to the relief you'd breathe out at the sight of her; it told her enough, really. Only a dense buffoon couldn't see that.

She's well aware of the risk that her sick little hobby entails, that you'd eventually fall too far for her to reach for you, that she could one day slip up, and that you'd eventually sever all ties with her. But it didn't worry her, not even one bit. After all, it was the thrill of the game, and what fun would it be without a dash of danger to spice things up?

And if you did find out, there wasn't anything a little force couldn't solve, no? She practically knows your weaknesses like the back of her palm, and she's already carefully planned out every necessary move, even going as far as mastering every charade. Then again, it wasn't like you could fight back, because even if you did, Sway would always be one too many steps ahead of you, be it through physical prowess or wits.

She isn't very subtle about her following you. Not that she was terrible at hiding, she was just... bold as she'd like to put it. You weren't going to just accuse her of blatantly stalking you after she's rescued you so many times, no? It'd be careless of her to let you go off into this isolated island alone. And besides, she's just looking out for you, nothing more and absolutely nothing less. At least, that's what she'd hope you'd continue thinking.

When your inevitable resistance comes to show itself, her leniency fades away quicker than you could ever hope to react. One moment she could be your doting guardian angel, only for her to part your lips with the metallic taste of her gun in seconds.

She isn't the type to make empty threats when it comes to giving you a choice. Each word she'd utter carried nothing but her true intentions. So choose to deny the opportunity she has oh-so-mercifully offered to you, and she wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger just as she did with your strings.

Only this time, there'd be no valiant knight to save you. Only this time, you'd realize far too late that there'd never been a knight in the first place, and that you'd been mercilessly tormented by a lovesick beast in shining armor.

But you should know that she isn't as patient as you might think. If you fail to make up your mind on time, she'd simply take it upon her hands to choose for you.

The answer should've been simple, really. Surely, you wouldn't choose the cold hard ground over a life far more comfortable than your current one? She'd take care of you better than you ever did yourself, treat you as though you were a god, protect you like a priceless treasure too valuable to look away from even for the slightest moment. She'd be your picture-perfect lover, so as long as you'd be hers too.

It'd only be when you agree to her demands that she reverts into her more forgiving state. To any tourist or islander in Bélóstáin, you seemed like any other couple, but that was only because they didn't know any better. What they'd thought was a passionate woman who was madly in love with her meek and soft-spoken lover was, in reality, a domineering bird-keeper keeping her beloved nightingale in a cage.

She knows just as much as you do that your love isn't genuine, that every action done to gain her trust was merely out of the desire to escape. Your kisses were laced with enmity just as much as your trinkets or gifts were filled with loathing.

Try to report her to the authorities, that is, if you can even manage. You'd always be so close to sneaking away on your own, only for the woman to swoop you into her arms and apologize in your stead before you could possibly let out an ounce of the truth, more so step into the doors of your freedom.

Talking to other islanders or tourists wasn't on the table either as Sway would silence them one way or another. Perhaps it was the reason why Bélóstáin felt so empty, and why no one seemed to take you as seriously as they once did. They thought you weren't in the right state of mind, and those who thought otherwise would only wind up on the newspaper as, once again, another missing person.

After every attempted escape, she'd sweetly remind you of your place. That the cruise isn't arriving until five more weeks, that you're stuck with her on this island of flowers, whether you like it or not. But should you continue to be persistent despite her many warnings, she'd simply have to 'help' you change.

Even if it means breaking you apart. Even if it means making you less of yourself and more of her ideal lover.

martha and vera did not get along at first i’m going to be straight [ha] with you

vera thought martha was too reckless, going in for rescues even if tide had been used along with her gun

martha thought vera was too cowardly, rather avoiding danger as much as possible even though she was a kiting survivor

to be fair to vera though the previous one was because she heals so damn slowly it’s better for her to try and kite less if another kiter is there

but they warmed up to each other, especially during a blackjack round

martha kept getting downed by violetta, and vera stayed close by this time as the hunter teleported away

annoyed, the coordinator didn’t even notice that vera was close by

she jumped when she felt the perfumer touch her shoulder and start healing her

“...what are you doing?” “shh. you’re lucky i finished the cipher close by. come on.”

even though neither won that match, martha eventually warmed up to vera, and vice versa

martha isn’t the most ladylike person, though she does take care of herself... enough.

sure she has basic hygiene done but like that’s about it

rarely uses make up

vera looks forward to changing it!

