The images show the development of an improvised screenprint, made using both paper & photo-stencils & printing with opaque and transparent colours. They show the process of layering 9 colours, beginning with analogous colours - yellow, yellow-orange, mustard yellow & deep yellow, followed by opaque white & orange pink. These are followed by red, light green-blue & blue-black layers.

It’s an A4 size image, printed in a small edition and is still in progress.

The prints I’m producing can easily be replicated, but no two will ever be identical; creating an authenticity to the objects. Each print is a reproduction but also an original. Do they hold the same value as the authentic collage?

Print Workshop

This was the third workshop induction, I really enjoyed this induction, Natalie makes the learning atmosphere and environment very positive and its a very calming process. I’ve done Lino Printing before and it was nice to create some again. I’ve never done etching before, it was a very interesting process and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about it.
