Song Zichen stands on a small, residential path in Cloud Recesses. The sunlight glints off of the crossed swords he wears, and Lan Xichen’s heart pangs with sympathetic grief. When their eyes meet across the bursting pink garden, the man’s expressionless face still somehow conveys concern. --- Lan Xichen is still in seclusion when he begins an unlikely friendship with Song Lan and the teenaged ghost who walks beside him.

It's @mdzsrbb time again!!! @mockedspace and I have a fic for any dragon-noodle fans or fans of Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen! Please go give mockedspace and her fic some love <3

I had a great deal of fun with this partnership. I got to pull out my watercolor landscapes again and paint tiny JC. I'd say he's a giant in the first painting at a hair over 2cm tall from boots to bun, but...

Then I painted this one, and both Dragon Xichen and Jiang Cheng are *big*. JC (from waist to the top of his bun) is 2.9 cm.

It is a graveyard shift to end all graveyard shifts, and the absolute worst way to celebrate a birthday.

She is alone. As she knew she would be. It is one of the reasons why she has been avoiding opening her eyes until now, allowing herself to stay in that comforting nothingness that Wen Qing’s tranquilizing powder had provided. A still quiet dark space where she doesn’t have to face the fact that A-Xian had deliberately deceived her and A-Cheng had willingly helped carry her into this carriage, to see that they had chosen to send her away, even though they were all she had left.. the darkness tugs at her, pulling her deeper into the depths where her mind was quieter in its grief. “A-Li. Listen carefully and no one dies.”

The first of my art contributions for the 2023 MDZS Reverse Big Bang! @mdzsrbb I've always wondered what the Yanli + Song Lan Lanling Roadtrip might have looked like, and kaminikaku brought a lovely story to life!

I get to share my second @mdzsrbb partnership for 2023!!! Saichan took my art and ran with it in all the most amazing ways, taking a single thread and making something wonderful.

This fic is all about family, friends, and preparing for an exciting future. Jiang Yanli is at the center of it all, and it was a delight to get to know her this way through Saichan's words.
