#idk how often the posts will be. maybe 3-4 a week #12 hr workday + no real privacy in my room #means I could only edit late at night #or on the weekend #and it feels like such a waste of my tiny bit of free time #to be sitting at my desk pretending to do something as I wait for my mom to gtfo of my room #I think all the typing makes her suspicious idk man #it made what should have taken 45 mins take up to 2 hrs sometimes #so I will be attempting to do all my editing on friday/saturday and queue the posts #what I’ve been doing is scheduling 2-4 days of posts at a time #but like I said. doing it during the weekday is extremely time consuming due to being watched :p #on the weekends she’s less nosy and I can just wait for her to be asleep lol #if tumblr didn’t have an audio upload limit then I could just go all out for like 3 hrs and have a big queue lined up #it will actually take me less time to edit on a friday/saturday just cause I won’t be interrupted at all at nignt. lol.#tldr: I have very little free time and am interrupted constantly during the week #it will be easier for me to edit late at night on the weekend #and schedule the posts throughout the week #at the cost of no more daily posts (blame tumblr audio limit)#non voice post

its been a while since i had a good nights sleep without night terrors and waking up drenched in sweat and i would like to say. i do not like this very much

#i also cant just have an adequate amount of sleep #7-8 hrs i get on weekdays are not enough for me. i get aleepy at like 8 pm and often during the day #and on weekends i sleep for 10-12 hrs which makes my head hurt (but i can’t just easily wake up earlier. it doesnt work like that)#so like. do i have a sleep disorder? is my sleep schedule fucked up by meds?#how much sleep do i need to normally function anyway? a mystery.#arnold’s laments

aaagh. i try not to worry so much about money and whatnot because its my number one anxiety and im sooo happy i have my job because its really easy and also tennis themed but they are NOT giving me a lot of hours. i wanted to work full time (or at least like 30 hours a week) this summer because i didnt work all school year and i really really need cash for university. some back of napkin calculations tell me id make an extra ~1.5k if i was working back at my minimum wage job this summer. and i would be doing two jobs if i could but my hours at the tennis club are not consistent (like, it’s not as if i work every thursday or whatever, i just work whenever and i cant schedule around it) so i couldn’t plan my second job around it. and i know i could be firm and tell each place i can work xyz days but i hate doing thattttt. someone give me ten thousand canadian dollars please ! okay complaining over

#like yeah my pay is higher at the tennis club but it does not balance out the lack of hours #im not working at all this week #and the next few weeks i have more hours because one guy is going on vacation #but i know that when he comes back im back down to like. 15 hours a week #I NEED MORE THAN THAT!!#the issue with the club is that they hired too many damn people #weekdays theres only one shift a day and weekends theres two shifts a day #and they have like. five people for this #and im glad they hired me but fuck they really should not have #it’s technically okay i have a good amount of savings from my old job and i can get a new job in university #but i just wish i could work more now and worry less during the school year #ugh i wish it wasnt so hard for me to have found a job i wish i had worked during this school year #anyways. no sense grieving the life unlived. no changing the past. onwards and upwards everyone #but in said onwards and upwards. do i get a second job? help meeee

fuck yeah the classical music radio station is currently playing mahler 1 (haitink with berlin phil)!!!!!

#this is the only mahler symphony they ever play but hey i'll take it #also they play it like once a month and i usually can't catch it #this is also like the best radio station on the entire earth because:#1. the hosts do not talk excessively but usually provide a little bit of background for most of the pieces as well as the musicians/ensembl #their voices are very soothing #2. i mostly listen to romantic period music and later but they play mostly pre-romantic and some romantic era music so i've #been exposed to a lot of new music that is quite good even though it isn't my favorite style or time period #3. they give weather reports (from their own hosts) usually at the top of every hour and this is pretty much the only way i get weather new #4. they broadcast five minutes of news from npr at the top of each hour during peak periods (rush hours mostly) which is a nice break #from the music and also is the predominant way i get news #5. every weekday at 7pm they broadcast pbs newshour which is very nice of them #and 6. and MOST IMPORTANTLY #they also allow you to listen to the station through their website so when im not in the car i can STILL listen to the classical music #radio station and the pleasant hosts bc i don't have a radio or anything that i can just use outside of the automobile #if anybody wants the website ask me!!! i don't want to just link it because doxxing but ill happily send people the link privately!#mahler #classical music

going to that tea tasting this morning was pretty interesting bc it ended up being me, the owner (chinese), and three other people who seemed to be friends (white guy, chinese girl, sinagoprean girl). the conversation kept hovering around history and language in china and singapore since the owner (and at one point after conversing w the girls in mandarin jokingly said "we should switch languages so that everyone can understand including the minorities" and motioned to me and the white dude lmao) but also at one point the owner asked if anybody at the table watched the debate at all and he and the singaporean in particular were saying how they watched it more for entertainment than with any investment. since they're not voting anyway as non-citizens

#meanwhile i was like i didn't watch it and the owner asked if i thought it was funny or embarrassing and i said embarrassing LOL #it's all entertainment at this point though it's not real actionable politics #i wanna talk about me #sasha speaks #anyway it was pleasant. i didn't talk much but it was nice to just sit and listen and share tea #we talked about chinese dialects in fujian and the owner's family business in tea and singaporean history education and stuff #and how business has been lousy at the store recently due to the weather (rainy every weekend in may and stinking hot put in june)#but how business is best in nov/dec as people buy holiday gifts #i'm gonna try to make an effort to visit during the week more often since they see so little business during the weekday #they're only open during my work hours unfortunately but i'll have wiggle room in july at least #and the tea is really good and i like that the owner is so friendly #plus the sunday tea tastings are totally free?? ridiculously nice

trying to remind myself that this exhaustion and fatigue is a heavy layer of Bad over everything and skewing my perspective but dear fucking god i really feel like there is Nothing for me and everything is so scary and overwhelming. trying to just grit my teeth and tell myself once i rest and recover from the roadtrip then life will feel manageable again but i am not anywhere near convinced this is true fhfkdl
