Sooo NRB did park run also on saturday and said he did it in 24 minutes!!! Soo here I was slowing down my runs for him, when really he is actually way faster than me.

This week I've picked up my pace to try be more where he is. Weve also made our distances longer. Today we left at 550 and I got home earlh so I might do an extra km if we continue to run this kind of pace.

I often do 6/7k and he just told me that sometimes he keeps running and makes it 10k. Cheeky bugger! I dont have enough time for that tho

Oh and I dont know if i said but at the end of the month we are going to stay in Hamilton and see my brother and also @immer-meinliebe and run a 10k event. We get a medal ;)

#good thing its freezing so i can wear a scarf

This little one is two today. I just want to tell you something about how I feel about him and his parents. When I got the call to say it’s happening and you have to come I was a ball of absolute excitement and worry, so much so I was shaking while driving the car and completely restless. I even tried talking to myself (out loud) to calm down.

When I got there I was upset. His mum was in so much pain, and I wanted to help. I couldn’t. So I just held her hand.

As time went on, his dad swapped with me and I talked to her parents. They were worried, and excited. Her Dad though was upset, he felt hopeless. Like me he couldn’t do anything. He wanted to wrap his little girl up and keep her close and tell her everything would be ok. So I held his hand.

The time was nearly here, and I sat down with his dad, her husband and talked to him. Terrified, excited, nervous. He was so in love with her, how strong she is to go through this. So I held his hand.

And this wee miracle was here and we all said hello. This thing that she did, the child she had created, I was in awe. I was so proud of her in that moment, my heart was going to burst and I felt an odd sensation, perfectly whole. We are all so proud. And our friendship cemented, in that moment I realised how much I loved her, something that even with two years has never changed. I kissed her forehead, told her I loved her then I went to him. It was the first day I got to hold this beautiful boys hand.

That friendship gave me so much more than I could ever imagine. She is and will ever be my bestfriend and her whanau, my whanau.

What I owe to her is not measurable. I am so grateful.

@immer-meinliebe I seriously want to fly up and give you a hug now because I’m in tears from writing this lol - bloody hopeless.
