Ugh, I knew I should have just waited to send that, rather than trying to rush it off before fighting the ohgodwhat...
It did actually break my computer, but I have spares of course. Anyway, I'm really sorry that I upset you, let me try and explain myself...
Firstly, you know that old adage, "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"? Well... that's what was going on with the Dream thing. I didn't re-read the Dream section of the SBURB Glitch FAQ before sending, and the ONE Dream player I've ever met didn't have transparent clothes.
Still, I really do believe it's something that's been mostly version drifted away (which I REFUSE to budge on being real). I've not seen the memes! I think the memes you speak of are dead memes, buried in 7-year-old threads! And in my defense, Dream as an aspect has been getting rarer and rarer (or so I've heard) (which I also attribute to version drift).
Anyway, I wasn't trying to say that your writing is "obsolete", I'm saying parts of it might be for most modern sessions. And if we assume that you fell out of sync recently, or over a period of time, and not early on- which you seems likely as many of the asks you've gotten make reference to things I'd say have long since version-drifted into obscurity- then many of your postings were probably helpful at the time.
All I'm saying is that in more recent asks, you seem to be operating on a slightly outdated understanding, not that your entire blog was always worthless, or that nothing your saying has any application at all to the game as it is...
Finally, I'll say that it's a bit hard to notice when a post is a submission, vs just one you made. I have to scroll down past the actual post and check in the notes section to see that... at least, the way I was reading them. Check out the difference between these posts depending on the link you use:
https://www.tumblr.com/sburbian-sage/163102151042/please-tell-us-more-about-cuter-carapaces-this-is
https://sburbian-sage.tumblr.com/post/163102151042/please-tell-us-more-about-cuter-carapaces-this-is
I had been using the bottom link, which doesn't display the "submitted by" in the actual post.
You keeping a stockpile of multiple computers because they explode at the drop of a hat instantly disproves any spurious SBOOB accusations I've made. The only other thing I'll be apologizing for is me laughing at the "I saw a Dream player once and their clothes weren't transparent" line, because it's extremely funny. I wonder why your friend instantly went to get their outfit changed when they realized how little it leaves to the imagination. Unless you ascended at the same time, in which case I will be laughing harder (and conceding that yeah maybe there was some weird stuff going on there).
But either way, I think we're at an unsquarable circle. This is the first time I'm being accused of being massively out of sync, it's only coming from one source, and your accounts are massively out of whack with what I know and am keeping up with. I know this sounds like a "no u", but I think the only one version drifted in the room right now is you. This is at least vaguely similar to a Time player messaging you from the future, to the past, and acting like you know what the fuck he's talking about. I could be outdated, but I think with my current understanding that you might be forward-dated.
In any case, I acknowledge the "your advice is still good if working off of slightly off information" line, and will resolve to hit the books some more. And in turn, I apologize for accusing you of being a phantom from the internet come to rob me of my mental faculties and ability to relate to reality. I was originally going to post the image of the anime girl saying "let's agree to disagree" while she imagines the other person being hit by a car, but I'm not going to post it anymore, because I don't want you to be hit by a car. Also because I can't find it, but that's beside the point.

Rules for mobile users
[[here’s a google doc for the updated list of rules, applicable for all my blogs]]
anything under this cut is from my outdated rules.
[rules updated: 07/28/2019]
–STUFF YOU SHOULD DO–
• No godmodding. No sending (implied or explicit) homophobic/transphobic/bigoted messages to me or my character either.
• Please don’t over-pester me for replies. I promise I’ll get to them. Feel free to drop me a reminder after at least a week of no replies, though. In return, I usually give you a week too, unless otherwise specified in your own rules, until I remind you if it’s your turn to reply (or more often, I chicken out and trust that you’ll eventually respond/want to drop it and end up never bringing up that particular thread ever again). You’re always free to start multiple threads with me, that is greatly encouraged because I love having lots of threads with people.
• If you start getting bored with the roleplay, feel free to drop it and/or end it. We can always start up another thread in the future.
• However, please let me know if you want to drop a roleplay thread! It can give me major anxiety when I’m waiting for a response that’s never going to come, and I wonder if I did something wrong and assume that’s why you’re not replying anymore :’) I’m not forcing you to let me know if you want to drop a thread, you can drop it without saying anything too. But I personally really appreciate being told about that sort of thing.
• Don’t reblog a thread you’re not part of. This should go without being said, of course. Personals will be hardblocked immediately, rp blogs will receive a warning.
• If you can trim your threads, please do! It’s fine if you can’t, though, because I will most likely trim the thread for you. If you don’t trim threads with other people, however, I’ll be less likely to follow you since I don’t like scrolling through long posts.
