It's hard to say if they're really a "devil + devil" couple. Adeline isn't really the devil. It's complicated! She's capable of horrible things, she has assisted Micolash in human experimentation, and basically prayed to Kos that Yharnam would go underwater (with people). She's insane. But she has a drop of kindness that attracted Maria to her. Micolash has that drop too, which is why he is cared for and loved by Damian. Both Micolash and Adeline are crazy, with their own ambitions and dreams and pasts, both are tired of the people who love them and want personal space and freedom of action. The difference is that Micolash has given his heart to science and Adeline has given hers to him. Micolash felt attracted to her, but fell truly in love with her only when she was gone (after almost 10 years!)
