Nah fr he was all happy about Dustin having a gf and asking about her and the moment he finds out about Will making a painting for a girl(it was literally for him) he likes he's all closed off and weird about it .  "I think there's someone he likes cuz he has been acting weird" and then Mike's the one acting weird around Will like yes I understand the fact that they haven't talked for months but Will wasn't acting like that and he was happy to see him and you can’t even say he was acting like that cuz he knows that Will’s in love with him since he doesn’t even know Will’s gay

I would very much enjoy it if s5 introduced a queer coded guy in the first few eps and everyone just assumed that he's Will's new love interest and that after Mike rejects Will, then Will is going to get with this new guy..

But then the guy starts flirting with Mike instead.

And Will was happy to support Mike's relationship with his sister (who is now Mike's ex), but he is NOT going to let this random dude flirt with the love of his life!!!!!

no i need you guys to listen to me . Look me in my eyes. will is hyper aware of what flirting looks like and knows how to avoid said situations if need be. Mike Wheeler, the most autistic boy in the whole entire world, would not recognize he’s being flirted with Ever. the only person he picks up on it with is will because he knows will, he doesn’t understand other people. he is hyper prone to accidental flirting by trying to get his assignments done with his partner or helping people pick up stuff they dropped and will is fighting for his life trying to make people understand mike Isn’t available while not being able to be open about it and he can’t find any good solutions because his sweaters don’t fit mike and what if that’s too obvious and as much as hickeys might work mike still needs to look professional because he’s trying to maintain his reputation with different professors who he really likes and there’s not much he can do without being obvious himself so he comes home one day with rings and they’re technically promise rings but if the public thinks mike is married . well that’s just a win in will’s book

Jealous Will fic potential

per @parkitaco’s post on jealous Will which I have been thinking abt nonstop, Will being jealous over Mike getting a bf would be such a juicy fanfic bc of the different reasons as to why Mike and Will don’t think the other returns their feelings:

Mike is skeptical bc of his own poor self esteem. Despite sometimes having his suspicions, he genuinely doesn’t understand how someone like Will could love him. I don’t think Mike thinks Will is straight, or that it even matters that much to him, bc he thinks love is transactional and that he himself doesn’t have much to offer Will (he’s of course, wrong on both accounts lmao).

Will, on the other hand, is now convinced Mike is straight. He probably used to think Mike could be queer (season 2 and probably pre canon even), but he was “proven” wrong in an extremely painful way (rain fight, season 3 in general, etc) and now despite Mike sometimes showing clear signs that he returns Will’s feelings (bedroom scene) Will simply doesn’t allow himself to hope. Will thinks Mike doesn’t return his feelings because he thinks Mike is straight (it’s also bc he believes that he doesn’t deserve to get what he wants but yk that’s another post, Will is complex guy), I def think he would have more hope if Mike never got a girlfriend and they never had the rain fight and everything building up to it lol.

So just imagine, if it Will finds out that Mike is in fact queer via getting a boyfriend that’s not Will. I don’t think Will would do his whole “I’m just gonna sit back and let Mike be happy, even if it’s not with me” mentality this time. No, Will would be petty. Petty and jealous and if he ever interacted with said bf when Mike wasn’t looking he would use the full scope of his WillByersSassTM, and Even better if this is Will and Mike in college and they’ve rebuilt their friendship so they’re close again, so Mike’s bf gets jealous of the byler friendship and it’s a petty feud between him and Will and Mike is extremely confused, and ofc Mike had sworn up and down to himself that he wasn’t gonna push Will away just bc he was dating someone so he tries his best but he didn’t account for how jealous Will was gonna be and AUGH the drama potential I can see it so clearly—

So, Eddie and Steve are dating, so obviously their friend groups meet. The spicy six meet Corroded Coffin and the Hellfire Club. Let's just say, Gareth and Steve hit it off- they hit it off very well. They talked about hair and music, Gareth being a former ABBA fan and everything. And it's all going well, and Eddie's just glad everyone's getting along.

Gareth also gets a long with Will once he joins Hellfire. The older boy is only one year above him, so he easily makes conversations with Will. And they too talk about music. They both love Queen and Motley Crue. And they also both have an appreciation for art. Will likes making art and Gareth likes observing it. They work well together, they make each other happy