• Please don’t claim any of my art as your own. If you post it somewhere, the least you can do is credit me by at least including a link to my blog or something. Bonus points if you ask me first before reposting my art, but I understand if you’re anxious because so am I :’)
• If any of your art is featured on my blog, as an icon or something and you don’t want me to use your art, please tell me!!! Message me privately or contact me in some way and please let me know that you want your art taken down. As a fellow artist, I understand wanting other people to not use your art (although I am personally fine with it as long as proper credit is given,) but if you’re more strict about it than I am, that’s totally okay too! Just let me know, and I’ll stop using your art immediately, will delete all icons I have of your art, as well as delete every single instance of your art being used on this blog.
• That being said, if you’re following me, please let me know if I’m doing something that’s making you uncomfortable or is breaking one of your rules!! I do read the rules pages of everyone, but I’m human and forget things, and I’m not a mind reader either ;~; I care, so please tell me if I’m ever doing anything bad
• You can reply to any of my open starters at any time! Even if they’re a year old! Even if other people have already replied to it! My open starters are open for a reason, and we don’t have to be mutuals for you to reply to them either :’)
—
–STUFF YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND–
• I am of age to do smut, but Kris is a minor so that is a no for this blog! There will occasionally be sex jokes, but that’s about it. No explicit smut in this house.
• This blog is not a spoiler-free one. I will not tag roleplays with spoilers, but anything else will be tagged with Deltarune Spoilers
• I’m alright with roleplaying nsfw in general, minus smut. Gore, violence, and generally dark roleplays are cool with me. I love angsty things just as much as I love fluff ;w; Speaking of gore, you’re more than welcome to fight/harm/injure my muse to any extent! You don’t even have to ask! Come in and fight this gremlin tbh! If you want to do a rp where they die, however, please dm me first.
• I prefer not to roleplay with personals, unless you are someone I know from school or something like that. Personals in general are allowed to follow me too! However! Personals are not allowed to reblog roleplays, in character posts, or ooc posts especially if I say in the tags that I’m going to delete the post later. Only things that are tagged with my “online reblogs” or “musings” or "art tag" tags are okay to reblog. Headcanon posts are not okay to reblog unless I say otherwise.
• Like spamming is okay! I very occasionally lose roleplays, and getting lots of notes from likes are never a factor for that, for me personally. If I lose a roleplay, it’s mostly just because I forgot, so that’s really a “me” thing. I’m usually very good at keeping track of who I’m roleplaying with and how many ongoing threads I have, and I reply pretty consistently, so just remind me if I haven’t responded after five or more days (as stated in one of the above rules)! And I like it when people like my posts! It lets me know that you like my blog and the stuff I post, and it makes me happy :’)
• If you are an OC, I will assume our muses have never met unless you plan ahead with me what their relationship is like.
• That being said, characters who have already interacted in canon will know each other. Unless the roleplay takes place in a different point of time and we are staging their first meeting, of course.
• Kris will be pretty meta sometimes. They are aware of who Players are (they're definitely not fond of them other than the few good players they've met), and they know they live in the game world, and are aware of alternate universes and things of that nature.
• Kris is nonbinary on this blog. Although, I don’t care if you refer to them as a boy or a girl (Kris personally will care if you refer to them as a girl though, because they usually Don’t like that). Their order of preference for pronouns is they/he/she, although they will definitely like you more if you use exclusively they/them pronouns. I respect all headcanons about Kris’ gender, and same goes for any Frisks and Charas. If you play a KFC kid, gendered or not, I will use the pronouns they want used, and I do hope that you use they/them pronouns for my Kris. I personally will default to using they/them for other Krises, Frisks, and Charas unless specified on your blog. No discourse about this, please.
• Doubles are welcome to interact too! Of course they are, considering the Kris Squad. I’m also cool with interacting with and following multiple blogs who portray the same character other than Krises as well!
• This blog will not have mains. However, the only “main” they really have is the Berdly over at @berdbrainx. That Berdly originates in their timeline in the “main verse.” Other than him, they will not have any specific version of a muse that they’ll talk about in threads, unless the thread is specifically about that one muse for some reason. For Deltarune non-Kris blogs, they will typically be the Kris in your universe unless you already have a Kris main or you talk about it with me beforehand. Doubles of Kris will be treated as alternates. In their “main verse” in spontaneous roleplays/asks/replies to in-character posts (online roleplays), they reside in their own separate timeline. It’s a classic timeline that doesn’t have any other muses in it, so they don’t have a specific blog’s Susie, or Noelle, or other character that is from their own timeline. So they will treat your muse as if they are an alternate of their own timeline’s counterpart of them.
• I’m pretty lenient with short replies. Don’t feel pressured to match the length if my reply gets long! Multi-para (usually 2-5 paragraphs) is my go-to for roleplays, so I usually do long replies by default.
