Okay but what if I wrote a one-shot of Metal owning a cafe and Sonic randomly walking in one day only to cause a scene because he's CONVINCED Metal is up to no good only for Metal to go, "Are you going to order? If not, please move. You're holding up the line 😤"

And to make this more delightful, everyone knows about the cafe and some characters are even regular customers (Amy, Shadow, Eggman too because why not). Which prompts Sonic to visit on a daily basis, always watching Metal, looking at what Metal does, and slowly but surely starts having some not so straight thoughts like, “Huh, it’s actually cute how he draws the roses on the coffee. Will he make one for me too? Wait- No!”

Metal meanwhile continues hating Sonic but always uses the freshest ingredients for Sonic’s orders and even puts more care into it because, "How dare he. I'm going to show him that I'm BETTER than him. He'll have no choice but to be impressed."

imagine if server room metal sonic is future metal sonic,like everyone else look like adults but metal is literally just a bunch of computers in a high security warehouse and is doing fantastic about it,just living her best life with it, maybe she has a body that goes into the real world for like birthdays or smth but other than that shes just in her own world and maybe thats peace for her

Last night I had a dream where they surprise-dropped three new Sonic Prime episodes, the first of which was a musical, and words can't describe how disappointed I was when I realized that didn't actually happen

Other highlights from it include:

Green Hill suddenly being restored with no explanation as to how

Sonic and Shadow duet

Shadow asking about a huge tidal wave in the distance and Knuckles casually responding with "oh that's just Sonic on another one of his anxiety runs"

Smash cut to the anxiety run in question and Sonic's distress is so palpable that he's shivering, massive tonal clash to how it was just being talked about

Surprise guest appearance from Dave the Intern

Green Hill being overrun by a bunch of Werehog duplicates that I rewound the dream to explain the presence of and then forgot about

Sonic suddenly becoming way grumpier and more unhinged than usual and the comical lack of concern on his friends' part

The rapid shift in personality being NiGHTS's fault (they were trying to give some kind of roundabout moral lesson but failed, Sonic is kind of just freaked out by them now)

Deven Mack absolutely killing it on all of Sonic's musical numbers

I think my one real issue with Vanny and GGY coming back in future installments is just,,, we didn't get any real time with 3 star fam??

Like- we never saw their dynamic, we JUST got confirmation they were even canon only 5 months ago, and now that's all going away before we can even see them interact and we're back to square one with them being Glitchtrapped again?

It's a really interesting concept, Cassie freeing Mimic and getting the two re-Glitchtrapped- I'm not upset about the idea at all, I love it!! I just wish we'd gotten some time with 3 star fam first,,

The best thing I could compare it too would maybe be the Metal Virus saga in the Sonic IDW comics? There were new characters in IDW that we'd basically just met and didn't know a whole lot about, and then they were thrown into a huge climatic saga that felt like it'd rely on us knowing the characters and their dynamics really well and being super attached to them, but we'd practically just met them. It didn't make the saga bad of course, it was amazing! It just felt like it was way too soon in the comics life span and should've come later once we'd gotten to see more of the characters personalities and dynamics.

Just- TLDR; neat concept neat idea I want to see where it goes, but if that's where we're going next with the series then it was done way too soon and we should've gotten at least one installment with 3 star fam before this arc.

Metal Sonic having a werehog moment, Amy seeing him and thinking Eggman created another robot to fight them. On one hand he's big, beefy, spikey, and sharper. On the other hand, Amy doesn't recognize him and can't understand him so she's 1: angry Robotnik replaced Metal, 2: so confused as to why during all this world breaking chaos, robotnik decides to throw something else at them

Falling in love as Amy doesn't recognize him fully and feels guilty and confused about her feelings. So many hedgehogs in her life, should she be falling for this new guy? Meanwhile, conflicting for Metal- does she just like his new look or personality??? Cannot compute...

Hello anon! A nice idea for sure, also "Metal having a werehog moment" sounds really funny to me, like he just has moments like Neo moment or werehog moment.

(I know this was sent a few days ago, sorry)
