Molenaars kindermeel, wie is er niet mee groot geworden? In 1888 was Piet Molenaar met de pelmolen van De Duinmeier, bezig om allerlei (maal)klusjes aan te nemen om zijn hoofd boven water te houden. Door de productie van stoommachines van de familie Laan, was het jammer genoeg niet meer lonend om door te gaan in de gerstpellerij. Dat was de reden voor meneer Molenaar om naast zijn andere klusjes, ook rijst te gaan pellen. Pieter Molenaar had een huisarts als vaste klant. Hij vroeg hem om wat rijst te malen, zodat de huisarts een papje kon maken voor een ziek kindje. Molenaar ging aan de slag met een hele fijne molen om dit klusje te klaren, door het fijne malen kreeg hij een soort meel. Het zieke kindje knapte gelukkig daardoor snel op. Daarna ging alles in een stroomversnelling en klopten er niet alleen andere huisartsen, maar ook particulieren bij meneer Molenaar aan. Al snel kreeg hij opdrachten uit de hele Zaanstreek. Door dit succes kon Pieter Molenaar zijn 'Kindermeel' in een fabriek laten produceren. Dit recept is tot op de dag van vandaag een geheim gebleven. Dit bordje is nieuw geproduceerd.