• Adding onto that, I honestly don’t mind one-liners. Of course, in crack/online roleplays it’s fine but I’m okay with it in serious roleplays too. I prefer it if you don’t give me one-liners, but hey, as long as I’m still having fun with the roleplay anyway, it’s cool with me! I understand not being able to think of anything to write, so just as long as you don’t give me one or two words as your reply like ‘He smiled.’ or ’*laughs*’, I’ll be cool with it. Put at least some effort even if you’re only gonna give me one sentence, otherwise I’ll drop the rp once it becomes a repeat offense.
• I will not change the formatting of my roleplays to fit yours. I’m comfortable with sticking to only paragraph style roleplays, thank you very much. Feel free to keep formatting your own posts though, because I think formatting looks really cool! I just don’t want to format my posts, however. I will not go all out with formatting my own posts with all that cool ‘small text’, and indents, and bolding and all that. The most I ever do with my formatting is italics for emphasis on certain words, and using icons.
• I tend to move roleplays from asks onto its own post. If I send you an ask meme and you answer it, I'll respond by making a new post, tagging you, and linking to your reply. Until formatting on asks are fixed, I will answer any asks sent to me in a new text post rather than asks.
• I accept any sort of asks! If they aren’t answered after a while, either I don’t know how to answer it or I might be drawing it out and I am a very slow artist- Sorry-
• Feel free to tag me in any of those tagging memes! I don’t mind and I think they’re pretty fun to do! ^^
• Adding onto the above rule, you’re more than welcome to send me those chain asks like “send this to 10 roleplayers you think are really great!” because it’s super duper nice that you would think to send one to me! But don’t expect me to send them to other people, because I won’t :’) my anxiety won’t let me, so I’m sorry-
• If I follow you, that means I’ve already read all of your rules. I might not send the codephrase, though, because most of the time I get very anxious over having to send things like that. I’m very sorry–! But if I follow you then chances are that I have definitely read them before following- If you choose not to trust me on this, I understand.
• I generally follow every rp blog that follows me, but I might not follow some people back for a few reasons. Some might be for the type of content you post on your blog, but I am still non-selective! I will roleplay with anyone who asks (unless you wanna rp gross things or you’re a mean person,,,, like your muse can be as much of a dick as you want, that’s no problem but don’t be gross to other people as yourself) and if I do roleplay with you, I will be more likely to follow you as well.
• Adding onto the above rule, however, please respect that it’s nothing personal if I ever unfollow you either! It’s not that I hate you or anything, but if you haven’t followed me back and you’re a private rp blog, or if we’re mutuals but never really roleplay, our muses just don’t click, you spam stuff that I don’t want to see on my dash, or you’ve become inactive for years and/or don’t interact with me anymore, there’s nothing wrong with that! We can still be friends but I prefer to have all the people I follow be potential rp partners. Feel free to follow me on my personal, @briightskies, if you still wanna keep in touch but not rp :’)
—
–ABOUT THIS BLOG–
• This blog is OC, multiverse, and crossover friendly! I love OCs and have many of my own tbh, you’re all more than welcome to come rp with me!!
• I’ll also rp with fandoms I’m not into either, as long as you have a good about section for your character, which also indicates how you portray them (any headcanons or AUs you have that aren’t canon, or whether you portray them as canonly as possible, unless they’re OCs of course since a regular about page is a given) and I’ll probably look up other things about that fandom in its wiki if I don’t know what something is anyway.
• This blog is multiship! So any relationships my muse is involved in, are in different timelines unless specified. Poly relationships aren’t bad though, just saying. I ship pretty much anything unless it’s incest or if they’re children paired with someone a lot older. Selfcest is fine too. Because Kris is a minor, they won’t really get intimate with their partners, but romantic stuff is a-okay.
• I also only ship with chemistry. My muses need to get to know yours first, so don’t get disappointed if they only see you as a friend/acquaintance at first and has no intention of pursuing a romantic relationship with your muse. Give my muse reasons to care about your muse and let the feelings develop naturally, and don’t ever force your muse on mine. Unless it’s to mess with them, or whatever other reason. Unrequited stuff is absolutely okay with me too!
• I will tag common triggers and such, but don’t be afraid to tell me if you have something you want me to tag! I promise I’ll remember to tag it from then on. I do not have any known triggers myself. Any trigger warning tags will be written as “tw; ____” with a semi-colon, not a colon. If I feel like something should be tagged as a trigger but I’m not sure what to tag it exactly, I’ll just tag it as “tw” as a sort of catch-all tag.
| Requested tagged triggers:
tw; gore
tw; contagious diseases
tw; self harm
tw; child abuse
tw; spiders
tw; blood
tw; homestuck
tw; fnaf
tw; drugs
tw; smoking
tw; alcohol
tw; needles
• I will only talk through the IM system ooc. If you send me a message through there, I will not respond with ooc brackets ((these things)) because I will automatically assume you know that you’re talking to the mun. I do not do roleplays on there.
