Hello everyone! My name is ravio and I use she/her pronouns but i really don't care if you forget lol. This used to be a sky blog focusing on both playing sky, being critical about sky, and the like. But I recently got bored of playing sky and sort of lost interest. So now this is gonna be a general fandom blog with a main focus on Zelda cuz TOTK owns my ass right now and the hype for it is getting me through for now. Aight, so I will be using my rather limited “platform” to rant and talk about right-wing bullshit because at this point I’m just annoyed and I’ll rant a little on my fucking housekeeper who’s your store shelf conservative that is #definitelynotanazi and #mediacritical.

The first statement he did was… fair but still extremely shitty. He said: “When you live in my country, you have to learn that country’s language.”, which is – fine. Yeah, I get that this is an actual problem of immigration but here’s a thing: how do you learn a language if you don’t get the opportunity or means to? Don’t get me wrong, our migration system does do a lot to teach people how to speak the native tongue, but you need time and resources to do that – which is usually lacking when you get into a new country. You need a teacher or at least material to teach and you need the time to sit down and do that. And the person he was talking about didn’t. You cannot ask immigrants to not put a strain on the welfare state, to learn a new language and not take away all the jobs. It’s paradoxical and can literally only be solved by closing up the borders.

The second thing he said, that really pissed me off was what he said after I went: “Aight, stay healthy and stay home!”, which kinda has become my standard goodbye to people by now. He went: “I don’t get sick anyway.”, which is… a ouff statement. Or.. how do I put this in academic writing terms? [CITATION BADLY NEEDED]. I answered, giving him the benefit of the doubt that a 40+ year old white guy with a heart condition has an invulnerable immune system: “Well, then you can still make others sick by transferring the virus.”

Please. Brace yourself for what happened afterwards and what made me feel really sick.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!

I cannot begin to tell you how wrong that answer was, like, it sounds like something 15-year-old me would have said to be edgy and sarcastic. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.      

Okay, so. Let’s unravel that monstrosity. And start with the first implication.

Implication 1:  

There is apparently a desirable number of patients to have in a hospital. Like, hospitals can have “not enough patients”, as if that would be something bad? As if there is a goal of the hospital industry to fill all of those beds.

Implication 2:  

I mean, I see the intend of saying: “We’re putting too much money into health care”, which is- YIKES. And there are, in fact, not efficient enough relocations of resources in our health care system. We have a huge problem due to demographic shifts and we do not, in fact, have the resources to tackle this pandemic.[1]

Implication 3:  

And most worrying to me: “I am willing to put other people in hospitals and risk their lives” because of some stupid reasoning. This is not an acceptable stand. I cannot even start to tell you how much is wrong with that.

Anyway, I answered, being baffled by that response after a short minute: “That’s not true. My mom works in the hospital.”, and he then proceeded to reply: “Well, let’s not talk about that.”

Ah, yes, I have to admit defeat on the market place of ideas.

So. Yeah. That was all of my rant. I’m sorry, this is not really thoughtful, it’s just… I don’t know, that bothered me a lot. And it’s kind of a reminder that even being a cis-male, white housekeeper that gets way too much for not doing his job, you cannot use the resources at hand to educate yourself. Really makes you think, right? I mean, if you were to live in a community with other peoples, I kind of expect you to learn about current global health crisis and pandemics.

Mike “Devotional Gaze” Pence

The VP became uber churchy after two failed political runs, one featuring an ad campaign that revealed himself to be a bigot, and it wasn’t until he picked up a radio microphone and became the calm voice of bigotry and misogyny that a career was born. Freepress sources in Indiana tell me the churchy bit became amplified after an evangelical$ bailout over a bunk family oil deal (https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2006/10/1/252402/-). Until being selected to run as VP of Scamalot, Pence was on his way out as Indianans had had enough of hi$ churchy routine. Jane Mayer of the New Yorker likens his “devotional gaze” directed at the Real Fake President as a look usually reserved for first ladies.