vera loves pampering martha when matches are done. she never does it before a match because she knows her heart can’t take seeing one) her girlfriend’s face injured and two) make up all ruined in one match

martha acts like she hates it, but when vera straddles her waist carefully and apply a light blush to the coordinator’s cheeks, she couldn’t help but melt

coordinator frets over vera a lot, especially whenever she gets hurt in a match

with her slow healing speed, she’s afraid that vera might not be able to be healed in time before the hunter might find her

very worrisome girlfriend

after matches, when it’s not make up time, martha finds home in vera’s arms, taking in the scent of euphoria

vera loves doing little tiny braids in martha’s hair whenever they cuddle

also if you ever point out to vera that she stares at martha’s arms a lot when the coordinator isn’t wearing the jacket, you’ll catch the perfumer flustered and embarrassed

going off your prompt of them going to rescue you, to see you laughing on the chair, he initially doesn't really acknowledge it. like, he's aware that you laughed, but it doesn't process fully until after rescuing you or after the match

even then, he probably won't question it much

that is until a few more occasions where he finds you laughing during you would think to be rather terrifying, and then he finally picks up on the fact that you laugh when you're scared

tbh, he doesn't really notice it after he realizes nor does he really say anything about it

but, if you ever find yourself laughing out of fear, no need to be afraid, naib's here for you !

as she goes to rescue you, she does take note of how you're laughing and raises an eyebrow

she's like "..?" but is more focused on rescuing

doesn't ask what you were laughing about or why, but probably doesn't notice the pattern as quickly as naib did

unlike naib, she will most likely ask and when you tell her, it'll be like an "oh, okay :)" moment

if you're alright with it, martha'll probably tease you a little bit, but just small, playful things and nothing serious

Headcanons with a clingy and hyperactive s/o:

Demi:

She find them extremely cute. Demi loves their clingy and hyperactive personality

She would squish their cheeks each time they hug her before she hugs them back

Demi doesn't mind if they hold onto her a lot, even out in public. They'll both be sitting somewhere and she won't mind them sitting in her lap or her sitting in their lap

When s/o is hyper, Demi will hold their hand and let them pull her around. Whatever her s/o has got planned she will do her best to keep up! And she actually can!

she likes to flirt with them and kiss them A LOT just see what kind of reaction she'll get

If someone has something rude to say about their s/o, she will snap at them with no hesitation. Might even roast them some to get them to shut up. Demi won't serve that person drinks anymore during and outside of matches

If their s/o is below the drinking age, she won't serve them still. Might give them some carbonated drinks though

During matches Demi isn't too worried about her s/o, but she is a little bit

If s/o is above drinking age she's always running around searching for them because she knows in he gut that they got hit

When Demi is tired, but her s/o isn't. She just lay her head in their lap and let them play with her hair and she'll just take a long nap

Martha:

It actually took Martha a little bit of time to get used to the clinginess, but she did warm up soon

Pats her s/o's head when they get hyper and kisses their forehead

Will offer some exercises to help get their energy out. She'll do it with them too and maybe make it into a game

"Race you to the manor's door, whoever loses has to do laundry!"

Those exercises also helped a lot in matches. The hunters just give up and focus on someone else

Eli is very patient with his s/o being hyper and clingy. They can hold onto him all they want and he won't say anything

Hell, he'll rest his head on them

He finds them goofy, so you'll hear him chuckle sometimes

When in private, he likes to wrap his arms around their waist and kiss the back of their head. If his s/o turns around to hug him back, he'll leave a kiss on their nose while humming

Eli does struggle to keep up, but he tries to. If he loses track of them he'll send Brooke Rose out to find them, so he can go to where they're at

In matches he is extremely worried, he knows his s/o can handle themselves just fine, but he doesn't want them hurt

If they do get hurt he gently scolds them and gives them a kiss. He tells them to be careful next time

Eli likes to cuddle with his back propped against something and his s/o laying on them. When he's laying down, he let's them wrap their arms and legs around him to hold him close.

He loves seeing his s/o play with Rose. He thinks it's adorable and sweet. Might catch himself staring at them

People who are rude to them, suddenly stop. They don't know why, they just know that they won't look at Eli who just gives his s/o a sweet smile and waves at them

Norton:

He struggled with this at first. He's used to being very closed off, so it took quite a bit of time to get used to things

Norton used to feel tense about their clinginess, but found himself starting to get clingy himself

As for their hyperactive side, he tends to stand back and just watch. Unless his s/o wants him a part of whatever they're doing he'll join in

Goes to Eli for advice, he doesn't want to feel like he's being rude or anything in the relationship because he knows he can be a bit grumpy

In private he will hold his s/o in his lap and leave chaste kisses on their neck. They can't get up. He won't let them

Vera lives with the risk of forgetting everything within a few hours if she overuses her perfume and has even forgotten who she is completely on some days. However nothing prepared her for when you first informed her of having narcolepsy

first she was really confused, since she didn't understand what she should do in those sorts of situations

but eventually she went to Emily for help on the topic, and in an attempt to try and remember as much as she could... she restrained herself from using euphoria for a few days as she read the material.

sure, she felt like complete and utter shit for those few days, but she was proud of herself given that even after she started using euphoria again, she was able to still retain all the information needed, and this began some... interesting behaviours.

