There are no words. This one is really tough to wrap my brain around, let alone my thoughts.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Michael Benjamin. How incredibly sad.

Mikaben was a loving husband, a cherished and dedicated family man. A kindred spirit, a social activist. He regularly participated in important charitable causes;

M Benjamin loved his beloved country. His hit song "Ayti Se" (Haiti is) has become a second powerful anthem for the nation.

Michael Benjamin had been creating music for well over 25 years. He was an amazingly prolific singer-songwriter, rapper, musician, and producer.

A crowd energizing entertainer, and a multi-instrumentalist. He played the guitar, piano, keyboard, bass, and drums.

Mika has worked on countless projects. Last night, I actually filled a piece of paper front and back, and I still couldn't finish adding names. He has written and produced many hits.

Fluent in four different languages; English, French, Creole/Kreyol and Spanish. Mika was a talented rapper as well. I don't even think that most people are aware of all the tunes that he has added his special flare to. "Pitit tig se tig". His dad was Lionel Benjamin. "

My heart breaks for his wife Vanessa,

his children, his family, as well as the close bond of musicians and artists, especially #Carimi as well as everyone who attended the concert. He gave us his all, even at the very end.

May Mika rest in peace and with all the love he gave on Earth.

"Welcome to the celebration of Life of Mikaben

Location is The Miramar Cultural Center 2400 Civic Center Pl, Miramar, FL 33025

The celebration of life will also be streaming live on Mikaben Youtube and Facebook page official account.

Here's what you should know:

Registration opens at 1 PM outside of the center. We strongly recommend registration so that the family can accommodate the public properly.

Unfortunately, we only have a capacity for 2,000 people.

Seating will be on a first come first served as follows:

300 in the ballroom

200 in the Garden

500 on the Plaza

Upon arrival, guests will check in at the appropriate registration table to receive a wrist Band to give them access to one of the seating areas.

The registration tables are as follows:

Family

Musicians

Elected officials

Media

General Public

Salutations will take place from 1 to 2 pm and those of you who only plan to greet the Family and leave will not need to register for a wrist Band.

The Celebration of Life will begin promptly at 3 PM.

Ballroom, Garden and Plaza seating will be able to see the presentation thru LED monitors.

Media: it is strongly recommended that media check in so they may have access to the Media area in the main Theater.

As much as we want everyone to be able to give their respects in person, we do ask that if you are feeling ill or have been exposed to any illness within two weeks please attend online