-
Thank you for reading this really long list of rules! It means a lot if you did!
There’s no password, because I’m also anxious with those for other people’s blogs as I said above. But if you would like to interact with me, you can shoot me an ask directed to my muse, or like one of my starter call posts at any time (also feel free to re-like those posts so I can make another starter for you at any time!) for me to write you a starter!

Finally got around to make this post. Watched Black Panther, was amazing, and there are many people who have already said what they think about the film. I mostly want to express my feeling from someone who is African (born form Ghanian parents), who grew up around the African community and culture and have been and stayed in Ghana multiple times, and there are so many things that I love about the movie specifically because of all of that. Still gonna say that I’m talking for everyone with similar history as me and that this is mostly personal.
Also, minor spoilers, if you are one of those 4 people who still hasn’t watched the film.
African accent:
It wasn’t perfect, but I was still happy about the fact that they used an accent instead of speaking standard American/British English. I feel like that there is this connotation that not speaking standard English makes you stupid, and I realized that even adults have these insecurities when my father told me to learn to speak with a British accent (something I’m totally not interested in, and probably can’t do anyway). Having an international blockbuster portraying a bunch of African people, speaking what can be mostly considered as “broken English”, being intelligent and all, and not ridiculized for the way they speak was really nice.
Futurism, culture and tradition:
For some reason, I went to the movie not expecting much in world-building, other than your standard utopian, grey-looking cityscape. Imagine my surprise when I find out that instead of that I got... an open market. It was so bright, colourful, and it felt like something I could easily find in Ghana. I also liked W’Kabi’s tribe farm, even tho it was probably there mostly to deceive foreigners and farm kick-ass battle rhinos, holy shit I loved them. Long story short, it was amazing how they didn’t sacrifice culture and individuality for futurism and technology, giving Wakanda some personality. Good, overly futuristic, greyscale cities devoid of any identity are overrated anyway.
African fashion:
Going back to the market scenes, those outfits were the BOMB. The royalty and the guards were put in Afro-punk/Afro-futuristic attires, which I’m not saying is not cool, but I was expecting that, so it was mostly no biggie. The feeling that I had while watching the random passengers on the street, however, or even the outfits that son and father were wearing during the scene in which T’Challa goes on the ancestral plane, or during the scene where everyone was directing themselves to the coronation. It was like watching the FashionistaGH catwalk insertions on ABNtv before Ghanian News or going to an African church on Sunday, or to an African wedding, or an African party, or- you get my drill, it felt warm mostly because of the colours, I hate unsaturated movies and familiar.
-
Other things that I loved, more related to the story in general.
Killmonger:
And here we come with Erik: this guy is now one of my favourite antagonists, and he is one of the few villains that I felt some sort of sympathy or empathy for. He was the living embodiment of “cool motive, still murder”. He had good points: Wakanda could easily have helped the bordering nations, avoiding all atrocities inflicted upon them, even without fully opening their borders, but instead, they decided to sit down on their comfortable thrones, while everyone around them was getting tortured and killed. Erik’s anger and frustration were understandable, however, his actions were in no way justifiable. Like dude, causing a global war and colonizing the colonizers? Just no. There is so much wrong with this plan that I don’t even know were to start. But still, I couldn’t stop myself from whispering a “no” when I saw him getting stabbed by T’Challa at the end, and seeing his face being hit with the realization of what he was doing ‘till now, just broke me. If only the adults in his life made the right decisions, he wouldn’t have wasted his life and potential in pursuing such hateful goals. Knowing his story, inside I wanted him to stay alive and maybe turn a new life, but I knew that wouldn’t have worked for someone who had committed so many atrocities (who even seemed to enjoy killing people) and he deserved a punishment, so, as he said, it was either prison or death, and, of course, he chose the easiest way out.
Erik as a villain within himself was great, but one thing that made me actually love his character is the fact that he actually has a positive impact on the story, which is something you really don’t see often from a villain. Killmonger appearance doesn't tell T’Challa that outsiders are dangerous or that they should be wary of enemies or whatever, instead, the encounter with this enemy tells the new king that, to avoid making monsters like that to be born again is important to help the people that could easily turn to the wrong side due to what they may experience in life.
Also, it raises a lot of issues concerning the relationship between Black Africans and Black African-Americans, but that’s a completely different conversation that I won’t have here.