Whenever she noticed that you were asleep at the beginning of a match, she'd do her best to find you first, and given that she had grown used to surviving, she was significantly stronger than she was when she first joined the game, and thus a few times you have woken up with her carrying you on her back, or even decoding with one hand while you're on her back.

"It's a good workout!" She'd say with a smile whenever you'd apologise, though she would always shrug it off and comment about that if you can't help it, that the team should do their best to work around it, not against it.

Vera does her best to be a team player, but sometimes she does forget, especially in a kite so there will always be a system where if Vera indicates she was found first or is decoding, someone else will go and find you.

you sometimes tend to be a bit guilty whenever you fall asleep during games, so in return, you help Vera with making new perfumes (while wearing a mask), but she appreciates any time she gets to spend with you.

Martha Behamfil || Coordinator

Martha grew up to be the perfect spy, and at this point she had forgotten her own name, however when you first showed signs of narcolepsy, she immediately grilled you on everything she wanted to know, including things such as when you were most likely to fall asleep, what tended to happen when you felt it coming on [if you did], etc.

She combined the information with her own research, usually being spotted reading a book on neurological conditions while doing some sort of exercise. Martha is a health buff and is defiantly more buff looking than she is in game

Given that she hates the idea of leaving people behind, like Vera, she will carry you whenever she notices that you're asleep in a game, however, she won't carry you all the time. Knowing that she should be ready for any type of situation, she learnt how to hide you amongst things such as rubble, grass, etc, so then if she needs to kite the hunter for a while, she knows that you won't be in direct danger.

A woman of many talents, she prepares many things for many situations. She carries bandages, adrenaline, and even extra shoes should the ones she wears into match breaks, however she begins to carry things such as [safe] stimulants in the case you need to be woken up immediately.

of course she had asked about it first, and the two of you practiced the procedure of waking you up if need be as the games can go south super quickly, and sometimes it might just come up to be that you'd need to escape on your own. You couldn't put yourself in danger if that was the situation.

Outside the games, she drills into you a set schedule of naps and bedtimes, sure, she can be strict with them, but she wants to try and put you into a pattern where your body won't fall asleep in matches and sure, while it might not completely work, it was something that could work in your favour.

Also, she makes you your own custom pillow and blanket in order to make you more comfortable. This woman can crochet faster than your grandma with such precision that you'd think that she was some type of cyborg. She chalked it up to having a lot of time to practice while at the manor, might as well use eternity to learn the skills that she always wanted to.

eventually she began to take naps with you, something the other rescuers joked about, but in the end they understood that she was just trying to help you in her... solider way.

It wasn't difficult to deduce that you were being watched. Not when the stalker in question didn't make any effort to conceal herself in the shadows.

You wanted to confront her, to tell her off and quit whatever she was plotting, but you couldn't find it in your heart to do so. After all, she'd happened to be the only reason you weren't stuck resting in your bed and full of injuries. She was probably just looking after you, albeit a little too much for your comfort. But you hoped that at the very least, she'd leave you alone, even for just a moment, when you talk to the young man who had asked you to meet him somewhere behind the mountain.

A loud bang followed by birds fearfully flying away from the scene immediately cut your train of thought. Panic-stricken and paralyzed in fear, you nervously looked around in a cold sweat, subconsciously searching for your little stalker only for her to be nowhere in sight, much to your surprise and dismay.

To be fair, you asked for it, but fate seemed to heed your calls at the worst time to be left completely alone. It made you irritatedly and regretfully scratch the side of your head. "Ugh, she must have heard me complaining, somehow..."

You let yourself rest for a moment, and once you'd managed to catch your breath, you anxiously made your way back into the safety of the lodgings and company of your fellow tourists. For a destination renowned for its vacations of a lifetime, the islanders and staff would surely be on their toes for anything that may be a hindrance to everyone's comfort and enjoyment, right? You'd at least like to comfort yourself that way.

