Ejercicio 4. Cuento.

Una estrella, o quizás dos…

Recuerdo, que el día de tú muerte, yo iba a visitarte al hospital. Te llevaba tulipanes (tus favoritos por siempre) y gelatina, que era lo único que tu cuerpo podía digerir. Cuando iba llegando a tú habitación, la 308, empezó a sonar una señal, ¡código rojo!, todos corrían con un carro de reanimación y de repente sentí una punzada en mi corazón y lo supe, habías muerto. No pude despedirme de ti, querida abuela, no pude decirte cuanto te amo por última vez, no pude abrazarte, ni besarte, no pude agradecerte por haberme ayudado a construir la mujer que soy, por haberme enseñado a reír con tanta fuerza y también a llorar sin desesperación, por haberme enseñado a cocinar esa torta de banano tan exquisita, por hacerme una mujer independiente, valiente, por haberme hecho creer en mí y pensar que mis convicciones no son erradas, por haberme hecho creer que soy importante, no pude decirte lo orgullosa que siempre estuve de la mujer que eras y de la mujer en que me habías convertido. Empecé a sentir como si un tormento me arrasase, ¿hacia dónde?, ojalá hacia ti.

Tú funeral, fue una miseria para mi corazón, todos lo sabían, ya no habría otra luz que iluminase el lugar, nos habíamos quedado sin la pieza que proporcionaba el equilibrio hasta en la peor sintonía. Quizá y para todo me habías preparado, pero no para estar sin ti.

Y no solo ese día fue una desolación, el resto de mis días lo fueron. Nada tenía sentido, ni mi carrera, ni mi trabajo, incluso ni preparar esa rica torta, todo era oscuro en mi vida, efectivamente, no había más luz.

Cuando creí haberlo superado, salí a trotar un rato, para despejar mi mente, pasé por el lago en el que nos gustaba meter nuestros pies para refrescarlos después de una caminata con los perros, pasaron unas horas divagando en tu recuerdo, mirando al cielo esas estrellas con su luz tan latente y entonces lo resolví. Tú sigues siendo luz, allí en el cielo, como la estrella más bonita y radiante, y por eso vine a acompañarte, porque sin ti a mi lado, ya no supe de qué otra forma brillar.

Carta a una Estrella

Querida estrella:

Te has vuelto tan lejana, como esas esferas de aire caliente en el cielo. No te culpo, yo sabía que sería así, lo supe desde que llegaste a mi vida. Éramos tan diferentes.

Esta carta tiene fecha de entrega, más no de vencimiento. Pues si lees esto hoy o mañana, mis sentimientos y palabras no habrán cambiado, incluso si lo lees cinco años después siempre seguirás siendo mi estrella.

No recuerdo cuando fue la primera vez que te vi, tampoco recuerdo cual fue nuestra primera conversación. Trato de hacerlo, pero solo te veo ahí, de repente, como cuando miras al cielo y descubres que hay una estrella nueva, y como una estrella llegaste a dar luz a mi noche.

Me gusto el que hayas aparecido en mi vida, me has enseñado que un sueño por más loco que parezca siempre tendrá una hipótesis más o menos lógica, y que para una buena historia solo se necesita una gran imaginación y una hora libre.

Si mis cuentas no me fallan, fueron cinco años los que alumbraste mi cielo, siento que han sido tan rápidos, tal vez sea porque en años luz todo ocurre diferente ¿No?

Te has vuelto fugaz y te fuiste de mi cielo, no pude hacer nada para evitarlo, porque no es así como pasan las cosas. Los astronautas no pueden solo guardarse las estrellas en sus bolsillos y quedárselas para siempre. Las dejan en el cielo, donde todos pueden ver lo brillantes que son, como tu. Al pensar en la forma en que te marchaste siento un revoltijo de emociones. Como si estuviera entrando en un agujero negro y mi realidad se distorsionará.

Estrella, ve y alumbra otros cielos como hiciste con el mío, no te preocupes, nadie ocupara tu lugar. Porque estrellas hay muchas, pero como tu... como tú solo hay una, y esa eres tu mi estrella. Busca otros cielos y cuando sientas que los otros cielos están muy llenos, recuerda que el mío siempre necesitara tu luz.

Perdón por todas esas veces en que me contaste todo y yo nunca te conté algo, no es que no confiara en ti, sino que mis historias aun lado de las tuyas eran como viajar a la luna después de haber tocado el sol. Este año nuestros caminos se separaron, pero no me olvides estrella, porque ten por seguro que yo jamás te olvidare...
