New on Netflix: January 2021 Releases
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The first month of a new year is a good time to make a new impression. And that’s just what Netflix seems set on doing with its list of new releases for January 2021.
The streamer is coming out strong with a third season of Cobra Kai, formerly of YouTube Premium. The next installment in Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence’s story is set to arrive…eventually. Netflix has not unveiled a released date yet but it will be during this month. While Cobra Kai is the highlight among Netflix’ original series, it’s not the only one by a long shot. Last year’s fun Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous returns for a second season on Jan. 22 and it will be accompanied by Fate: The Winx Saga. Also, if you’re a fan of things that will one day be .gif’ed to death, the Nicolas Cage-hosted History of Swear Words drops on Jan. 5.
Netflix is bringing a lot of original movies to the table this month as well, which should help make the wait for the vaccine and movie theaters more bearable. Charming, starring Wilmer Valderama, Demi Lovato, and Sia premiers on Jan. 8. The White Tiger, which is based on an excellent novel of the same name, arrives on Jan. 22. Netflix caps off the month with The Dig on Jan. 29. That has a high-caliber starring cast including Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes, and Lily James.
If the theme of 2021 is a “return to normalcy,” this batch of Netflix new releases should have us well on the way.

In the early 1970s, teenagers with disabilities faced a future shaped by isolation, discrimination and institutionalization. Jened was their freewheeling Utopia, a place with summertime sports, smoking and makeout sessions awaiting everyone, and campers felt fulfilled as human beings. Their bonds endured as they migrated West to Berkeley, California — a promised land for a growing and diverse disability community — where friends from Camp Jened realized that disruption and unity might secure life-changing accessibility for millions.
Co-directed by Emmy®-winning filmmaker Nicole Newnham and film mixer and former camper Jim LeBrecht, this joyous and exuberant documentary arrives the same year as the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, at a time when the country’s largest minority group still battles daily for the freedom to exist. CRIP CAMP: A DISABILITY REVOLUTION is executive produced by President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama; Tonia Davis and Priya Swaminathan; Oscar® nominee Howard Gertler (How to Survive a Plague) and Raymond Lifchez, Jonathan Logan and Patty Quillin; LeBrecht, Newnham and Sara Bolder produce.

“Big Mouth” Season 3 & Tons Of Other Titles Arriving On Netflix In October
The last couple of weeks has seen lots of great movies and shows added to Netflix’s plethora of streaming content. From the revival of Drake’s favorite show Top Boy, Sacha Baron Cohen’s The Spy, Dave Chappelle’s special among many other titles, the streaming giant has seemingly proven just why they need to up its subscription price to keep up with the never-ending content.

Such adds to look forward to are Big Mouth: Season 3, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, Men in Black, Dolemite Is My Name and of course, the anticipated Netflix Original series, Rhythm + Flow that sees Cardi B, Chance The Rapper and T.I. search for the next hip-hop star.
As for titles to stream one last time, Scream 4, A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Pineapple Express will be gone by before Halloween arrives – peep the full list below.

Barack and Michelle Obama are following the success of their production company’s first collaboration with Netflix, American Factory — the documentary about a Chinese company opening a factory in Ohio that won Best Documentary Feature at last month’s Oscars — with another documentary available March 25.
Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution chronicles how an upstate New York summer camp for teenagers with disabilities in 1971 led to the formation of the disability rights movement and, ultimately, the 1990 passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The documentary won the Audience Award at Sundance and is already generating a new wave of Oscar buzz for the former president and first lady.
Netflix continues its focus on the realm of documentaries with a second season of Dirty Money streaming March 11, all about the U.S. payday lending industry.
The streamer is also airing the third season of its Emmy-winning series Ozark on March 27, starring Jason Bateman, Julia Garner and Laura Linney.
On the original movie front, Netflix debuts action-comedy Spenser Confidential on March 6, directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Winston Duke, Alan Arkin and singer Post Malone.

Here’s everything coming to Netflix in March 2020 — and what’s leaving
Netflix Inc. viewers, perhaps inspired by the big Oscar wins by “Parasite,” will get a chance to brush up on their appreciation of subtitles as a selection of international series launch in March 2020. Those include Season 3 of Germany’s period mystery “Babylon Berlin” (March 1, after its original Feb. 28 release was pushed back); Season 3 of the Turkish magical action series “The Protector” (March 6); the Brazilian version of the hit reality series “The Circle” (March 11); Season 3 of the Spanish teen drama “Elite” (March 13); Season 2 of South Korea’s zombie action series“Kingdom” (March 13); and Germany’s “Unorthodox” (March 26), a miniseries about a young Jewish woman in Berlin who has fled an arranged marriage. And there’s plenty more for those who don’t want to read their TV, including Season 3 of the dark crime drama “Ozark” (March 27), a standup comedy special, “End Times Fun,” from Marc Maron (March 10), and a trio of original movies — “Spenser Confidential,” a comedy-thriller starring Mark Wahlberg as an ex-Boston cop in the latest adaptation of the iconic character from the Robert B. Parker novels; “Lost Girls" (March 13), starring Amy Ryan, a grim crime drama that premiered at Sundance; and “Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker” (March 20), with Octavia Spencer starring as the first African-American self-made millionaire. Among older movies, Netflix NFLX, +0.33%   is adding “Goodfellas,” “The Shawshank Redemption” and “There Will Be Blood" (all March 1) and 2011’s excellent “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” (March 16), while “Black Panther” is jumping to Disney+ on March 3 and the final two “Lord of the Rings” movies, “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King,” will leave at the end of the month.
