A tail lined with purple fur went over a doorknob. Comeing off it leaving a slippery soap like substance that was hard to see if you weren't looking at all. The Donatello applying it looked like he was doing some amount of focusing. Near by his leo looking like he was just chilling but was actually watching for aproaching people.

On the other side of the cabin, a Michelangelo from a different universe sat alone, painting over the cracks on his arms with brilliant colors. He surreptitiously looks around. Much like the winged Leo, he was keeping an eye out for anyone approaching.

"Ok done with this one" the words were spoken quietly before the hybrid donatello left the door. His leo quickly following. Both of them smiling and already trying to hide giggles.

Michelangelo looks up as the pair approaches. He carefully picks up the paints and stands up, brushing himself off. "How'd it go?" He whispers, eyes gleaming.

"So far so good knob is cover thuroughly!" MH!Donnie grinned.

"This is going to be so good." MH!Leo added. Both hybrids eyes glinting in excitment.

"Oh mi gosh, I'm so excited!" Mikey tries not to cackle. "The others are over here."

"Right lets hurry" MH!Leo erged as they went. Both the MH!disaster twins tails flicking excitedly.

Another Donatello flaps his hands excitedly to see them. This one was a few years older and fully turtle. He quickly turns back to operating a camera on a tripod, smirking to himself.

The camera itself was aimed into the center of a portal that surrounded the lens. One way spy portals were one of OS!Leo's specialties.

The Leonardo in question sat beside him, lazily waving at the MH! twins and OS!Mikey. He slashes his sword in the air, creating a second viewing portal. He gestures to the bowl of popcorn beside him.

"Now we just sit back and watch the show."

"What? Let me see." Donnie replied as he tried to open the doorknob as well, but he was also having trouble.

"Ugh, Nardo! If this is another prank, I-"

"Well, I see people on the roof." Seina added.

Donnie paused as he looked up and saw them on the roof, which made the gang frozen as MH Leo wave awkwardly.

Three tugs at the door, whimpering as his hands couldn't grip the door handle. He starts breathing quickly. He was supposed to hang out with the others! He left for like...10 minutes!! 10!!!

"no- No- no- no-" nothing felt real, his pillow was cake, stuff was missing, he hurt his family he knows he did. How he didn't see it before looking at the blue who KNOWS-

He just wanted out, he wanted his new dads, his family, his soldiers.

"please!" He starts crying as he couldn't get the door open before he sat down, curling up against the door. Someone could come get him soon...maybe...

Mikey shivered as he walked in the sewers. The part he was in was dark and unfamiliar. Not a part he or his brothers had frequented.

Well it wasn’t till Leo and Donnie had started acting weird. Mikey, April, Cass, Casey, and Raph had split up to look for them after they ran off. Mikey frowned before stopping. They were here he could still feel them.

“Leo? Donnie?” they’d better answer he wasn’t going to leave empty handed.

“Mikey you shouldn’t have come looking for us.” Leo’s voice rang out. Mikey glared a bit. “You should go home.”

“not without you two.” Mikey saw their eyes before seeing them still covered in shadows but the two sets of heterochromatic eyes practically glowed. “you-you’re still our brothers small changes or not.”

“Smalll? Michel being turned into vampires was not a ‘small change’.” Donnie spoke up. “we’ve become a threat to you and the others.”

“you’re not a threat. You wont-“

“we almost did” Leo cut him off. The slider wasn’t crying. He was holding it in because that would just make things worse. Not even emotionally having blood tears and being a blood sucker meant the hunger would be worse. “we almost bit you and Raph. We’ve been so close to hurting you guys.”

Mikey just took his brothers hands at that, support while making sure they couldn’t run again. A determined look on his face. “but you didn’t you’ve resisted the erge to do that. You wont hurt us. We can figure out how to help you even if we cant…change you back.” Mikey Smiled. “so lets go home…and call everyone. We were all worried….”

“Ok…Ok…” Mikey lead them back home…and called everyone else because he found them.

So I wanted to write a halloween rise one shot. I wanted it about vampires leo and Donnie. I didnt want it to be in my fangs and futures au verse (writers block is a b but I will write the next ch)

Also I hope it was clear that everything was platonic. Im not the best at tones. I dont ship Tcest but that doesnt mean my intent wasnt misread.

So this was basically just a little one shot au. If yall wanna talk to me about taking over i would be fin with that but. *shrugs*

Kadeen takes their hand off the door, wiping their hand on their jeans with a grimace.

"I can FEEL your eyes on me, and I am NOT IN THE MOOD. Don't test my patience."

Uhoh... all the pranks are adding up. They take a deep breath, trying their best to steady themselves. Somehow, a blue streak appears in their hair- they groan, clutching their eye scar.

"Guh- it's okay, it's okay. Breathe. You’re okay. Just go to bed, chickadee."

Somehow, the substance starts to glow slightly- and it all comes off with a wave of Kadeen’s hand. They throw the substance to the side, opening the door, and-

The Ledge #595: Replacements Tribute Albums

As one of those lunatics who tends to collect anything and everything asoociated with artists I love, it's probably no surprise that I have quite a few tribute albums devoted to The Replacements. When Let the Bad Times Roll (a Tribute to The Replacements) was released earlier this month, I did a deep dive in my archives and discovered that I actually owned seven of these types of records.

With that in mind, it was a no-brainer to do a show devoted to nothing but Replacements tribute albums. The seven records represented tonight have been released throughout the last three decades, and include releases originating in Australi and Italy. There's a few semi-big names but there are as many, if not more, bands whose career I know nothing about.

I also made myself a challenge that I would try not to duplicate any songs...and I succeeded! There are 35 different Replacements tracks covered by 35 different artists. Ok, there is one artist who appears twice - Mikey Erg's band, Ergs, covers "I'm in Trouble" while as a solo act he performs "Wake Up"

Just because the overall theme revolves around The Replacements doesn't mean that I'm ignoring the "52 Weeks of Teenage Kicks" series. In fact, you get a double dose of covers tonight to open and close the show. The first version is by an L.A. band called Kolars. They're a duo that features a drummer that tap dances rhythms with her feet atop a bass drum while simultaneously playing a stand-up kit. The version that closes the show, Freddy Lynxx and the Jet Boys, is led by a Johnny Thunders fanatic who actually allowed his hero to choose his band's name. 

As I do every week, however, I must again plead with y'all for more versions of "Teenage Kicks". If you are a musician, or have any contact with artists that could record their own take on the classic, please contact me!
