Oldest son and third Child of the Silva family. A free spirited boy Nozel has been trying to train into the next Silva family head, but it has not been very easy.

Mikhail is a curious and incredibly friendly boy. Despite Nozel's attempt at strict training he very much thinks that Mikhail is his "mothers son". He inherited much of Briar's wanderlust from her younger years and is constantly craving new things, experiences and stories. He's particularly fond of old timey tales of people slaying monsters, and the stories his mother would tell from her land and her people.

He is the kind of boy who would eat something simply because he was curious what it tasted like even if its appearance was less than ideal. Or the kind of person who had to roll around and lounge in a flower field simply because you should enjoy the little things in life.

There's not much he dislikes, though he will joke about not being fond of bitter or spicy foods. He craves to travel the world and see other places, but knows a lot of his responsibilities lie at home with his family. But he will enjoy what freedom he can while he can.

He constantly carries a sword at his side, thinking himself an old fashioned night from his mothers old bedtime stories. It's made of his elder sister's steel magic and he's quite good at using it as well, preferring to use this rather than his actual magic. He inherited his mothers dream magic, which is very different from Dorothy's and far more dangerous. He spent a lot of time with his mother so she could teach him how to properly use it, and is thus more fond of her.

Brazil’s Lula Intensifies Diplomatic Push for Peace in Ukraine

Brazil President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva is intensifying a campaign to mediate an end to Russia’s war in Ukraine as he seeks to reinsert Brazil in the global political stage.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin was quoted by Russia’s Tass news agency Thursday as saying Moscow is studying Lula’s proposal to end the conflict as it continues to assess the situation in Ukraine.

The idea being floated by the Brazilian president is to create of a group of countries, possibly including India, China and Indonesia, to mediate peace talks between the nations as war fatigue starts to grip parts of the world.

Brazil is hardly the only country pushing peace proposals as the conflict approaches its first anniversary on Friday. China, Turkey and numerous others have also sought to mediate negotiations in recent weeks and months.

Lula’s efforts to position Brazil and himself as pragmatic middlemen in the conflict, meanwhile, may still be hurt by comments he made last year, when he told Time Magazine that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the United States and the European Union all shared blame for the Russian invasion. A top Ukrainian official slammed the comments as a “Russian attempt to distort the truth” in response.

The most expensive missing painting in the world, The Concert by Vermeer has surfaced. General Ferrari has enlisted Gabriel to find it. Along the way Gabriel stumbles into a huge and potentially catastrophic operation involving Russia, an enigmatic Danish thief and high ranking players with a lot of money. Gabriel must oversee one of the most daunting operations of his career to prevent nuclear war.

This was one of the more intricate storylines in any Gabriel Allon book. Art, money, nuclear weapons, deception, secrets and much more. It traversed the globe in it's settings and had a wide range of wonderful and at time evil characters. All very well drawn and intricate.

The story unfolded in methodical fashion, with sometimes brief moments of sheer adrenaline. About 100 pages before the end though the pace ratcheted up, and the conclusion to the Russian operation was intense.

The humor and sarcastic dialogue, especially between Gabriel and Eli was wonderful. These two men know each other so well, they are more than family. They always, always have each other's backs. Gabriel's family were also enjoyable characters, especially Irene. She is so like him, and she gravitates toward him so much. Seeing that relationship depicted is heartwarming. His son Raphael is more quiet and reserved.

Ingrid was one of my other favorite characters. She was like no other female asset that I had read in Silva's books. She was clever, talented in lots of ways, smart and calm under pressure. Her relationships with all the characters were interesting. She held her own, and didn't always follow orders.

There were just a few small things that bothered me, I think because I am such a huge fan of these books and I know them so well. First and foremost Chiara's jealousy of Anna. After everything Chiara has been through, how much Gabriel has shown her he loves here and will do anything to protect her, we still have this jealous side. It just irked me. Another thing was the reunion with his team, and Ari. I'm really glad we got to see them all again, though Rimona's attitude of anger bothered me. I had always hoped if we did get to see him work with his team again it would have been more amicable. Ari, Eli and Mikhail were wonderful though, as was the little we got to see of Dina. Third the whole situation with the Vermeer disappointed me. Gabriel had had cases of missing famous art before, and the end results had always been much more complete and resolved. Maybe it will continue into the next book, at least I hope. Lastly, I think I could have lived my entire reading life and not had to see Gabriel use the word woke. When I read that it just struck me as so out of character.

An absolutely wonderful book, and I cannot wait for the next one!

HELP. Feels a little out of place doing her profile first but I've been reworking her a lot and am finally getting satisfied with her UuU so here is Leolai, a character who's been in the works for a while. It's kind of funny how a next gen oc is getting the first profile. I very much have enjoyed her as a character and who she is, as I think it creates potential for some nice drama and conflict for specific reasons.

A homunculus created by a fairy named Gepetta and taken in by Briar Rose after her defeat during the spade kingdom arc.

Leolai's was created by a fairy named Gepetta, whos magic involved making hyper realistic dolls of other people after she was able to study their Grimoire. However this fairy had an unhealthy obsession with going beyond just dolls and wanted to make something REAL and ALIVE. So with her magic, experimentation and a sample of potent mana (Fuegoleon's arm in this case) she finally managed to make Leolai, but Gepetta was slain during the spade kingdom arc by Briar Rose shortly after her creation. Leolai, as an infant, was later discovered and adopted by Brair. Her presence sparked many fights between Briar and other individuals; Fuegoleon especially, who insisted on taking the girl in himself. But Briar would fight him on it due to the fairy blood in her body and nature of her "birth", wanting to keep an eye on her herself. This would spark a rather intense feud between the Vermillion's and the Silva's once Mereoleona got involved. It would be settled eventually as Leolai got older.

Leolai would be confused as she was the spitting image of Fuegoleon (because she's basically his altered clone) yet she lived within the Silva family being raised alongside Avalina, Nymphadora and Mikhail. While the two families settled on letting her move between the two houses so she could see Fuegoleon, she ultimately lived with the Silva's so Briar could oversee her growth. As she wasn't sure what would happen to her as she got older.

Growing up Leolai would be lonely, choosing not to interact with her adoptive siblings because they were moms "real children" while she saw herself as some kind of fake. And she couldn't understand why she was being shared between the two families.

She eventually does learn of her origins and her aggression only skyrockets as she becomes tormented by emotions and confusion. Feeling lost. Briar will keep her close and act as motherly as she can, as Leolai's magic is the spitting image of her younger sister, Cinderella.

It is later determined by Briar that Leolai is the new Cinderella fairy, her Mana stones manifesting on her chest as she gets older.

Because of how she was "born" Leolai does not have a grimoire. This is also a sign of her fairy magic

Leolai's name is a combination of Vermillion tradition and Briar's sentiment. Leo- a commonly used in man family vermillion names. And Lorelai- the name of Briar's aunt, who she loved deeply. Nozel came up with it when Briar and Mereoleona were bickering on what her name should be.

She thinks Fuegoleon's egg trick is the coolest thing in the world.

She looks like Fuegoleon's little clone because no other DNA was used in her creation.