Informality:
I hate overly formal royal families narrative and thank God we had none of that in the film. Seeing everyone roasting the new king, right after he sets foot on his nation was everything I didn’t know I wanted.
Sibling relationship:
Don’t get me even started with this, I’ve always been weak when it comes to sibling relationships in fiction, and Shuri and T’Challa were just perfections. Thank you, Marvel.
Shuri:
This beautiful little kid. If the moment she flips off her brother didn’t settle it for me, the instance where she roasts him for wearing African dads’ open toe sandals was the moment I decided that I was going to protect this science nerd, who uses bad puns and painfully outdated memes, with my life.
Nakia, Okoye and the Dora Milaje:
I think crying is the only way I can use to express the feelings I have when I see any of these women doing anything on-screen. I mean, name me something more iconic than Okoye snatching her wig so she could use it to blind an enemy.
M’Baku:
Do I really need to say more?
Bonus
Erik and anime:
Thank God MBJ is such a anime trash because now everyone headcanons Erik as a weeb, and it is just hilarious to think about him making references, while everyone in Wakanda is really confused.

4, 9, 17, 26?
For the writer ask meme
4. Name three authors that were influential to your work and tell why
Neil Gaiman influenced the way I go in-depth within narrative I guess? I remember admiring that when I read his works. Douglas Adams taught me that I could do whatever the hell I wanted with words and imagery, and he’s directly responsible for my comedic style being the way it is also.
As for a final one I ggggggggguess you could say that it’s a tie between Yoko Taro and Hideo Kojima actually? They’re game devs but their storytelling and ideas/fixations resonate very much with the type of stories that I want to tell and the delivery I wish to apply
Also my style’s mostly been influenced by multiple fic writers like nikki.ntm (Last Train, All Roads Lead Home (all of these are AkuSai lmao)) and demonfox38, they’re honourable mentions
9. Do you set yourself deadlines?
I used to, when I was younger and had less responsibilities on my head (lmfao). For A Name I tried to stick to weekly updates if at all possible, but now I just try to write whenever the workload is small or when I have the brainpower to do so at home. Jobs kill never get a job
17. Favorite AU to write
I am a slut for shameless X-Files AUs sometimes, but my favourite type of AU to write is the type that explores something about canon and twists it in its axis to change the entirety of the final outcome. I also like writing anything containing pacts (so like, fantasy settings, also modern fantasy a lot) and anything referring to duality
26. Story you're most proud of
I’m very proud of how far I’ve written (and planned!) A Name Is A Powerful Thing (Castlevania), even if it’s on hold due to work. I also love The First Meets The Last (Castlevania) and still think that, even if outdated and part of a fandom I no longer indulge in, Parental Figures (Overwatch) being my first huge breakthrough and a fic that got me mentioned in a weekly blog post about fic is still super humbling

Quick Critique: Guacamelee 2
I highly recommend playing Guacamelee 1 first, which is a-okay because it's one of my favorite PS3 games. The intro to G2 is a bit on the slow side but by the time you hit the first dungeon, things are popping off and the challenge rooms are right up there with the ones from the end of Guac 1. When Guacamlee decides to get difficult, it has an amazing ability to be teeth-grindingly frustrating while making you laugh and have fun at the same time. G1 had hard bonus rooms, but it was a fair hard because you can see what they're going for and what they want you to do, you just need to up your skills and be able to do it. For a game about tight platforming and really impactful upgrade abilities, the first new ability in G2 is pretty bad. It's not fun, it's finicky, and you don't have complete control over it at all times. The best sequences the game has are you expertly stringing together your moves to weave through intricate hazards but the new power is a fling move that's based on your angle away from the grapple point so it feels... physics-y when all your other moves are super tight. How far away you can be from a grapple point to activate the move feels random or unresponsive at the worst of times and it leaves you repeating puzzles because it wouldn't activate at the proper angle and you dropped to your doom or flung yourself too high and into spikes. G2's hardest challenge is a heavily timed segment using the fling move over and over but I died over and over because the character would grapple the air instead of grabbing the grapple point or the grapple point behind me would activate instead of the one I wanted to grab. The entire segment lacked the tension of the original Tule Tree because I felt like I was fighting the game and controls rather than the objective. You can't customize your controls and the default isn't great. Part of the problem is that there are just too many controls and combinations of buttons. You have multiple special moves mapped to the same button, which is fine and works well, but then you have a different state to morph into and that has its own set of special moves, and then there's a second special move button related to wall moves, and changing dimensions on top of that. The controls are a mess. If all they did was cut out the chicken state, I think I'd be cool with it. It was a funny joke in the first game but now that they've tried to turn it into a major gameplay element, it's just more clutter than fun.