A miasma of unpleasant thoughts that narrated how you might meet your doom kept you distracted as you continued your trek back. So much that you failed to notice the sound of a loose branch breaking off of a tree directly above you, only realizing your mistake when its shadow loomed over your now-widened eyes.

"Watch out!" a hand forcefully pulled you out of danger's way.

This was the second time, or third, if you counted the mere sound of a gun, you were put in danger on this accursed island. You wondered if you were truly on a vacation or if you signed yourself up for an island survival show.

After realizing that you'd been harshly gripping on your savior's clothes, you looked toward their direction only to find that it was, once again, the lady that had been following you for the past few days.

"Oh... it's you." you blankly stared. The lady was taken aback by the way you looked at her, almost worried that she'd done something she wasn't supposed to do.

"You're most welcome, but allow me to escort you back to the lodgings. You must be frightened after hearing the loud gunshot." she offered, not really giving you a choice when she started pulling you away from the path and through the woods. Upon seeing your tight-lipped glare, she assured you. "I know a shortcut, don't worry."

As promised, you arrived safely and relatively quicker than you initially thought. You immediately felt relieved at the sight of the lodges, but you couldn't help but worry about that man. Surely, he must have heard the gunshot too, and he was probably on his way back. Perhaps you could just apologize about it later, you thought before graciously giving the woman your thanks once more.

"I have some urgent business to attend to." She adjusted her hat, and her eyes immediately darkened at the mention of urgent. "If you perchance want me to keep you company before you sleep, I'll most likely be back here by seven."

You nodded and glanced at your watch–it was five in the afternoon, so she'd be gone for around two hours. With the threat of a gunman or gunwoman on the loose, you'd probably be looking forward to her offer.

The next day, news regarding the incident had spread around the island. Unfortunately, it had only worsened the turmoil within Bélóstáin.

The supposed culprit responsible for the the gunshot had been discovered; however, he'd been found dead, sprawled over the grass with a single fatal gunshot wound on his forehead. In his hand was the gun in question, and scattered around him were flowers of varying shapes and sizes. It didn't help that this was the same man you'd intended to meet, and that he'd been discovered in the same spot that you two had agreed on prior to the incident.

But it didn't end there. Along with the discovery of the culprit came news of another dead body. According to word of mouth, the victim was last seen just this morning, around two hours before her body was found resting against a tree by the abandoned manor. Like the previous victim, she too had a single gunshot wound on her forehead, but strangely, not a sound was heard.

You hated to believe it, but you were one of the last people to see her alive. It was the yesterday noon, right after you'd prepared for your walk. She'd made a simple request–to have her photo taken. And since you figured it wouldn't take much of your time, you agreed to help, not knowing that it'd be the last you see of her.

'I might as well be next...' You paced around your room, failing to calm yourself down as you found yourself more intrigued yet horrified with the case at hand. 'that man died after asking me to meet him somewhere, and that woman, she-'

"(Name)!" the door slammed open, and there stood Sway, who seemed panicked. But before you could scold her about knocking, you were suddenly engulfed in a tight embrace. "I heard the news- I'm so glad you're still safe..."

'Could it be her? Where did she suddenly disappear off to that day...' you shuddered as the thought crossed your mind. 'and why is she so persistent about guarding me...'

You pushed her away, hiding your fear behind a fierce glare.

"You killed them."

Not that you were confident in your accusation. It wasn't like you had any means to prove it, but what was the worst that could happen if it really wasn't her? She'd be angry, sure, but she'd finally give you some space, if anything. However, things didn't turn out quite like you'd expected.

She laughed.

And the longer she went on, the more you lived to regret your decision. You were by no means capable of self-defense, and with the true killer standing by your now locked door. There was no running nor crying for help in the soundproofed room.

"You're awfully perceptive." Sway admitted when she finally regained her composure. She knew better than to try and play innocent.

"And you're an awfully terrible actress." you retorted.

She smirked. Quietly, very carefully, and very slowly, she reached for something inside of her coat–it was a gun. But of course, with no other target in the room, it was directed at you.

"Go on. Do the deed. You aren't all act, aren't you?" you spat.

"Perceptive AND bold." Sway lowered the gun and chuckled. "I love that about you, you know? But..."

In an instant, she knocked you off balance, and pinned you to the ground. The pepper spray you'd been hiding fell along with you. She saw right through you, as though your intentions were foolishly hidden behind nothing but glass. Your chin was held up, and you were forced to watch her crush the can with her gloved hands before she tossed it to the side.

"...I'm a little perceptive myself, don't you think?" She whispered into your ear.
