It heralds an exciting project this year being run and hosted by the wonderful people at @megaloprintstudio who will be visiting the beautiful #jerrabomberrawetlands nearby and then making prints about this very special wetland to exhibit and then join the Portfolio. Jerrabomberra is the regular summer home of numerous Latham’s Snipe, one of our more elusive migratory shorebirds that overwinters here then breeds on the island of Hokkaido in northern Japan. If you’d like to be part of this exciting new iteration of the Overwintering Project, please visit the @megaloprintstudio website and fill out the EOI. You MUST be a Megalo member, and you need to sign up by January 27!! The exhibition will be held in the Megalo Print Studio Gallery, and will run 9 September - 28 October to coincide with World Migratory Bird Day. Experimenting with transferring an image from a photocopy to a litho stone using eucalyptus oil. Thankyou @maxgosling at @megaloprintstudio This is the final artwork with some tusche painted on (the dark squares). With screen printing you kind of know what is going to happen, although there are some surprises. With Lithography anything could happen. This is only my 3rd litho print, I'm still getting my head around it. Printing fun at @megaloprintstudio with my buddy @busynothings 💜 This is my latest attempt at a CMYK screenprint. This is the first colour of the 4, cyan. It is a very technical print process from separation to exposure and washing out the screen to printing. And quite frankly I cannot do this alone. So thankyou Annette and Megalo staff. This weekend I'm teaching a two day etching workshop at @megaloprintstudio in Canberra.
