She literally waited 7 years and became a sellsword to a giant multi level marketing girlboss then went on a ridiculous llama fetch quest and broke into the girlboss's evil lair to steal her sword back to avoid talking about her feelings

jesse puts alot of effort helping petra be open and friendly and THEN SPENDS A WHOLE EXTRA SEASON trying to make petra stop being angsty and worried about being alone. it would take SO LONG for petra to openly feel comfortable and confident kissing jesse but when þat happens þeyd kiss alot fr...cuz like.. look at petra , i dont þink any insults could stick on and she already kicks ass with sword so why not add a bit of a flirt side to that :3 also not to mention how in e1s2 you choose to fight into þe treasure room and petras like "are we REALLY talking now??" and jesses like "Yep!" and immediately questions petra SOBS???? theyre so goober i lovr them.

also note how petra isnt familiar with friendships but is familiar wiþ fighting so she easily learnt to fight alongside wiþ jesse than be friends first bc petra likes to not leave her comfort zone. so jesse drags petra like 30 miles away from that comfort zone to only make it open 0.001% of that distance. jess wants a girlfriend but girl cant even get pookie to open up. love þem anyways <3
