BANDARLAMPUNG - Pererat silaturahmi, gabungan pimpinan media sembilan group menggelar buka bersama dengan wartawan dari masing-masing kabupaten kota. Gabungan media yang tergabung di media sembilan group ini diantaranya, Media Sembilan, Analisis, Realita Lampung, Media Merah, Media Berjaya, MBTV Online, Media 9 TV online, Newsid, Berita Institute, Rebolasi, Lentera TV ini berlangsung di Sky Garden Cafe and Resto, Jalan Batukalam, Langkapura, Kecamatan Kemiling, Kotaa Bandar Lampung, Selasa (18/4/2023). Turut hadir langsung dalam rapat bersama ini Direktur PT Realita Lampung Mandiri Sarnubi, Wakil Pimpinan Redaksi Realita Lampung group Willy Dirgantara bersama perwakilan biro dan wartawannya. Selain dari pimpinan Sembilan Sembilan Hamzah bersama jajaran dan Abung Mamasa pimpinan media Analisis dan perwakilan media lainnya yang tergabung di media sembilan group. Dalam acara silaturahmi itu Direktur Media Realita Lampung Sarnubi menyampaikan beberapa hal penting dalam membangun kebersamaan untuk menarik kepercayaan publik. Disampaikannya, untuk media Realitalampung.com sendiri yang diterbitkan badan hukum PT Realita Lampung Mandiri yang dipimpinannya tersebut pada akhir tahun 2021 lalu mendapatkan apresiasi dari komisi Ombudsman RI Perwakilan Lampung sebagai salah satu media daring teraktif. Untuk itu, Sarnubi mengajak semua keluarga media yang tergabung di media sembilan group bisa terus melakukan perbaikan yang dimulai dari wajib membaca, peningkatan etika dalam berkomunikasi untuk memperoleh informasi yang akurat guna dipublikasikan kepada khalayak ramai. Diharapkannya kepada keluarga besar media sembilan group bisa terus meningkatkan minat baca dan mengedepankan etika dalam menjalankan rutinitas sebagai sosial kontrol khususnya di dunia jurnalistik. Sebagai wartawan tentunya kita tidak terlepas dari membaca, selain dari mencari, mengumpulkan dan mengolah untuk disampaikan agar disajikan ke publik, kata Sarnubi. Membaca tujuannya, lanjutnya, supaya wartawan bisa terus bersama-sama belajar untuk terus berbenah menghilangkan persepsi negatif tentang tugas jurnalis. Bukankah prodak jurnalis adalah karya tulis, yang dituliskan oleh seseorang di dalam media yang berbadan hukum, sama halnya dengan sebutan kata wartawan. Wartawan, warta itu berita, wan itu saya, berarti berita saya, jelasnya. Lalu tentang etika, seorang jurnalis atau wartawan tentunya juga tidak terlepas dari etik, wartawan harus berpegang teguh dengan etika. Selian dari berlandaskan dalam menjalankan tugas dilindungi oleh Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 1999, wartawan juga dibekali dengan kode etik jurnalis yang disebut KEJ, sambungnya. Sebelumnya, Ketua Paguyuban Media Sembilan Group Hamzah mengatakan, tujuan mengadakan buka puasa bersama ini adalah silaturahmi. Bertepatan dengan suasana ramadhan. "Menyambung sliaturahmi sesama media, yang tergabung dalam Media 9 Group," ujarnya. Menurut dia, media yang tergabung dalam Media 9 Group ada 10 Media. Antara lain, Media Sembilan, Realita Lampung, Analisis, Media Merah, Media Berjaya, MBTV Online, Media 9 TV online, Newsid, Berita Institute, Rebolasi, Lentera TV. Dia berharap, kedepannya antar sesama pemilik media bisa bersinergi, dan SDM wartawan di semua daerah dan di Provinsi bisa sama-sama ditingkatkan. May I ask what TWOP is that I read about in your writers interviews?

TWOP = Television Without Pity. I linked to the site in the Old School X interview that I think you’re referring to, but the link was with the full text and not the abbreviation. Sorry if I made that confusing.

As for “what is TWoP,” it was an excellent website all about TV. It is hard to overemphasize how many fans flocked to TWoP. Not just for X-Files. For tons of shows.

TWoP started its life as DawsonsWrap as a site about the show Dawson’s Creek before branching out to more shows and changing its name to Mighty Big TV (MBTV). For a bunch of shows, different writers on staff (the so-called “recappers”) wrote recaps of every episode. First there would be a little recaplet right after an episode aired, and then before the next episode aired there would be a long form episode breakdown of every little thing that happened. The recaps were full of personality and asides that made them incredibly fun to read. Sometimes I read recaps of shows I didn’t even watch because I liked a recapper so much.

The X-Files recaps by Jessica started at season 8, right around when MBTV came to life. She went back and recapped some earlier episodes and Fight the Future because that is how much people loved the show and her telling of it.

TWoP/MBTV had very active, popular forums for all the shows they recapped plus everything else TV. I can’t link to them because they are very sadly lost to time. Those message boards really were amazing, in no small part because of how they were ruled with an iron fist so people stayed polite and on topic. I can’t say too much about the XF forums in particular because while I read them sometimes, I was more active on other shows’ forums.

Bravo (NBC) bought TWoP in 2007. It remained basically the same for a year or so, but then the site founders left and the site changed for good (well, for bad since it wasn’t a good change by pretty much all fan accounts I’ve ever heard). And now the site’s gone entirely. TWoP/MBTV was great fun while it lasted.

Media 9 Group, Rapat dan Bukber di Sky Garden Cafe

BANDAR LAMPUNG - Bertujuan meningkatkan SDM dan bersinergi, 10 media yang tergabung dalam Media 9 Group mengadakan rapat dan buka puasa bersama, Selasa (18/04/2023).

Rapat dan buka puasa bersama tersebut diselenggarakan di Sky Garden Cafe, Puncak Batu Kalam, Kota Bandar Lampung. Dalam acara tersebut hadir 11 orang perwakilan dari 10 media yang tergabung dalam Media 9 Group. Rapat dimulai pukul 16.30 WIB, dan berkahir dengan buka puasa bersama. Ketua Paguyuban Media 9, Hamzah, tujuan mengadakan buka puasa bersama ini adalah silaturahmi. Bertepatan dengan suasana ramadhan.