The art is a mixed blessing. Drinkbox is up to some sorcery with how amazing they are at applying lighting effects to 2D objects. The game just looks fantastic and awash in colors and sparkles everywhere you look. But that also means a lot of scenes are overloaded with lights and objects fighting for your focus. You'll frequently run into hazards that are hard to pick out or get hit by a projectile that passed behind some effect or decoration and you couldn't see it until it was too late. there will be fights where multiple enemies with different kinds of shields, fire, and explosions or other VFX will all overlap and you lose track of it all and can't see your character. You just kind of button mash and hope you make your way out for a breather.
The new story and characters are good, but they don't have the impact of the original villains. Every member of Calaca's crew was memorable and Calaca himself was a fun really evil villain. In G2, only one member of the bad guy's crew is any fun and Salvador himself barely feels like an entity. You never see him do anything other than posture. For the vast vast majority of the game, your task is to hunt down a dying man. Yeah, he's evil and all but if you just stalled, he'd probably drop dead on his own. Not much a menacing figure. The overall story leans heavy on multiverse shenanigans but they don't have much fun with it. It just leads to lots of Family Guy quality references and doubles down on the goat guy, who continues to be just the worst. They do let you switch costumes practically from the start and you get to play as X'tabay! But her hair is tied up in a bun! BOOO! She has amazing video game hair, let it flow like the majestic waterfall that it is.
As mentioned, Guacamelee 2 is still loaded down with references again, but they're more heavily video gamey than just memes this time so that's... better. In the first ten minutes, they hit you with Limbo to Bad Dudes to Double Dragon to River City Ransom to Bad Dudes AGAIN. It's a really bad first impression ,but it thankfully cools down a little bit after that but there's still a steady stream of it everywhere you go. When you're free of the references, the game is actually very funny so I don't know why they're leaning on these lazy references. Guacamelee has one of the most likable representations of Satan and there are characters whose whole bit is that they tell terrible skeleton-based puns but those bad puns are funnier than any of the TV and game references crammed in. There's a whole area devoted to mocking the players that complained about the use of memes in the first game but... most of the complaints are legitimate. There were too many memes, they weren't funny, they were outdated by the time most people played the game, and the rest of the writing was better than relying on a Robot Chicken level reference to an Internet picture. None of those complaints are invalid but the game expects you to take the developer's side and think the people telling the company to not use memes are the ones that are wrong and jerks.
The writing feels less like a celebration of Mexican culture than the first game. G1 felt like it was honoring Mexican lore but having some loving fun with it but G2 falls back on stereotypes and tacos a bit too quickly.
I got every Trophy save for two. One requires you to juggle an enemy six times in a row with a specific move, but if you've maxed out all your skills all the enemies die before you get to six hits. The other trophy is for beating the game on hard, but... I don't know if I really want to play through it a second time. Maybe I'll get bored on the weekend and get the Platinum, but Guac 1 left me wanting more and Guac 2 wore out its welcome. I was able to beat it 100% in just under 9 and a half hours. That puts me at number 22 on the Speed Run leaderboards but the game wouldn't let me upload my time. Even though I'm connected to the Internet, it keeps telling me I'm not and prompting me to connect. If the game won't let me upload a score because I don't have PS Plus, that is some serious BS. Every dungeon seemed like you could cut out a third of it and it would be a lot better.
G2 is a good game, but it's not as good as the first one. That's still good praise. Guacamelee 1 is one of the best PS3 games, so for the sequel to be good but not one of the best, they still made a fine game that's worth your time. But where I'd recommend Guacamelee 1 to anybody to show why this is my favorite genre, I'd only recommend Guac 2 to somebody that's already a fan. They succumbed to the pressures of a sequel. Instead of just taking what was great about the first game and just making more of it (which is all I wanted), they added extra features that weren't as refined and the game feels a bit cluttered for it, but then the maps are so much bigger that I was discouraged from doing multiple mid-game clean-ups for chests and upgrades. You can't just make your map bigger without having more fast travel and a better way to track progress. The music is good, but all the best tracks are just remixes of the first game. I regularly listen to G1's soundtrack, but with G2 it's hard to pick out what's new and different. Guac 1 just needed to get rid of the memes, have the final boss fights not be total trash, and improve the late game combat so it wasn't just slapping shields on existing enemies and pumping up their health. For all the areas that G2 could have improved upon the original, they ignored those things and didn't fix the original's main problems.

Let me tell you about these things I like to call “Rancid Garbage Questionnaires”.
Let’s say that you’re a bright, young high school student looking to enter the workforce and Do Things to get some delicious moolah. You go through the usual troubles, entering your name, address, phone number, and other potentially relevant information into various text boxes. You painstakingly recount every detail of what little previous employment you have, and you stretch your brain thinking of potential references you can list that aren’t just your mom’s friends. But finally, after what feels like hours of typing, reviewing, and uploading, it is time.
