this mcsm confessions page is something and i get it's a nice way to post stuff anonymously but i think essays and headcanons ought to be posted on YOUR account so people can rb and appreciate YOUR ideas. i mean when i think of CONFESSIONS i think of silly things like saying a character is hot or something, less so saying your harmless headcanons. maybe just a hot take of mine, but if most of this headcanon and discussion is coming from a mcsm confessions page, it's kinda sad like we could all be talking if this is the case, now the tags blowing up cause of a confessions account. though i can kinda see why i mean some people dont enjoy getting hounded. i guess i just don't get it completely

Obsessed with like the three people ive seen who pull the "why are you hating on a woc" card on loreen like. I cannot express to you how non-personal this whole thing is. I hate the new age people who are all like “You are so powerful at manifesting that you don’t even know you are doing it.” Or some other crap along those lines. In my opinion manifesting only works because you aren’t actually manifesting you are just trying to make an effort to achieve your goals. As someone who has OCD and unpleasant intrusive thoughts hearing these people talk about how you’re so powerful at manifesting that you don’t even realize is very gross in my opinion. If I’m so powerful then all these horrible things can happen and it’s my fault because that is how my OCD works, I know that you can’t control the universe or others actions but I get that vibe from these new age psychic people that it’s possible and I feel like that is damaging for people who have OCD.

Guys, I was watching a video on instagram (idk what’s a reel and at this point I’m too afraid to ask) and it was a cute little video about tiny lino printing and there was a song playing over it- as is normal for art process videos- and I was like huh, this sounds like The Cure (I have only listened to Boys Don’t Cry).

I’ll be focusing on other things more than my writings since they’re way less popular than other stuff I post/reblog. I’ve been hemming and hawing over it for a few weeks and I feel it’s the best decision. If anyone is interested in my own content, you can simply follow the links in my pinned posts to my writings. I started out strong but I’ve been feeling highly unmotivated lately.

I admit I’m a sensitive person and take things to heart, but yeah…it’s hard out here for writers. It’s a struggle. I spend so much of my free time providing the best work I can and get nothing in return. It’s hard to gauge if people actually enjoy what I put out there. Tumblr has become like Instagram where people chase the likes and don’t crave the interactions that us older users favor.

This is a tiny blog in a deep sea, so it’s understandable to me. There are lots of better writers out there. I’ll still be here catering to the blog and finding cool things to share here.

Nobody will care about this announcement, but I just wanted to get my thoughts and ramblings out there. Venting my frustrations is helpful in the long run.
