Let’s talk about MHM.
This blog will be mainly about Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) which is a very important term that has become internationally recognized, but not really, yet in my country, Japan and I would like to learn more about.
I am turning 31 years old this year. I had my first menstruation period when I was 12 years old. For the past 19 years, fortunately, I have always had full access to menstrual hygiene products with excellent quality, clean water and safe toilet while many women and girls in the world face challenges when managing their menstruation.
I have been reading some articles and blogs about MHM-related issues and some innovative ideas and products such as menstrual cups, biodegradable sanitary pads, reusable tampon applicator or absorbent period underwear that can contribute to better MHM, and I am also excited about trying those products by myself.
My aim for doing this blog is to share some useful/interesting information related to MHM coming from various locations in the world as well as my own experiences and feedback through this blog with you, regardless of your gender, age, nationality, cultural or religious background.
MHM matters to everyone. But I understand that some people find it difficult, feel uncomfortable or simply don’t like to openly talk about this topic. If that is the case, you do not need to, but you can still think about it.