You take a deep breath, pray to whatever god or gods are feeling particularly friendly that day, and click “submit”. Whew, you tell yourself, at least that’s over. You get up to stretch your aching fingers, your mind already thinking about the Mario game you’re about to play downstairs when...
The Rancid Garbage Questionnaire rears its ugly head.
The Rancid Garbage Questionnaire is an employment toll designed by grouchy old geezers as a panicked response to the Internet Age. The basic idea is that, since applicants no longer have to physically hoof it to a physical store using their squishy, physical bodies, there will be a tremendous deluge of qualified applicants. Now, a responsible employer would take the time to interview every one of those applicants, but no one has time for that in today’s dystopian cyberpunk society, so now we have to get the robots involved.
Oh, no, not a real robot, that you can punch in the face when they get on your nerves; that would cost money, and no employer wants to do that. No, the only way that the interview process can be automated is with tests. Multiple-choice tests about subjects that have no real answer.
The first part is simple in appearance but absurd in its execution: you’re given a list of opinionated statements, and you’re told to describe how much you agree or disagree with them by filling in the relevant bubble—“strongly agree”, “strongly disagree”, etc.
These statements initially seem like they’re easy to agree to; why yes, I would agree that “My friends think I am a valuable team player”! But then you come across statements that are seemingly designed to incriminate you: “I am known to anger easily”, “I consider myself to be a quiet and shy person”, “I often get frustrated”, etc.
On one hand, it should be my duty to answer these questions honestly and accurately, so as to give the creepy A.I. that will transmit my responses to my employer a good understanding of just what kind of schmuck they’re hiring. On the other, it is also my job to make myself look better than every other applicant.
So with that in mind…who in their right mind would say that they “strongly agree” to saying that they “often get frustrated”? I mean, a reasonable employer might realize that everyone with a pulse gets frustrated frequently, but I doubt whatever algorithm that this test is using will be so understanding. Same with being shy; I’m one of those guys who is about as charismatic as a brick wall when I’m in a new social environment, but give me a week and I’ll be cracking jokes and referencing outdated memes with the best of ‘em. But God forbid that I have a chance to explain it before the test judges me into oblivion for not being a social butterfly.
Eventually, this madness stops, only to be replaced by an even worse variant: The Hypothetical Scenario. In this portion of the Rancid Garbage Questionnaire, the test describes some situation that needs to be resolved, and you’re supposed to choose which of four or five options you would choose. Typically these involve a belligerent customer or conflicting orders from multiple supervisors.
What really grinds my grits about this section is the little message at the start of it, where the test somehow insists that there is no “right” answer to these questions. That changes this from a test like the kind that 16 years of public education has granted me mastery over into some sort of completely unfamiliar nonsense. All my life, I have been trained to look at these types of questions and systematically eliminate the incorrect ones; now I’m supposed to pick the one that, uh, feels better than the rest?
But that’s not the worst of it. Oh no. See, the long and short of the matter is that I should be asking my employer these questions. How can I, a dumb kid who never worked a quote-unquote “real” job in my life, be expected to know how to handle unusual customer requests or thieving co-workers? I am absolutely willing to be taught this information, but it’s being held like some kind of trade secret! Surely employers would benefit by teaching their employees about company policy on the job itself, so why am I being quizzed on information I cannot be expected to know until then?
After what at least felt like a full hour longer than you intended to spend on one simple, stupid, minimum-wage-paying job application, you finally reach the end of the Rancid Garbage Questionnaire, and with it you finally, finally have applied to a grand total of one job. You look back on the experience with confusion and regret. You think to yourself, Should I have really chosen “contact my supervisor” for that one? Or, on second thought, I don’t think I do work well under pressure, but it is too late.
No one will ever mention this application again, even if you get an interview. Somewhere, an incomprehensible algorithm has already sorted through its findings and assigned your personality to some specific, quantifiable value, and has lined up your results against other applicants’ who answered the questionnaire more favorably than you.
But you don’t know that. You’re too busy looking up another store to apply to. You tell yourself, hey, at least I know how to answer these types of questions now.
You are wrong. And you will never know why.

• Assume the majority of this blog’s interactions will take place over social media. However, I’m still interested in doing face to face interactions for this muse, upon request, or if you send in an ask meme starter prompt! If you’re not interested in blog-style roleplaying, that’s alright. This Frisk is connected to the player known as Zenith (@xceancyes) so some lore stuff might happen on this blog if you want to follow along with online shenanigans.
• In any face to face interactions: if you start getting bored with the roleplay, feel free to drop it and/or end it. We can always start up another thread in the future.
