i still think about you everyday. it’s only been just under two months so that’s not a surprise really. but you’ve missed so much in these last two months alone.

the college group got back together. it’s really bad that it took you going to bring us together but i guess that’s how life works sometimes. we all came to your funeral. all of us sobbed, even jake. who knew that was possible lol. we went out for drinks in your honour. we’ve been for a lot of drinks in your honour. we all really miss you kurtis. 

your funeral was beautiful though. you would’ve been so embarrassed. we shared so many stories about you; not the one of you in the basement though. that’s gonna stay with us forever. your mum asked us for songs for the service, but all we could think of were all the stupid meme songs that we listened to in class when we should’ve been paying attention. you turned up all fancy too. surrounding by motorbikes. i’m kind of sad i never got to see that side of you. 

i’ve got a new job! you’d be super proud of that. we always talked about going outside our comfort zones and i wonder if it was you that helped push me towards it. i get to support all sorts of people with disabilities and mental illnesses. i was reminded of you the other day because of it. i wish i was there more dude i’m sorry. i know i couldn’t have done anything anyway but it just sucks. 

your mum can’t cope with all three guinea pigs. but i hopefully found them a place. and they won’t be far from me. so i will check on them all the time. i know how much you loved them. i’ll make sure they get the best care.

look at me feeling all sorry for myself while i’m still here lol. nah, but seriously dude. i miss you so much. every single day. but i know you’re keeping an eye on me from wherever you are. love you so much x

Sometimes the autism thing isn’t being oblivious to when someone is hinting at something but instead being unsure of whether the thing you think they’re hinting at is actually something they’re hinting at or if you’re reading into it too much so you just ignore it anyway because you don’t want to be wrong

important to remember that many many countries, 120 countries, voted for a ceasefire and that the international community is not just the global north. the world stands with the palestinian people. those of us in countries who voted no to a ceasefire or abstained (and who actively send military aid to israel) must continue to pressure our representatives to end the genocide & occupation. that means protesting, calling, emailing, boycott, divestment, sanctions.

if you're in the us and you're looking for protests — look for your local jvp, samidoun, or psl chapter on instagram. they are usually organizing or co-sponsoring events.
