Deutsche Medien (im Sinne von Film, Musik, Literatur) haben eine ziemlich schlechte Reputation im Internet und überhaupt, deswegen möchte ich jetzt mal meine Dankbarkeit dafür ausdrücken, dass ich mit deutschsprachiger Kultur aufwachsen konnte.

Ich bin dankbar für die Hörspiel-Kultur, für Wendy und Asterix und ja, ich bin dankbar für die Drei Fragezeichen. Ich bin dankbar für die unfassbare Arbeit die hierzulande in Synchron gesteckt wird. Ich bin dankbar für Wir sind Helden und Deichkind und Thees Uhlmann und Rio Reiser. Ich bin dankbar für Bernd das Brot und Bravo und Viva. Ich bin dankbar für Cornelia Funke und Erich Kästner und Christine Nöstlinger und Bertolt Brecht und Loriot. Für Falco, für Nino aus Wien, für Hader.

Deutschsprachige Pop- und Subkultur ist so so reichhaltig und ich bin extrem dankbar, dass ich die Möglichkeit hatte, sie von Kind auf ohne Sprachbarrieren zu erleben.

Nein!! Mehr übernatürlich!! It can never be enough, deutsches remake mit Jensen in der Hauptrolle, er spielt Dieter und spricht deutsch mit amerikanischem Akzent. Bobby wird von Christian Tramitz gespielt, Rufus von Bully Herbig.

Dafür müssen sich Jens Axel und Jarick Pudeldackel erstmal wieder von ihrer #Jeidung erholen. Zur Zeit spielt Jens Axel aber noch in einer romantischen Bauernkomödie, die in den bayrischen Alpen spielt, zusammen mit Michael Knolle.

oooooOOOOOKAY gladly :) (this is based purely off Vibes) (also, now that you mention it, I have no idea what MBH sounds like)

So to preface this I don't think any of these should be like. Strong. It shouldn't be a bit yk? But german is such a wonderfully varied language and it's a shame everyone everywhere sounds like they stepped straight out of Tagesschau. There should just be a little bit of variety to people's speech, to their r's and vowels, the melody of their sentences, what syllables they put stress on. You know. There is so much pressure on people to smooth down every hint of regional dialect in their speech (unless you are Bavarian) it would have been so cool to just. Not have that. For once.

Anyway.

I am in love with Axel Malzacher's performance and it's almost perfect. But. He's from Munich and I think a tiny little hint of that in Stede's speech would have been nice.

Ed - a hint of Ruhrpott is the obvious answer I think but I'm not sure I'm happy with that? Marius Clarén is from Berlin, so maybe that would work. Taking suggestions.

Buttons obviously has to speak Friesisch.

Frenchie - strong Urberliner vibes.

Black Pete - honestly. Sächsisch. A little bit.

Wee John - Allemannisch! idk why it just Fits.

Lucius is allowed to speak Hochdeutsch but it's the kind they speak in Hannover, that makes you sound like a bit of a dick.

Roach - I'm not sure what exactly Imtiaz-ul Haque is going for? But I like it (even though I do not like that Roach is the only one who has any sort of discernable accent). He should keep doing it.

Swede - should sound like he's from an Ikea commercial like he does in the og. No notes.

Jim - a bit of a Spanish accent? Maybe?? Can we have that? Esp since they kept the Spanish in and it sounds a little awkward?

Olu - Fränkisch. Again, just a bit. Can't explain it.

But overall I think they should have cast voice actors and then told them to just speak with their natural accents! You know! Because dialects are dying out and people are desperate to polish their own accents out of their speech and it's a shame. And this is also the answer to your question on how to include dialects without it sounding like a bit: Just don't do a bit! Just speak with your natural accent! Have some goddamn variety. Include accents not because they're funny but because it's the way some people talk.