• Don’t reblog a f2f thread you’re not part of. This should go without being said, of course. Personals will be immediately hardblocked, and rp blogs will receive a warning.
• Please know that any in character post is okay to reblog or reply to if we’re mutuals! But out of character posts are not okay to reblog, unless stated otherwise, or it is a promo or art I’ve done.
—
–STUFF YOU SHOULD KEEP IN MIND–
• I am of age to do smut, but Frisk is definitely not! They are a baby!! No smut in this house.
• This blog is not a spoiler-free one.
• I’m alright with roleplaying nsfw in general, minus smut. Gore, violence, and generally dark roleplays are cool with me. It should be, considering this is a genocide Frisk anyway. I love angsty things just as much as I love fluff ;w; Plus, their first instinct to seeing a monster now is to kill them, so they’ll probably fight any monster muses on sight. Speaking of gore, you’re more than welcome to fight/harm/injure my muse to any extent! You don’t even have to ask! If you want to do a rp where they die, however, please dm me first. (this rule is for f2f interactions)
• I prefer not to interact with personals. Personals in general are allowed to follow me though! However! Personals are not allowed to reblog roleplays, in character posts, or ooc posts especially if I say in the tags that I’m going to delete the post later. Only things that are tagged with my “reblogs” or “musings” or “art tag” tags are okay to reblog.
• Frisk will be pretty meta sometimes. They are aware of who Players are (they’re definitely not fond of them considering what their’s made them do), and they know they live in the game world. Although they are not aware of alternate universes and things of that nature yet.
• Like I said above, Frisk is connected to the player known as Zenith. He was the player who controlled their adventure three years ago.
• Frisk is nonbinary on this blog. Although, I don’t care if you refer to them as a boy or a girl (Frisk has no preference). Their order of preference for pronouns is they/she/he, although they will definitely like you more if you use exclusively they/them pronouns. I respect all headcanons about Frisk’s gender, and same goes for any Krises and Charas. If you play a KFC kid, gendered or not, I will use the pronouns they want used, and I do hope that you use they/them pronouns for my Frisk. I personally will default to using they/them for other Krises, Frisks, and Charas unless specified on your blog. No discourse about this, please.
• Doubles are welcome to interact too! I’m also cool with interacting with and following multiple blogs who portray the same character other than Frisks as well!
• This blog will not have mains. Of course most of the monsters in their timeline are dead, other than Flowey, Asgore and Sans(?), and any monster who managed to evacuate.
• Regarding face to face interactions: I’m pretty lenient with short replies.
I do not currently have any icons for this blog, and I will not go all out with formatting my own posts with all that cool ‘small text’, and indents, and bolding and all that. The most I ever do with my formatting is italics for emphasis on certain words.
• I tend to move f2f roleplays from asks onto its own post. If I send you an ask meme and you answer it, I’ll respond by making a new post, tagging you, and linking to your reply.
Some might be for the type of content you post on your blog. I will interact with most people (unless you wanna rp gross things or you’re a mean person,,,, like your muse can be as much of a dick as you want, that’s no problem but don’t be gross to other people as yourself) and if I do roleplay with you, I will be more likely to follow you as well.
Feel free to follow me on my personal, @briightskies if you still wanna keep in touch but not rp :’)
—
–ABOUT THIS BLOG–
• This blog is OC and crossover friendly! I love OCs and have many of my own tbh, you’re all more than welcome to come interact with me!!
• This blog is semi-selective with blog post interactions. I’ll mostly just interact with people I’m following, but I’m definitely open to interacting with other rp blogs too. Regarding f2f interactions, I am non-selective!
• I’ll also interact with fandoms I’m not into either, as long as you have a good about section for your character, which also indicates how you portray them (any headcanons or AUs you have that aren’t canon, or whether you portray them as canonly as possible, unless they’re OCs of course since a regular about page is a given) and I’ll probably look up other things about that fandom in its wiki if I don’t know what something is anyway.
• I really shouldn’t have to say this, but I feel like I’ll need to anyway. I will not be shipping with this muse! They’re not in the best mental space for relationships at the moment, and they are also Too Young to be dealing with anything more than small crushes at kids their age.
• This blog might contain triggering content. I will tag common triggers and such, but don’t be afraid to tell me if you have something you want me to tag!
Requested tagged triggers:
none at the moment
• I will only talk through the IM system ooc. If you send me a message through there, I will not respond with ooc brackets ((these things)) because I will automatically assume you know that you’re talking to the mun. I do not do roleplays or ic interactions on there.
-
Thank you for reading this really long list of rules! It means a lot if you did!
There’s no password, because I’m also anxious with those for other people’s blogs as I said above. But if you would like to interact with me, you can shoot me an ask directed to my muse, or @ them or something!
