Some more Meta type thoughts/questions that are far from analyses/real theories. Still learning how to search for specifics with metas and such so I guess this is just me once again throwing out a line.
Pt I. If Gabriel wasn't present when God spoke to Job...why did God's words/voice come out of Jimbriel's mouth in his mini memory trance? Aziraphale and Crowley were right there, watching Job, but they couldn't hear what God was saying. Gabriel couldn't have seen that happening, otherwise he would have seen Aziraphale and Crowley just hanging out like two old buds watching Job and God.
This doesn't feel like a memory anymore. Not just a memory. Because this wasn't just Gabriel's voice. This was Gabriel's voice and God's voice.
And of course there is Jimbriel's second memory trance in E3 that only Crowley heard, in which there is another voice in the "memory" as well - but this does not sound like God's voice/at least not Frances McDormand. I listened to it and listened to it and if it sounds like any of the Heaven people at all, it sounds most like Muriel. But it also sounds more like an American accent. So that's a big ? from me for right now.
The Earth observation files we've seen so far are apparently just images, not audio. The only full video/audio files from Heaven seem to be just things that happened in Heaven.
Pt. II. This one is really stressing me out. We keep analyzing every aspect of time in S2 because it is so prominent and seems so weird. The very prominently displayed and loudly ticking clock in the bookshop. All of the mobile phones and watches. All of the minisode/flashbacks which themselves are divergences from a linear storytelling timeline.
Twice in S2E3 Crowley says "Too late."
So here's where I got upset. Canonically we know that Crowley's Book/S1 watch shows the time "in a capital city in Another Place, where it was always one time, and that was too late."
Now of course there is the time stop theory because of the missing minutes in the final 15. So if the clock kept ticking...then time was stopped everywhere except for the bookshop? EVERYWHERE? 🧐
Crowley's only S2 time manipulation type deal we clearly saw was in S2E3 with Mr. Dalrymple - but that wasn't a time stop so much as a Mr. Dalrymple stop.
It's probably all over the place here but I can't find it. When I went on this particular side-quest I found This post from thecatHimselfknows on reddit.
Though Crowley no longer has his watch, someone does.
And it's Shax.
Tumblr media
sorry for the shit quality.
So I don't think at all that Crowley's watch specifically has anything to do with his time-stopping ability. I mean, maybe somehow it was imbued or miracled or something. But I don't think so.
Just as far as symbolism, it is another strange and curious GO2 time mystery.
I've also read this in fics but don't remember reading anything about it in the book and it definitely wasn't in the show. The theory is that time works differently in Heaven and Hell. Just another Q I guess I'm throwing out.
So I'm not going to suggest the possibility that in S2 there was some weird time fuckery that put them in Another Place. But the "it's always too late" watch/Another Place nod in a season full of time madness adds to the time suspiciousness for sure.
(I'm working on my tags for all of my weird Q's and random thoughts and meta type deals for my organization for myself so just...yeah)

Something something the way that Crowley introduced himself to Aziraphale the first time they met in the garden and reacted as if they had never met before. Something about him later behaving as if he did actually have those memories of their time in Heaven together and trying to pass it off as being someone different now. Something about Heaven's way of punishing angels that go against the plan by erasing their memories. Something about Crowley seeing Gabriel without his memory and saying "ask him properly." Something about "remember it now" "it hurts, to remember. my head isn't built for that" "I know. Do it anyway"
Something about "I know. Looking at where the furniture isn't"
Something about I know

Crowley, the Snake of Ithaca when he was just… Bildad from Ithaca 🐐 He stole one (1) goat from all his different neighbors so that they'd think it would have been eaten by wolves (if only one is missing is not such a big deal, right?), and it worked! He ended up having one of the biggest herds of goats for free. Athena was like… damn bitch, that was smart. Blessed 👌✨

They really spent a lot of time pointing to the second coming for Apolaypse 2 electric boogaloo
Tumblr media
all 3 minisodes are about ... humans dying and being brought back to life, or more like, how that is not possible...and how Heaven and Hell have worked around that
In A Companion to Owls, Job kids never died even when they should have, Heaven didn't know enough to distinguish that they were the same children and Sitis quickly got that the miracle was... that their children didn't die to begin with. Once they are dead it is game over and Crowley and Aziraphale refused to let them die
In The Resurrectionists (it is literally called The Resurrectionists!!) and it is how one girl is shot and they can't do anything once she is dead. And Crowley still goes off of his way to make sure the other one doesn't kill herself, risking everything. And we know hell's extreme sanctions are probably what makes him ask for insurance, for holy water. On the other hand, this episode is called The ResurrectionistS, plural, but we meet only one of them ..while in the other side of the sign is Christ himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THEN in 1941, we have ZOMBIES, the literal living dead walking around, and Furfur states that he can't make them living people again due to a clause and just leave them as zombies to roam the earth. We see how cursed they are, rotting and bound to eat brains but not human.
EVEN! From episode 1, we get a big Clue: miracles are measured in lazarii, and resurrecting someone is no easy feat. They were telling us to watch out about coming back to life... and how only the mightiest of archangels are able to use that amount of power (or an angel and a demon holding hands...)
and I do want to point out that part of the things Gabriel remembered was this line
Tumblr media
Job kids didn't die, in victorian england Wee Morag died falling in the hands of a resurrectionist, and the Germans died and came back- just not quite alive. Every day it is getting closer,
... they are telling us that the second coming is afoot, but they are also showing us that there is no second opportunity on this earth. Once you are dead, you are dead.
and Crowley, in the direst time when Aziraphale is breaking his little demonic heart, says
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now, the plan to resurrect one human to make the end of the world happen is in Aziraphale's hands.

I don't think we realise in just how much danger Aziraphale is in right now.
Crowley didn't tell him what they planned to do to Gabriel... That they planned to completely erase his identity and use him as workforce after. He has no idea that Heaven could and would do that.
Gabriel was the Supreme Archangel of Heaven, Aziraphale is a traitor, the Metatron is NOT his friend. That bitch came down from Heaven himself to split these two apart and whatever he plans to do with Aziraphale in Heaven is probably not far from what he did to Gabriel, if not worse.
He is now surrounded by people who despise him and want him dead. And he's utterly and completely alone...

it was a nice boop. all the boops had been nice. there had been rather more than seven of them so far, and boop hadn’t been invented yet. but boops massing east of boop suggested that the first boopstorm was on its way, and it was going to be a big boop.

Four years ago today, Good Omens had its premiere in Leicester Square.
"The difference between me and Neil in our attitude to movie projects is that he doesn't believe they're going to happen until he's sitting in his seat eating popcorn, and I don't believe they're going to happen." - Terry Pratchett
So seeing this when we went to sit down in the front row made us smile and I had to take a picture !
(Those reserved signs are in our collection btw!)
And I will never forget "Our Rob" forgetting himself and becoming overly excited and shouting Hi Rachel & Jason and waving like a mad thing when he saw us when he came on stage for the Q&A. A fun memory that will sit with us forever.
So with Good Omens 2 coming to your screens at home on July 28th, I am left wondering if there will be a premiere for GO2 as it would be the week of my birthday !
Any idea if there will be @neil-gaiman ?

Dear GO fandom, I need your help!
Does there exist a list somewhere of all the amazing terms our lovely fanfic writers have called Armageddon/the Apocalypse, like „the Nonpocalypse“ or „Armageddon’t“ ?
I’m thinking about doing one every time I come across one of these amazing terms, but maybe one already exists?
Please react to this if you know anything!
