My Taobao order arrived today and the boys got some snazzy new clothes and shoes. c:

Ken got a pair of plain black eyes to replace his grey ones, and I like them in him so much more. He also got a snazzy new black coat. I also got him a pair of glasses, but Jonathan has temporarily stolen them. Been thinking I’d like to get him new hair and maybe get him repainted; been really feeling like he deserves to be his best late 00s goth/j-pop doll self lmao.

Jonathan is also sporting some new shoes and big ol’ pants and I got a little soda cup as a free gift. c:

Shuu also got some shoes that are a bit more his size (they were a bitch to get on his honkin’ feet though……) as well as a new silly shirt. Also finally sueded his neck like I’ve been meaning to for months lmao.

Eye reshaping/resizing mod and faceup on Nell, my Migidoll Jina. I had previously done an eye mod on her, but the craftsmanship was a bit shoddy and the epoxy fell off when I was soaking her head to remove her previous faceup. It’s just as well, because I think this is closer to what I wanted her eye shape to look like anyhow, and it’s a more extensive mod that should be more structurally sound. It’s also not particularly obvious, but I sanded and reshaped chin, nose, and cheekbones slightly.

Materials: Milliput, MSC, acrylic paints, pastels, matte medium, gloss varnish

So, I loved the devotiondoll sense head, but 1) it was mismatched & too dark/pink even without the faceup on (which obviously only darkens things) 2)too sweet/puppy-eyed and didn't have that uhm... edge, for lack fo a better word.

Meanwhile, on our local Polish auction site, someone was selling an old Jina in a bad shape. "Bad" being understatement. The cheeks, lower lip, nose (tip + nostrills) were all sanded... because the ex owner wanted to de-yellow the doll... oh gosh xD

Anyway, I risked since I saw her first lower the price, then be open to negotiating it even further and I got that cheeky lil fella for around, I kid you not, 20 bucks. Well... it's a "project/junk doll", so it's not that crazy either, actually... And I was a lil scared if that won't be a recast (back in the day when people knew what Migidoll was, there were some recs, to my bect knowledge), but anyway it's pleasantly heavy and migi-like <3

So, my plans are to get his glam goth vibes (think Phil Lewis of LA Guns, Steve Summers of the PBF, Bela Lugosi and Dave Vanian)... For now, he's rocking his "non-binary tiktok activist who shoves puberty blockers up kid's throats and trashtalks about Blaire White" look... ;) In other words, I need a different wig for him lol :D

Textured Night and Cassiel, and apparently my watch. Worked a bit backwards on Night because I’m waiting for some blending brushes to come in before I start on his dramatic makeup. My watch/hand got nailed with paint because I flick the paint upwards and let it float down to the face to avoid flick marks. It’s a bit more unpredictable but it works for me.

It takes a lot for my dolls to freak me out, but I looked over and Kellum was giving me the death stare! I jumped. Lol Poor boy still needs a face-up, he got new eyes the other day, a haircut (which is kinda dorky but I like it), and a dress in the mail! Neato