Sam “Weird Science” Clovis

Another wannabe politician who failed in his run for Iowa State Treasurer in 2014, Clovis had built a loopy fringe following through his conservative radio talkshow, “Impact With Sam Clovis,” where he espoused the usual info$lime found in bigoted pockets of AM radio. Clovis, not only hosted a radio show, he also blogged racist bull jive about President Barack Obama, and although he claims to be an academic, his writings reveal a tosser who calls climate change junk science and opines that legalizing same sex marriages could lead to nefarious chicanery. Now that it’s been outed Clovis talked to the Feebs about his role in RussiaGate, he withdrew his nomination for a position a grifter like he had no business being considered for in the first place: the Department of Agriculture’s chief scientist. To be sure, an anchor fomenter denier is some kinda weird science. Add sketchy to the resume and pffft.

Anthony “Ten Day$ of Infamy” Scaramucci

Aside from sperience at Goldman Sachs and “private wealth management,” Scaramucci joined Fox Business Network as a correspondent in 2014. He was fired ten days after his announcement as White House Communications Director. During his brief Scamalot stint, Scaramucci joined such White House talking heads as former Fox & Friends host, Heather Nauert, who currently serves as a spokesanchor for the State Department, and Lara Trump, who debuted her impression of a Fox propagandist for the Real Fake President’s Propaganda TV #sad.

Anyone who knew Andrew Breitbart says he’d be puking in his grave. Once Bannon, the creeper of #glitteringsteel lulz and Cambridge Analytica, took Mercer’s cash, it was on. After Mercer’s original pick for president, Ted Cruz, flopped, he assigned Creeper Bannon to MeinTrumpf and we all know how well that worked out as the global dom nature of glory hunters blasé blasé. But all you have to do to feel their erstwhile brolove is have a listen to Breitbart Radio to see how flattery directed at MeinTrumpf will get even fringe grifter$ a gig in Scamalot. Sean “Shammity” Hannity

Although Shammity doesn’t hold an official position in Scamalot, the veteran Anchor Hack serves as Chief Apologist. In that position, Shammity not only is fending off pervy accusations of his own, but British government regulators just ruled his infoshow breached impartiality rules. In addition, his creepy coverage of the Roy Moore creeper-circus resulted in Keurig Coffee pulling ads off the Shammity Show today. Although I’m no fan of throwaway living, and prefer a French press with no filter or single use components, I do applaud businesses withdrawing support of veteran dooshe$ who assisted in turning our fathers into bigots (latest count: five advertisers have bailed). 

Remember when the boycotts aimed at his fellow anchor pervs started? Ya, turns out the shelf life on Anchor Hack$ finally expired in 2016 but America’s just batting cleanup.

Media Critic: Starting Over Again

Naging usap-usapan sa takilya ang pelikulang Starting Over Again kung saan tampok sina Toni Gonzaga (Ginny) at Piolo Pascual (Marco). Nagsimula ang kuwento ng pelikula sa pag-ibig ng isang kolehiyala sa kanyang propesor sa History. Dahil sa mga liham na ipinadala ni  Ginny kay Marco ay natutunang ibigin ng propesor ang kolehiyala. Nang makapagtapos ng Arkitekto si Ginny ay nagpasya ito na mag-aral ng master’s degree sa Barcelona.

Sa paglaon ng istorya ay hindi maikakaila sa pelikula ang mga social issues ng ating bansa. Mapapansin natin ang pag-uusap ni Ginny at ng kanyang ina sa cellphone. Nang maghiwalay ang mga magulang ni Ginny ay naninarahan na sa Barcelona ang ina nito at doon nakapangasawa muli at nagkaroon ng anak. Karamihan sa ating mga kababayan ay kumakapit sa patalim at nakikipagsapalaran sa ibang bansa dahil hindi matamo ang kasaganahan dito sa ating sariling bansa. Kung papalarin ay doon na mamumuhay at magkakapamilya. OFW o Oversea Filipino Worker kung itawag sa kanila. Doon nila mararanasan ang pagod at pagkawalay sa pamilya. My main problem with “critical of one’s interest” is that it seems people rarely do that, or when they do, they’re considered a “hater” or “bullying the creator”. How’s it fair some fans get to  “enjoy things” while fans who may be affected by certain content dont?
