You live in the Matrix, right?

Dear All,

Have you seen the Matrix? I am referring to the Hollywood Blockbuster that was extremely popular in the early millennium. If not, you missed something. But anyway, The Matrix Resurrections is to come out soon.

The movie claims that people live in a dream world induced by machines that use the human body to supply energy. People that do not accept the virtual reality have the chance to escape: They are offered two pills, blue and red: If they take the red pill, they exit the Matrix and find themselves in the real world: Mankind assembled in Zion, an underground city, battling the machines. If they take the blue pill, they remain in the Matrix. Thus, they are given a choice to stay in a fictional world or to face reality.

The movie triggered various emotions. It raised questions that remained unanswered; the film, therefore, induced a discourse, and fan-projects like the Matrix Wiki became frequent sites.

OK, but why should I bother?

As seen in the movie, The Matrix is a prison for one's mind, a feeling known to many of us. It seems that we lack to realize our full potential, that we are kept at bay by society.

There are concepts around that, and the Matrix draws a lot from them. If you feel that you want to free your mind and discover the unchartered territory of your personality, then look out for my upcoming posts.

But I have to warn you: It can become dangerous.
